    Great shoe

    By Jenny

Comments about Womens Saucony ProGrid Guide 6 Running Shoe:

I was experiencing some pain in my shins from my last pair of stability shoes so I decided to try out the Saucony ProGrid Guide 6. This is apparently a new update that just came out. I have never tried previous versions but found this to be a great stability shoe. I have not had any shin pain with these shoes. My foot feels secure, with no movement. I may be a Saucony convert!

Comments about Womens Saucony ProGrid Guide 6 Running Shoe:

I used these shoes for half marathon training. I slightly over-pronate (inward on my strike before rolling slightly outward to the heel). I have a high arch and short toes. This is my second pair of guide 6. Had been a long time Nike girl for the high arch prior to that and have liked the switch to Saucony in general.
The first pair of guide 6's I bought was black with pink. Great shoe, ran fast and felt good. As a bonus, I was really excited to have a cool looking pair of running shoes that I'd actually wear with jeans on casual work days. The toe started to come through the mesh on top and wore out a little sooner than expected, but was overall relatively durable.

Anything 6 miles or longer in this white shoe, I blister on the insides of foot near the toe. (Yes I wear running socks and even Two toms blister powder). This did not happen in the same model, different color. The blisters are't generally painful so I continue to wear the shoe.

I love a great closeout price, but these shoes aren't worth getting another pair in the same "hospital" white in my opinion. (I often buy multiple of the same model when satisfied). The blister issue is worth me looking into a new model, but I will admit the idea of having a chance at less bleh looking shoes is motivation enough to log some more miles so that I can retire this pair.

I use this pair every single day at work, gym and just out and about. They are very comfortable and I have had them since May 2013. The only complaint that I have is that I can't buy another pair due to low inventory. I had a lot of pain in my feet before I found these shoes and I have not had any issues since I started wearing them.

I am a life long Saucony fan but am disappointed with the heel cushion in these shoes. I have only had them 3 months but they already feel like the heels have broken down and I am having related heel pain post runs. Keep in mind I also run at least half my run on the beach so less stress than total pavement running. I am having to look for new shoes. Most likely Sauconys, I'll allow one mistake.

I ran 1/2 marathons and put a lot of training miles on my running shoes. I like Saucony ProGrids because they are lightweight, offer good arch support and they have stability for my pronation issues. The shoe is not stiff so I'm able to take off for a run as soon as they arrive at my doorstep!

I am a midfoot runner and I have been running in minimalist shoes but haven't found any that fit my narrow heels- except for Nike Free, which don't have any stability. My heels don't slip out of the Progrid 6 and they are very comfortable. These shoes are great for long runs on the road or trail. For tempo runs or on the treadmill I prefer my minimalist shoes.

Comments about Womens Saucony ProGrid Guide 6 Running Shoe:

I ran in Adidas Supernova Classics for years. When the shoe was discontinued, I searched for two years to find a shoe that worked for me. The Saucony ProGrid Guide 6 is the shoe. Although sizes run small (you will need a half size larger than what you normally take), the toe box is wide, which is what I needed because of a wide toe spread. I usually run or walk 30+ miles a week on road and treadmill surfaces, with one of the days a 15 - 20 mile long run. So far the ProGrid Guide 6 has provided stability and cushioning. I get about 350 - 400 running miles out of each pair.

Comments about Womens Saucony ProGrid Guide 6 Running Shoe:

I run an avg of 20 miles per week. Sometimes more. Sometimes less. I'm also a larger sized woman. Because of that, I have a tendency to break down my running shoes faster than slimmer women. I used to always use RRS insoles in my running shoes because I felt as if I needed them. With this shoe, I DON'T need them! They seem to have more forefoot cushioning than other shoes I've had in the past (other brands). These are, now, my new go-to running shoe. LOVE them.

Great Shoes! I am switching from trail to pavement due to the loss of sunlight in the evenings. I am finding that these are great shoes for the job! I was worried about them being too hot but I have found that they are great during the 80-90 degree days and I am hoping them will be good for winter as well!

Comments about Womens Saucony ProGrid Guide 6 Running Shoe:

I've been searching for the right running shoe so I can return to running after a several year hiatus due to pain from bunions. The challenge is that I have a narrow foot that is quite broad across the front because of my bunions. I've run successfully in Pro Grid Guides several years ago (before foot problems) and read current reviews that recommended the Saucony line for those needing a more generous toe box. So I ordered the ProGrid Guide in both wide and medium widths. The wide is really wide all-over. So much so that it felt quite sloppy and loose on my foot even when I had cinched the laces snuggly. The medium width doesn't quite give me the room in the toe box needed to avoid pressure against the nobby bunion. So too wide where I don't want it to be and not wide enough where I really need it to be. After consulting with a RRS fit expert I have ordered the Mizuno Wave Inspire in both wide and medium widths because they are narrower across the arch/mid-foot.

Comments about Womens Saucony ProGrid Guide 6 Running Shoe:

I've been running in Saucony Rides for about 6 years. Love them - a non-issue shoe. Thought I would try out the Guide because the price was a little lower, I loved the color and it didn't sound like there was much of a difference between the two. In one run, I felt very stable - but that I had NO cushion. My quads and knees felt like I was running really hard on pavement barefoot. Made the run really unpleasant. It seems for me I really need the cushion all the way through the shoe and not concentrated on the heel. If you have a mid-foot stride (is that what it's called?) stick with the Ride, or whatever shoe gives you the cushioning you need. It was a 2 star for me, but I gave it three, because if you are a heel striker, this is probably a great shoe. I will say that at the end of my run, my knees and hips did not hurt as much as they usually do. I credit the stability of the shoe for that.

I use these shoes primarily indoors on the treadmill because I didn't want to get them dirty. They give me good support and feel great. I use them with the FootBalance custom insole. I would buy this pair again.

Light and fast. I usually wear 8.5 in running shoes and I bought 9 in this because I felt them small when I tried 8.5 on. However, I believe I will exchange them back to 8.5, I feel them quite lose around the ankle.

Saucony delivers as promised. These shoes are awesome! I have a high arch and have had problems with plantar fasciitis so I wear inserts.
My feet started to hurt as my older shoes lost support. When I put these on for the first time, my feet said AHHHHH!
                                              No break in necessary...thank you

The shoe gives great support (especially with the custom made insert) and helps reduce the pain in my arch.

I finally replaced my Saucony Omni 5s. But the Pro Grid is way narrower in the toe box, my heel slipped and the tongue was too short or something because it rubbed badly. I wore these around the house for a couple of days with different socks, but I had to send them back. I loved my previous Sauconys, but I might not be back for more.

I have been researching shoes for awhile: Stability shoe, rookie runner, high arch with knee problems the occasional shin splits. I finally narrowed my choices down to the Asic's Kayano 19 and the Saucony Guide 6. I wanted the Asic's cause let's face it, their design is pretty neat. But I went with my gut and got the more comfortable ones. I was bummed cause I didn't like the design as much. Woke up the next morning for my first run (previous shoe was the Nike Free Runs 5.0) and I fell in love! I have so much support, my knees don't hurt at all, the impact was perfect. I highly recommend them! Even an employee says they are great unless you run as much as she does - she runs approx 70 miles PER WEEK. I think the shoe fits my needs perfectly!

I wear these shoes all the time now. Prior to buying them, I was experiencing knee pain and had cut way back on my walking regime. These shoes made all the difference and I am back to walking my usual amount again. I am a very happy camper!

Love this running shoe...I am an under pronater and I run recreationally 10=13 miles per week. This shoes felt great from the first run. Will buy another pair for sure.
