Comments about Mens Saucony PowerGrid Triumph 9 Running Shoe:

CONS- price and color(white/royal) more white than I thought "remember the shoe will build up a lot of dirt and dust" RRS does not have available the pale gray/orange model.
PROS- {roamy toe area}sauc/fit good "could be better", excellent firm cushioning and the 8mm drop is better for my body{ knees, feet, etc}. My last shoes were Nimbus, Glycerin are cool, but too soft for me. The Triumph firmer cushion works better for my gait. !excellent shoe! buy it!

Comments about Mens Saucony PowerGrid Triumph 9 Running Shoe:

Very pleased with these shoes. Just got into running about 6 months ago and found out that I need arch support. These shoes don't offer much but with an added insert I've been extremely pleased. No reason to take away stars although I'm sure there could be better shoes out there. I'll be sticking with these as much as I can!

I am 6 ft 177 lbs (10 lbs over my ideal weight). I was out for running for quite a while due to injury. When I got back in to it, my feet and legs hurt. I tried these shoes for the cushioning and they relieved all the pain I was having. I did add the cushioning insoles from RoadRunner sports, but the shoes were good without them.

Comments about Mens Saucony PowerGrid Triumph 9 Running Shoe:

Apparently a lot of people don't like this shoe. I love it. It is cushioned and really comfortable with a nice toe box. I use it for running workouts on an indoor track daily, about 4 miles a day, and also as a walking shoe. I have had three pairs and when it went Endangered I bought two more pairs to have in reserve. I put about 500 miles on a pair of shoes and have had no problems with this shoe.

Comments about Mens Saucony PowerGrid Triumph 9 Running Shoe:

I have a high arch and run 50 to 60 miles a week. I have been running in Saucony Ride's for several years and love them. I thought since I had increased my running that I should look at a Neutral Plus shoe and I choose the Triumph based on reviews.

While the Triumph's were very comfortable to run in I didn't enjoy the lack of feel of the road. The added padding in the fore foot made it too mushy and I didn't feel I had total control of the shoe.

I returned these after a week and bought 2 more pairs of Ride's. Road Runner Sports was fantastic to work with!!!

I don't think the Triumph's are a bad shoe, just not right for me.

                Service and delivery comments:

Road Runner Sports is outstanding. This is the reason I keep coming back to buy shoes here!

Comments about Mens Saucony PowerGrid Triumph 9 Running Shoe:

I bought these on a whim after years of running in Nike Pegasus, most recently the Pegasus 29. After my first week of running in the Triumph 9s, I'm pleasantly surprised. They fit well, feel light, and provide ample cushion. The trade-off seems to be that they are not as flexible as I would like, but I don't mind that aspect - it doesn't significantly affect my outings, which range from 10 to 25 km. These shoes seem to be a good buy thus far, especially for the sale/VIP price I paid for them.

Loved the lower heel and the cushioning was great. The problem is that they gave me blisters on the top of each arch. I found the padding in the tongue to be to thin also. I sent them back.

the problem is not that saucony lowered their heel height in the shoes, its that they kept the forefoot too high and made it too squishy. When you are landing more on the mid/forefoot (i am a true forefoot runner and have been for 20 years) when the platform you push off of is not firm enough, it creates instability when you land. Even if you are not a pronator or if the shoe "adds stability" that squishy forefoot will destabilize your landing. I have worn saucony all my life and since they discontinued the azura, original hurricane, tangent, revamped the fastwitch and made all their shoes on that horrible kinvara platform, I cannot wear any of their shoes. What a shame. For those of you experiencing problems with the new lowered heel, it really isn't that. Its the goosh and the too beefy forefoot.

Have worn Asics for a long time, but was having Achilles pain, so I switched to Saucony. No more Achilles pain, but my legs immediately started cramping...something I never had experienced. Tried a better insole, but still pain, except trail running. I suspect that in an effort to improve stability, they forgot that some people don't need it.

Comments about Mens Saucony PowerGrid Triumph 9 Running Shoe:

I run 6 mi. most every day in Michigan year round on gravel roads. I've been a runner for 33 years and almost exclusively in Saucony. I have ran in every generation of Triumph's prier to the nines. I have seen other runners comment about the heel drop not working for heal strikers, This is true for me. Most of the things I love about Saucony shoes are there, The fit, Ride, Breathability, don't outweigh the negatives. The lower heel hight plus the inside fabric in the heel wearing through within 300 mi. on both the eight's and the nines force a low score. I wish Saucony was not so quick to lower the heel in their entire lineup, Not everybody is training for a marathon. I'm just a blue collar runner putting my miles to stay healthy and sane. Saucony's direction and durability are a real concern for me.

Ran with Nimbus through 3 pairs b/c they helped with the shin splints. I am now Training for a marathon so decided to move my strike to a midfoot. As soon as this happened, Plantar developed with the Nimbus. Looking for a shoe that helps the heel to toe transition better and found it. Loving these bigtime!! Also has a big toe box which helps. Here's hoping to consistent longevity.

I really wanted to love this shoe. It fit great. Has a ton of stability and cushion in the forefoot. However, it caused great pain in my right knee and some left foot plantar issue. I have been running in Kinvara's for two years and wanted to try a shoe with a little more cushion and stability. I am a life long mid-foot striker and I have run several marathons and an ironman in Kinvaras. I am 205lbs. The major problem I had with the Triumphs is that it feels like the forefoot is higher than the heel which I believe caused my knee pain. It was like I was running up hill, or landing before I was supposed to. (If that makes sense). I ran several runs for a total of 50 miles in the Triumphs. In my opinion if you can get past the forefoot issue this is a comfortable, stable and cushioned shoe great for long distance training. This shoe is just not for me. I did send these back and got the Cortana. See my review on that. SAFE RUNNING

Liked the shoe at first. Feels great but over time I am developing blisters on both heels during longer runs. I have tried every different tying possibilty/laces, socks and lubricants without success. The only thing I can assume is that the lower heel drop is not good for narrow heel and is causing the problem. I had no such problem with previous model.

I loved the forefoot and midfoot cushioning. I found the 8mm drop was not condusive to my performance experience. I mildly overpronate and the fit seemed to work against me. Additionally I found the shoe to be inflexible. A couple of ten mile runs and I've experienced discomfort each time. 5'5", 170. I previously ran in the Ghost 4's. Overall this wasn't a good fit for me.

Changed from the Vomero 5. Last time I wore Triumphs were the 4's. Originally I wanted the Nimbus 13, so I tried both on at the store...VERY noticeable difference. The Nimbus felt really clunky whereas the Triumph felt lighter and better fit. Not sure if it will hold up as well as my tried and true Vomero's, but excited to find out.
