Great insoles

5

I bought a pair of these because it was time to replace the insoles I had been wearing. I was a little apprehensive when I found out that they no longer made the previous stability insoles I had. I bought one pair of these and when I tried them out I could instantly tell a huge difference. They have a lot more rebound with each stride than the previous insoles. I really was amazed at the difference they made. I am a 55 year old, average size man and I live and run at about 7300 Ft altitude. Little things like this make a huge difference. I have already bought a second pair and am considering buying several more.

Excellent Product

5

This insole provides great stability while still allowing a natural running motion. It's also especially good for lightweight runners. Most similar products are much thicker, and, because I'm lightweight, I sink into them and get no rebound. This insole is just the right thickness--plenty of support and cushioning, while still very responsive. My one small gripe is that the cushioning where the plastic meets the foam can degrade a little too soon requiring replacement. But this product otherwise is so great that I'll pay to replace it at that frequency.

Comfortable!

5

I have never felt shoes to be this comfortable! Sounds really silly because I have been running my whole life, intensely and casually, but I never realized that I needed extra stability support. Have always bought stability shoes, but never thought to use extra stability insoles and nobody ever really recommended them to me. These insoles correct my over-pronation and provide cushioning. Wow, I might just stop wearing heels and stick to these forever!

Wish high-heels had cushioning like this

RSS Stability Insoles - Great

4

Inquired to RRS regarding an Achilles tendon issue. Rep suggested these insoles. They work and feel great. Not a substitute for stretching and strengthening; nor a substitute for a visit to the doctor's office to get checked out. However, after discussing with my doc, gave them a try and along with the aforementioned stretching and strengthening, they give me added relief.

Amazing Insoles

5

I have tried many insoles before and spent much money even on full orthotics but have never been completely satisfied. I knew what I needed but was never able to find the right product. Some have been too heavy, some don't fit well in the shoe, and I have even tried some with arches that don't match up with mine. These are perfect, supportive yet comfortable with the right amount of durable cushion.

Good Bargain

4

I purchased these insoles because my running shoes did not provide enough stability and support during my runs. The insoles have held up well during long runs, and are comfortable and easy to use. I have also use these insoles on my work shoes with good results. These insoles work well at supporting my low arches and large frame. I would recommend these insoles for anyone needing extra support for their footwear.

Good Stability Insoles

4

These are good insoles. I have flat feet and these provide needed support. They are much better than the 3/4 insoles I've used for years; worth the additional expense. I gave it 4 stars because the sizing isn't as precise as I would have hoped. I wear eleven shoes and these insoles are a little too long. It can easily be fixed by trimming the front of the insole.

Great feel, but move around

4

the support is great and really has stoped my fasciitis that I was having after most of my runs. The only problem is that the forefoot and toe area don't have much stiffness so the insert rides up toward the toe slightly as I run. I only notice it after i take off the shoes. It really doesn't effect me any during the run.

Great insoles

5

These are a great update to the insoles that I was previously using. While I liked them, these seem to have a lot more spring built into them. Being rather flat footed, they also don't have an intrusive arch the causes me discomfort. I just bought my third pair.

A good buy!

4

Easy to take old insole out and replace with these insoles. I have 3 sneakers in rotation. These insoles make even my oldest sneaker feel new and energized. My only reason for the 4 star rating is that I don't have them long enough to know if they are durable.

If you run in the Stable ...

1

If you run in the Stable Runner 111 and were told that these insoles are taking there place, then you are going to be really disappointed. Do not buy these. They are nothing like the Stable Runner. These are more like a orthotic device, but not even really good for that. They do not have a deep enough heel cup to stabilize the foot. Your foot supinates because of this. The super feet are better as a orthotic insert. The original Stable Runner insert had just enough arch, a deep heel cup and a soft spot under the heel and under the forefoot. They were not cushioned. They were perfect if you just needed a little bit of stability. Another problem with the new RRS Stability is they are short. If you were an 8.5 shoe the size B will be too short for your shoe. I am really disappointed and now have to find an insert elsewhere.

