Comments about Mens R-Gear No Excuses 6" 2-in-1 Shorts: I don't like running shorts with built in mesh liners since they seem to chafe on long runs. These shorts have a built in liner made of a soft material like a pair of soft shorts which do not chafe yet keep everything secure. These are my top running shorts. I can run for hours in these shorts with no problem. Best ones on the market. The inside liner runs a little small but not really a size down.

Comments about Mens R-Gear No Excuses 6" 2-in-1 Shorts: I've had these for several months now and run in them once a week. I also have the similar Nike product and wear them once a week. Compared to the Nike these have a heavier, stronger compression lining; are warmer; and I suspect are more durable. That said the Nike are my favorite shorts and these aren't. The Nike liner is cut for men, these don't seem to be. They are really too tight through the center and have a tendency to ride down plumber-style in the back. They are the first running shorts I've ever had to tie at the waist. Will I continue to use them? Yes. Would I buy them again? No. The Nike are well worth the extra money.

Comments about Mens R-Gear No Excuses 6" 2-in-1 Shorts: These shorts provided much better compression than my Asics 2 in 1 shorts which are more of a regular short with a boxer liner. The downside is that the compression part is a heavier fabric and a tad on the warm side when running in 95+ Texas heat

Comments about Mens R-Gear No Excuses 6" 2-in-1 Shorts: My only issue with the shorts is that the pockets don't have zippers.

Comments about Mens R-Gear No Excuses 6" 2-in-1 Shorts: I have 5 or 6 pairs and love them. The only thing that would make them better would be to incorporate a small, zippered pocket in the back (similar to RoadRunner Sports' other styles).
Pros Cons Best Uses Comments about Mens R-Gear No Excuses 6" 2-in-1 Shorts: My only real problem with these shorts is that the MP3 player pocket can barely hold an older iPod Nano. A new Nano should fit without a problem, but the older models fit very tightly and you have to really bend the headphone wire which will probably cause it to malfunction over time. This pretty much renders the pocket useless for me.
Comments about Mens R-Gear No Excuses 6" 2-in-1 Shorts: I prefer the built in compression short and baggy short combination. Fits great. Comments about Mens R-Gear No Excuses 6" 2-in-1 Shorts: PROS: Pros

Comments about Mens R-Gear No Excuses 6" 2-in-1 Shorts: I've had several generations of these shorts and they have evolved from thick beasts to a somewhat more refined pair of shorts. The compression layer is great to prevent chafing and the outer layer is a very smooth and lightweight fabric. The pockets are large and deep and great for carrying a few gels and for holding the wrappers. These are good for the price and hard to complain about.

Comments about Mens R-Gear No Excuses 6" 2-in-1 Shorts: fabric not sewed well, the stitching came apart on the inner compression in a very short time.

Comments about Mens R-Gear No Excuses 6" 2-in-1 Shorts: I've had a previous version of these shorts for apprx 10 yrs and decided it was time to update them. I noticed some of the comments refered to them being too hot in the summer. Living in south central NM, I never realy intended to wear them in the summer: they fill a niche in the inbetween spring and fall when its too cool for 3" inseam shorts and too warm for tights. Therefore, they fit this need well.

Comments about Mens R-Gear No Excuses 6" 2-in-1 Shorts: I use the shorts only for running. I usually run about 40 miles per week. They are comfortable and durable. They are good shorts all around. The only thing I would change is the compression shorts are a bit thick and they don't compress well. It's like they are half a size bigger the shorts. That said I own 3 pair and I can't find a better pair of shorts for the money.

Comments about Mens R-Gear No Excuses 6" 2-in-1 Shorts: The liner seam is so thick that it rubs in ALL THE WRONG SENSITIVE places.... I really wanted to like these, but at mile 10 on a 20 mile run I developed a sore in a place that you never want sores...... not sure if I will ever wear them again.

Comments about Mens R-Gear No Excuses 6" 2-in-1 Shorts: In genearl they are great shorts, but the waist elastic is a bit snug even when loosely tied. After 2 hours or so they start to dig in a little. Hoping that will reduce as they get used more.

Comments about Mens R-Gear No Excuses 6" 2-in-1 Shorts: These are truly great shorts, especially in the winter the compression short keeps you warm. Though beware because heat rash is possible during humid summer months. At these times leave these shorts for short 5-7 mile recovery runs.
