They're very comfortable and have a flattering fit, but they do NOT stay in place and constantly ride up with any movement.

I bought 5 of these to wear under military uniforms in hot weather and they worked great.
No chafing.
I don't think I could wear them by themselves for running because I agree with another reviewer that they can ride up your leg.

These shorts were very comfortable and looked great however the minute I started running in them, the material started riding up my thigh and I ended up exposing way too much flesh. I think for anyone with some curves, be aware these ride up and will show more than just your toned legs.

These shorts run larger than the sizing indicates, so get a size smaller than you think if you want "compression".

Awesome shorts! I would prefer it to have a slightly lower waistband. But these are by far the best running shorts I have owned. Great fit, comfort, and style!

I honestly like the RRS 3" shorts from last season better. I would prefer a higher waistband. It would have been perfect to add the 1/2 inch to the old style in my opinion.
