First, I almost never wear shorts because I have full thighs and shorts generally creep and bunch up or just look unflattering. The length on these shorts is nice, modest but not ridiculous. I wore them around the house for a bit to see if they would creep up and they seemed okay, but when I wore them for a short run today they did ride up a bit (though not awfully). Also, the fabric does not qualify as compression in my book, it fits snugly but definite not supportive to me. They'll be added to my rotation for very hot days instead of capris, but they still aren't quite perfect if you're "curvy".

I am definetely a woman who "needs some extra coverage!" Haha, but I just look at it as more to love! However, sometimes you just feel like compressing things a little. That's why these Women's RRS Velocity 6" Compression shorts are right up my alley! Whenever I wear them, things feel way more compact. And you should see the stares! For all those "large and in charge" women out there who occasionally feel the need to compress, I highly recommend these!

I love these shorts. I ran over 7 miles in them with no chaffing! They are a nice length on my leg and I like the plain black color. Easy to mix and match shirts to go with. I usually wear a size medium running shorts (in other brands) and that is what I ordered here and they fit perfectly. The side pocket does not seem overly useful but I can go without a pocket most of the time. I also ordered the newer version of this short (with the yellow stripe) and that one didn't fit as snugly & it seemed to be 3/4" shorter in the leg. The back pocket was nicer and bigger so IF you really NEED the nice pocket I would recommend that one instead. But I prefer this one! I am returning the one with the yellow stripe.

I am a 50 something women that bought these for a Warrior dash, so I was covered when I got all wet and muddy. They fit well and performed the way I wanted. Kept me covered and comfortable. I will wear these running in the future and will purchase more

I originally purchased this short over the winter to wear as an additional layer under pants for my cold weather runs. I am ordering another pair b/c it has quickly become my favorite pair of shorts to wear alone. It stays exactly where it is supposed to without riding up and looks and feels fantastic!! Love that I have more color choices!!!

I have trouble wearing shorts and this pair actually fits well. Usually shorts start to creep up as I run but these stay in place! I would absolutely recommend them!

I bought it for working out and spin class. It's nice to have shorts in a variety of lengths. After I received mine, I bought more for my family members. I thought they'd love the fit, too.

These are the best shorts! I now own three pairs, and they are the only shorts I wear to run in. The inseam is the perfect length so that it hits in a spot on my leg that is both comfortable and flattering. I have not had any problems with them riding up like I have had with other shorts in the past.

I love these shorts. My thighs are my biggest part, so I can't wear baggier shorts as they ride up. These do not. I am on my 2nd size (had to buy smaller as I lost weight).

My #1 priority for running shorts is that it has to have at least one pocket that is big enough to carry an iPhone. I was floored to find a compression short that met this criteria. Not only that, but it is actually located in a convienient spot. Oh yeah, they are also super comfortable. I originally bought these to wear under my running pants in the winter to help keep my thighs warm but have used them on there own a few times during this mild fall here in Eastern PA. These must have been designed by a woman!

I've been looking for shorts or a skort for the past few years that actually stays down and covers my thighs so I don't get that awful [*] rub. I've tried others, many others. But this is the first one that I'll actually buy again! I ran 7 miles today (the longest yet in these shorts) and I didn't need to bend down and pull them down at all! I'm getting ready for a third marathon and I will be buying more of these

Despite logging a marathoner's miles, I have a very curvy lower half. This is the most comfortable pair of shorts I've ever found, for a few reasons. First, no pinching at the waist or hem - the elastic lies flat (even if your stomach isn't). They ride up a teeny bit on the leg, but otherwise stay put. They're long enough to help stop thigh chafe. They're also long enough to prevent you from feeling scandalous while running around in compression shorts. The pocket is serviceable for compression shorts - you can easily carry ID or some cash for a post-run pit stop...maybe also a single car or house key. These have made me a believer and they're now my go-to shorts for speedwork, long runs, and racing.

These shorts are perfect for running - not too tight, but not too loose! Great for those of use whose upper thighs touch :)

These shorts are the best thing ever for running! I run 60-70 miles each week. Wearing these compression shorts is like running with just an extra layer of skin between you and the elements. You may sweat, but the fabric doesn't show sweat marks. The compression holds your legs "in" and they don't rub against each other at all. The stomach is equally held tightly, but comfortably, in place. Additionally, the side zipper is a great place to put your car key. These shorts are fantastic!

I really like the feel of this material, but I didn't get the right size. I normally wear a Large in running bottoms and ordered the same for these. I found they were way too loose for 'compression' shorts! I think they would have been great in the right size, but I will have to return them. I recommend ordering a size smaller than you usually order, as they are supposed to feel tight! I look forward to trying them out in a Medium!

I love the fit, however next time I would go a size smaller. I think with my weight lose I misjudged my true size. I do love that the shorts cover my "mom belly", I didn't feel any jiggle when running, I was VERY comfrotable.

I just wore this in my very first half marathon. I am sooo glad i bought them. Fit very well, very comfortable, and even look good. I am a little curvy and felt very confident in these. Definitely going to buy a couple more pairs!

I've worn these shorts for years....love them, until this time. With my last order in Aug 2009, I noticed they've changed the seeming on these shorts. More seems---more scratchy seems. I've never gotten abrasions before and it's all right along the new seams.
