The waist is short so the wide waist band sits lower on my hips. I like that part because, despite my long torso, I often turn the waist band down on shorts for a lower ride. The waist band is not restrictive and keeps the shorts in place to avoid extra movement.

My fit issues are butt and around my hips. I do alot of squat work outside of my running time so I have a healthy rear and upper thighs. The cut is too small for me. On the flip side, the waist fits fine. Going up a size does not help as the waist bunches. It appears to be a proportion issue. If I had a smaller butt, these would probably be spot on.

I would suggest these to someone who has a straighter line from waist to hips to upper legs. Consider this also if you have issues with waist band movement. You would likely appreciate the sturdy construction in that area.

    These shorts are wonderful! I have a tough time finding comfortable and stylish shorts for running and working out, but these have both aspects. They fit very well and I like that the drawstring is on the inside.

    As for the size, I am 5'3 and 124 pounds. The medium fits be perfectly. I will definitely be buying another pair!

        The shorts look really cute, but sadly these shorts are not made for women with larger hips. I usually wear a small in all other brands with no problem, so I was very surprised how snug these shorts were from the waist band to the bottom of the hip. The waist sizing was fine, so sizing up would just make the waist too large without correcting for the hips. If you have a petite frame, or smaller hips, then the shorts should fit you fine. However, if you have a longer stride, or larger hips, these shorts won't work so well.
