I bought these gloves before a half marathon in Feburary. The day was 17 degrees and felt like 7 degrees. Usually my fingers are ice cubes, but they were warm the whole race. Glad I had them!

I run outside in the winter in Maine and the wind kicks up here to 15-20mph. These gloves do the trick! My fingers were a tad cold at times and had to curl them in my palms. These WORK and are not so thick that you cannot use your fingers. Only gets 4 stars because I could not use my cell phone in these gloves as advertised.

If there's a bite in the air, these gloves quickly warm up your fingers and hand. What I love most is the ability to operate my smart phone without glove removal. Gloves are the perfect thickness and very smart looking too. Love Love Love my R-Gear Gloves!

Good for very cold temps. Kept my hands comfortable on 3-mile run at minus 5 F. A bit too warm for temperatures above 20 F.

I had an upcoming marathon in December and my old gloves were worn out. So I went in to RR and tried these gloves once before my race. I was not disappointed! I went back and bought another pair. They are the best. I wear gloves well into the warmer months as my hands are always cold. I run before the sun rises and my hands are always comfortable now!

Great gloves and super comfortable. The gloves would have received 4 stars but I have really small hands and these were just a tad to big. They would be perfect if they were a little smaller.

These gloves are simple,lightweight, breathable, warm and easy to take on and off. I just ran the manhattan half mararathon in 32 degree weather and was able to wear the gloves half the race. I always remove gloves as I get into the race since I don't need them after a certain point. When I put the gloves back on after the race they were only a tiny bit damp and still kept my hands warm. I'm actually going to wear them right now.

I purchased these gloves to block the wind during my morning bike commute to work (2 miles). Even at that short of a distance in mild 35-40 degree weather my finger tips were cold. It appears that the wind breaker material is only on the top portion of the glove(back of hand) and not the palm; nor is any of the material on the finger tips.

The fabric on the tip of the thumbs and index fingers that allow swiping on a smart phone is a nice feature however the glove is not snug enough to make it worthwhile. I remove my glove If I want to use my phone.

These are a nice pair of winter gloves but I would not recommend them if you are specifically looking for a pair that will block the wind.

I have been using these gloves for a couple of weeks when it has been in the lower 30's for my early morning runs. I have had several pairs of thinner RRS gloves that were OK but which have not held up very well to weekly washings. These are both more substantial and warmer and I think that they will be keepers.
