I wore these after a 16 mile training run on Saturday, and they felt really good. My calves & feet felt wrapped in warm support. Toward the end of the day (after > 10 hours of wear), they did get a little too warm, but I was ready to take them off anyway. I only wish I could have found the same level of support for my quads & hamstrings!

I purchased these to try compression socks for the first time, and I'm impressed.

A few details about me: 28, male, distance runner, 5'11", 155 lbs.

I got these to help with the fact that I often have to sit for long periods of time at work, and following a long run, or a race, that's not a pleasant thing at the office. They fit true to size (I got a medium, and I wear a 10.5 size shoe). and aren't so compressing that you notice it all day, but like any long sock, you will have to spend some time pulling them up every so often.

PROS: they fit; they're not obnoxious so everyone notices that you're wearing compression socks; they're soft; they handle washings well.

CONS: I found the mediums to be a hair long for my taste. They come up to the mid part of my knee, which isn't a good place for them, so I have to fold them over. Largely that's a minor flaw that doesn't overwhelm the benefit of the sock.

USES: I can see myself using these following a long run, during a long training run, or for the latter part of an ultra race. Also, if you're forced to be seated for a long period of time, they're a godsend. Consider them for road trips, airline travel, and things of that nature where you know you won't be getting up often. Be forewarned, they are not terribly thick, so using them as a means of staying warm, exclusively, is not something I'd find much utility in.

Overall, they're great, and I'd recommend them!

I bought these for post running and for wearing while doing longer runs, but have found myself wearing them to work due to the ciculation assistance they provide. Sometimes I have to sit a lot and I want to make sure the ciculation is good. I am buying more of these so I can have a few pairs on hand.

I bought two pairs of these as I needed some compression to wear on a daily basis and didn't want to spend $40-50 per pair. These felt great and were very comfortable BUT after only two wears they developed a hole in the toe. RRS took them back no problem, but now I am back to finding affordable everday compression socks!

I wore mine on a hilly trail half marathon race, and they held up just as well as brands twice the price - I thought they might slip (as other brands have done) during the race, but they did not.
Yes, they're less expensive and not medical grade that other brands advertise but for an entry level compression they worked really well.

bought these for my husband who normally uses the CW-X or Zensah brands, but as I have had great results from other Road Runner grear, I thought these socks would be up to the same standards. Nope. Spend the money on the better made socks! These did not make it through even one use before the treads tore creating three separate holes.
