Don't be misled. The reviews below are NOT for the sock pictured! The glowing reviews are for a far SUPERIOR sock that RRS has foolishly DISCONTINUED. The reviews below are for discontinued sock #RRU1038 that was wonderful, NOT for the sock pictured.
I bought the previous style RRU1038 in Spring 2011 and- like the other reviewers here- I loved them. HOWEVER, since the Spring of 2011 RRS completely changed the design. This new version is VERY UNCOMFORTABLE.
There is too much fabric by the toes. The fabric on the bottom is so ridiculously thick it requires larger shoes. And the fabric at the top of the ankle is a nuissance. RRS PLEASE BRING BACK THE PREVIOUS VERSION RRU1038.CLEARLY RRU1038 SOCKS ARE THE DESIGN YOUR CUSTOMERS LOVE.
NOT this new version RRU1102 which noone has even reviewed.

These are the best socks. I am training for the 3-day 60 mile walk and was worried about getting blisters. these are perfect. they stay put, no slipping and I have yet to get a blister.

These are great socks. They always stay in place and I've never experienced any blisters while wearing them. I was a little concerned that they might be too big because my size 11 is the start of the xl size. But they fit fine and I never have any problems.

I was looking for a sock that would match the quality of my old Thorlo socks. I need the thicker socks, but breathable, to prevent blisters when running. So far, I am very happy with these and like them better than my Thorlo socks. They fit well, breath, and no blisters!

I use these socks in the gym and while running. I originally thought they'd feel big and bulky on my feet due to them having that feel when I picked them up. Couldn't be more wrong. They're incredibly soft, left my feet completely dry, and are the only socks I'll purchase from now on!

As a second time Marathon runner, I was having a problem with my feet. My feet's bottom were hurting when running, I knew it wasn't my shoes. I went to road runner's and they recommended this socks and amazingly my problem was gone. I like the cushioning they provide, I just wish they have a little bit of compression too.

Great socks! I have worn the same brand socks to all of my races for many years. Whatever race I ran whether it was a 5k to a Half Marathon, I would always end up with blisters. A Road Runner associate recommended this RR brand. I was skeptical, but thought i would give it a try. I just ran 26.2 miles in these socks and not one blister! I'm sticking with these now! Thanks! :)

Bought these originally for the gym but they have now turned into my every day socks for the office too. They are comfortable and not has hot as cotton socks it seems.

Finally found a great pair of socks that maintain true even after many washes. They fit just like the first time I wore them after many washes. Very durable as well I have yet to seen any holes on them.

I tried these socks when I had my custom insoles made at the store and I could immediately feel the difference in quality of fabric compared to my plain thin ankle socks. These socks are great at absorbing mositure and keeps my feet dry. I love them! Game changer for sure.

The first thing I bought from Roadrunner back in 2004 were their socks. I STILL have those original three pairs. I have bought many other vendors since. In 2013 I went bought these three pairs for myself. I have since bought six pairs for my wife and other six pairs for myself. NOTHING fits as well, and I mean in the shoe and even barefoot. I use them for road and trail running, for bicycling (have done two grand fondos in them already), mountain biking, and even every day casual use. I can't stress enough what fantastic products they are. Worth every penny!