Best of all

5

I'm 60 years old over weight have diabetes numerous other health problems and needed to change my life style immediately. I had Plantar Fasciitis, flat feet and over pronation. I tried insoles from numerous other sources. I tried all of them for 2 months each and still had foot and leg pain. Foot experts at Road Runner Sports recommended Road Runner Sports Stabilty Insoles. I almost said forget it I was so tired of buying and getting lousy results. However, I went ahead and a few days later I received them. I took them out of the box and said to myself no way were these going to work. In the last week of wearing these insoles I have no more foot or leg pain! I couldn't believe that from the very first day these solved my pain. I walk 7 1/2 miles a day on a treadmill. In the last week I have been able for the first time in over a year to increase my incline and speed. I increased my work out by 50%. Enough said - get these insoles and it will be the happiest day of your foot and leg pains life.

Make a good shoe great

5

These insoles are great. They might even be more important than the shoes I put them in. I'm a flat footed overpronator. Rather than go with a bulky motion control shoe I go with a stability shoe (Saucony Hurricane)and this support insole. These things are extremely durable. I left them in my shoes for a year, probably close to a thousand miles, and they are still fully in tact and useable. I'm not sure their effectiveness has even diminished but I replaced them when I got new shoes. I could see them possibly tearing if you roughly remove them and insert them into different shoes all of the time but if you are careful they should be fine and if you leave them in the shoe they will probably outlast the shoe they are in. At first they felt a little funny...not uncomfortable, just strange. I got used to them quickly and absolutely must have them in my running shoes now. I've flirted with shoes other than the Hurricane's and I've found that many others were completely useless without these insoles. In short, they made a bad shoe better for my feet and make the Hurricane's...a good shoe already that much better.

"For average arches"

3

I have average arches and the performance insoles that were recommeded to me by two different road runner experts were a terrible feel, both were returned (RRU1059&1061) but these, the RRU1062 recommended by another roadrunner expert are a good feel but not as good as the Cushrunners that were previously available.

Fantastic product

5

Like a lot of the other reviewers on this site I have tried virtually every type of insole known to man including very expensive custom orthotics to relieve foot pain and knee pain that prevented me from exercising comfortably. This is easily the best product of its kind for me. I have medium arches and I overpronate, causing significant arch pain during exercise. When I wear these in my exercise shoes, the pain is almost gone. These have support in just the right place for my foot type and have a fantastic cushioning layer on top. They are also very durable. My older pair is about 8 months old and the top layer is peeling from the arch support piece in places. However it is still usable in my hiking shoes. The newer pair is still like-new after a few months of use (in my running shoes which I mainly use on the elliptical or walking). For my moderate overpronation I find these work best with a neutral shoe, and when I have worn them with a stability shoe they overcorrect (make me supinate). A great value product and a must-have for my painful feet!

Surprisingly Effective

4

I have used almost every kind of orthotic available, from custom-made to different off-the-shelf orthotics. So far, these seem superior...for my kind of high arched foot. The only question mark for me will be durability...I've only had them for a week, and only used them for one round of golf, one run, and a lot of wearing around the house. But they WORK...which is the important thing. The area where the hard arch material meets the softer sockliner material seems vulnerable to splitting if you are aggressively putting them into, and taking them out of, shoes. Once I realized this could be an issue, I was more careful when inserting them. I am purchasing extra pairs for my other shoes, so insertion and removal should no longer be a factor. I would hesitate to suggest to RRS that they change the material, as this cushioning feels just right. Overall, I like them.

Great for my low arches!

4

I have been struggling with PTT or Posterior Tibial Tendonitis in one of my feet for awhile now. I have low arches/flat feet and more so in my right foot which I have been having problems with. I decided to try these orthotics. I am glad I did! They have prevented almost all pain on my runs I have used them in so far (5 runs). I use them in GT 2000's and some Nike Lunar Eclipses. No problem in either one. I wear a size 14 and bought the G size. Even though there is a bit of a gap at the front in front of my toes it doesn't matter. It stays put for my heell and that is what is important. I am very hopeful I found a solution! Good product!

I broke these in on ...

5

I broke these in on shorter 4 mile treadmill runs and just ran 7.5 miles on the pavement yesterday and they were awesome! I purchased blue superfeet and returned them because I needed more cushioning. These provided the stability and the cushioning I needed. I'm 5'10", 155lbs, flat footed, and have mild over-pronation. I've had IT band injuries years ago and am very careful when it comes to picking the right shoes/insoles. I have these in my 3rd pair of Saucony Hurricane 7s and I could not be happier.

