Comments about RRS Elite 1 Plus Hydration Pak:

I appreciate RRS's great return policy-go RRS! Unfortunately, this belt did not work well for me. I am a size 6 female with an hourglass figure, and this belt was not made for my shape. When it was on my hips, it kept riding up to be on my waist, where it was way too loose and flapped around. When I tightened it to go around my waist, the belt part did not lay flat. And worse yet, it gave me terrible indigestion. It might work better for guys, or women that are less curvey. RRS, can you design a belt for women???

Comments about RRS Elite 1 Plus Hydration Pak:

Do NOT purchase this belt. I bought one yesterday and the buckle broke as I was putting it on. Returned it to the store and they said this was the 3rd one returned for the same reason. The store has advised the distributor of the design flaw, but the design flaw (weak plastic in buckle) has NOT been fixed. The belt is a great design, just a horrible design flaw in the buckle.

It was a nice try RRS but not worth $35. My belt only survived about 6 runs before the buckle broke while hiking. The belt design is probably great if your frame is over a certain size. Big disappointment.

Comments about RRS Elite 1 Plus Hydration Pak:

I use this belt for my runs over 7 miles and it has worked very well for me. In order to tighten the belt enough to keep the bottles from bouncing, the excess straps on both sides kind of make a loop in front of me. I love the pocket which holds my cell phone and 2 gels with no problem.

Comments about RRS Elite 1 Plus Hydration Pak:

I agree, doesn't bounce much, easy enough to get the bottle in and out but did anyone have the same trouble with the clip. In less than 2 miles I had broken the clip trying to adjust the pack. RRS is sending another free of charge and I'm returning this one but the weak link seems to be the buckle up front.

This bounced like crazy when I tried to put the bottle behind me, no matter how high or low I put it. I tried switching it to my belly and this eliminated the bounce entirely and was a very comfortable fit for me.

Comments about RRS Elite 1 Plus Hydration Pak:

This is fantastic! I used it for the first time last night. It has minimal bounce, and is very comfortable. I usually use an Asics pak that has the bottles positioned on the side, but this is much more comfortable. The bottle is a little tricky to replace back in the pak while running, but I think it will just take some time to get used to the positioning. Overall, a great product!

Comments about RRS Elite 1 Plus Hydration Pak:

I did a lot of research and was hoping for the best. This hydration pack has not let me down. It moves around very little even when completely full. I can now run different routes than I normally run thanks to having water with me. It's great!!

Comments about RRS Elite 1 Plus Hydration Pak:

I LOVE this product. i am currently training for a half-marathon, and it worked great for me. it bounced very little, stayed tight against my back through the whole run, and never twisted around my waist. the waist band adjusted nicely, and i loved having the key hook and pocket for whatever i want to carry - plenty of room for cell phone, id, whatever. and i love that it has a place to put your shirt so you don't have to strap that around your waist as well. i would definitely recommend!!

Comments about RRS Elite 1 Plus Hydration Pak:

Keeping in mind that there is no hydration system (that I've found anyway) that is both convenient to use and fill yet easy to carry, this one isn't bad. Fuel belts bounce less but who has time to refill 4 (or 6) bottles on a long run? This bottle is easy to get to and fill up and the angle allows it to be positioned in a way that's comfortable. One reviewer mentioned it hit the spine but it can be easily slid to the left to "ride" on top of your...bottom. I agree it has to be made fairly tight to minimize bounce, particularly when the water is full. I have had success with going tight when I start, loosening it as the bottle empties (easy to do with a quick tug on the buckle), then drawing the straps tighter each time I refill. The GU bottle pocket is a good choice for holding cell phones or GU packets and the zipper pocket can hold a key or other flat stuff. Tightening the draw cords also seems to help the bounce a little. I prefer this over the camelback waist pack that I have.

Comments about RRS Elite 1 Plus Hydration Pak:

Just OK. It is hard for me to get a tight enough fit to avoid bouncing - works OK with the bottle half full at the start of my run. I have to work really hard to get it snug and then it still seems bouncy and heavy on my back. Nice to have water along without having to carry it though.

Comments about RRS Elite 1 Plus Hydration Pak:

I love my running pack. I am training for a 1/2 marathon and run my neighborhood-- and it is perfect. It has a place for my gels, my face rag, regular water in the lager bottle and recovery formula in the small bottle. It's easy to get to while I run and I can open and close the bottles with my teeth. I don't think it is aquard at all. Great running belt.

Comments about RRS Elite 1 Plus Hydration Pak:

Not for the minimalist. Depends what you are looking for. I haven't tried the smaller storage bottle. Don't really believe GU will pour out easier from it than from the original package itself. I felt the bottle nozzle is a bit harder to open (and if left open with a full bottle - you'll spurt some out), but once open does feel good/flows well. As a whole, it takes getting used to. I don't like the clip and wish I could remove it. It can be hard to reseat with only one hand (depends where you are in your run! but I suppose practice makes perfect) and it fits better if tight around the hips. You gotta cinch it! I just noticed a newer (&smaller) model in the latest catalog. Looks like an update to a previous year (with 1 star ratings! Yikes! Hope they did more than change the color). The good thing with RRS is, if you don't like - you can always return. Happy running

Seems to be well made. As long as belt is pulled tight the bottle doesn't slide around your waist or bounce. The bottle doesn't leak and it stays in the holder while running. I thought it might be ackward reseating the bottle, given you have to reach behind your back but it actually works well and stays in place. I recommend it.

Comments about RRS Elite 1 Plus Hydration Pak:

I just got this and ran 14 miles on Sunday - I love it! I have gone thru so many water bottles and this is the only one that does not bother me while running. I also own last years model- my husband took it from me because he like it so well. So, this is the second one of these that I have purchased from RRS. I have never found this design anywhere else - keep up the good work!
