Comfortable shoe

I tried these shoes on in the store and was surprised by the comfort. They have a very light and airy feel to them, which helps in the hot summer months. The Cortana 2s feel extremely durable when running. I expect to have these shoes for a long time.

    I have been an Asics runner for 6 years. The Gel-Nimbus 14s were just not right and I was needing an alternate asap for marathon training. I decided to go from a Neutral Plus Nimbus to a Neutral Cortana 2. I was concerned with the heel drop difference (13mm on Nimbus v. 4mm on Cortana 2). I had my gait analyzed and because I have no heel strike and no pronation, this shoe has been perfect. I've put over 100 miles on it in 3 weeks without a single issue. It's light and comfortable handling high miles perfectly for me.

    I am coming back from two tibial stress fractures and need a nuetral shoe with good cushioning from impact. So far, the cortanas are great for me, as they supply ample cushioning and still manage to have a low profile. The shoe is heavier than the shoes I am used to wearing(Kinvara, Connect) but not "clunky". They have a great ground connection and the toe box area is perfect. Not too large, and adding plenty of support across the navicular.