Making the Transition to Insoles

5

I finely made the transition to insole inserts for GOOD this past year! While after years of running with manufacture "provided" inserts I decide to try something new with the RRS Sports Guide Insole. It was a great decision! The Insole has provide me with a more confident stride and has increased the life of my running shoes as well. I am a 45+ old runner who has reenergize his running. My feet, calfs, knees and hips feel tremendously better after short and long runs, and sprint workouts. I never thought a insole could make such a difference but I am personally looking forward to this running season...and I attribute it to the RRS Sports Guide Insole.

Helps with flat feet

4

I have flat feet and after running for several months in my expensive Nike Flex's, the arch support was completely worn out, leaving me with arch/ankle pain. Rather than replace the whole shoe before I had gotten enough wear out of it, I decided to try these inserts. Unfortunately, these did not fit in my Nike's, but they did fit in my New Balance 780 V4's, which were a little too flat for me to run in. In my NB's, they feel great! I have a supportive, cushioned, almost spring-like running shoe! I would definitely buy these again, but I will also be more careful selecting running shoes in the future since I know these insoles won't fit in them all.

SF Gear

5

The first pair of insoles I bought had a graphite arch and unparalleled impact absorption, that was in 2000. I was attending Special Forces selection and constantly had 90+ lbs on my back walking for miles on end and running the same. I had them in my boots and running shoes. I spent the next 15 years in SF and never had another insole but these. After 24+ years in the military, I have absolutely no knee, hip, or back problems! Even though I'm retired now, I still enjoy jogging and competing in Spartan races. Never trusted another insole. Thanks Road Runner Sports.

Better than my orthopedic insoles

I have used custom made orthopedic insoles costing hundreds of dollars and I think these are more comfortable, stronger and do the job better.

Like Little Clouds

5

I recently suffered a tibia stress fracture that may have been related to my very unsupportive turf shoes that I wore for refereeing a soccer tournament. Now recovered, I purchased new turf shoes that were big enough to fit an insole and purchased these to help support my pronation. After 3 games in my shoes with my RRS Stability Insoles my legs DID NOT HURT AT ALL and my feet felt like they were walking on little clouds. I'm thinking about switching to a neutral running shoe and using the insoles!!

My Running Requirement

4

These insoles are a requirement for all my running shoes, whether minimal or thicker soled shoes. I even use them in my lace up casual shoes. My arches are typical but I find that I require a supportive arch to prevent plantar fasciitis. The great thing about these soles is the great price. They last around a year with moderate use (as wearing them weekly) and around 6 months in my running shoes. My only complaint would be their tendency to squeak sometimes. Annoying, but I can I live with it

Like them

5

I run 25-35 miles a week. I pronate and have been having trouble with my knees. When you put them in your shoe, you can feel the support. I have an average arch and these are comfortable. My girlfriend used the Superfeet and has had a lot of pain in schin and feet. You also have to gradually wear Superfeet, increasing time you wear them each day but with the RRS insoles you just put them in and go.

Great insole!

4

Running 30 - 40 miles a week and searching for the perfect shoe-feel now that my go to running shoe underwent a change. Have settled on the Saucony Guide, but they felt hard, almost like running in bricks. Put these insoles in and noticed immediate improvement in responsiveness and comfort of the shoe, without degrading their inherent motion control. Really glad I tried these out!

I didn't get the above insoles

5

I didn't get the above insoles. Very frustrated with the clerk in the store. I have had these insoles in the past and loved them. Went to store to get new pair. I got such a run around from the store clerk that she was "very busy" and that she needed to "heat up" the machine. She never came back to me. I finally left after waiting for her and the machine after 25 minutes.

Better for running than my custom insole

5

Recently injured my left posterior tendon resulting in s fallen arch on that side. After a couple months of PT amm gradually gwtting back to running my normal 30-40 miles per week. Have custom orthotics but these were not providing the arch support I needed for running. These are great, it's fun to run down hill again. Thinking of using them instead of the customs in my hiking boots.
