I love these shorts for my longer runs of 8 to 13 miles. the lenght and compression are just what I need. No problem with any chafing. sounds like some of the other reviewers should have tried their gear out on a short run for the first time rather than going long or doing a race.

Good value compression, ideal for training. I too like the 9" length. Jim - why would you wear new gear on a 50km race? Painful way to learn a basic lesson.

I second the tightness at the bottom of the short, but that really shouldn't discourage anyone from trying them out. The 9" seems to be just the right length for me (5'11") and the compression makes a noticeably positive difference.

terrible shorts. I used these for a 50k mountain race-terrapin mtn. 50k in va. After 9 miles the "boys" were rubbed raw from the seams . luckily I had a real long second shirt i could use to protect the boys.

Pretty good short. A little tight at the bottom of the legs, but otherwise quite comfortable for short or long runs. Just did a 13 miler and a 14 miler and found the shorts to do their job well.

I bought 2 pairs of these because I like tight shorts. I like them for extra warmth and the compression for a nagging hamstring strain. They fit really well and the mesh side pocket was more accomodating tnan I expected. On my long runs, I rely on these shorts for comfort and support.

These are very comfortable. The mesh side is not see-through but helps keep you cool.
