Comments about Mens Saucony Kinvara 4 Running Shoe: I used this for one of my cross country trainers and it was fantastic. Best for a more natural running form.

Comments about Mens Saucony Kinvara 4 Running Shoe: Great performance neutral running shoe. A big improvement from the Kinvara 3. I have been running in Kinvara's for years and have been very pleased with the 4. I can easily get 400+ miles out of a pair without any decrease in performance or support.

Comments about Mens Saucony Kinvara 4 Running Shoe: These shoes were my first performance neutral purchase and they seem to be working out well so far. I have only used them for a handful of shorter runs (5k) mostly on my local high school track. I have very picky feet and a sensitive back. I can usually tell by the quick onset of lower back pain if shoes are not going to work for me. No pain so far with these. They are very light compared to my Mizuno Wave Rider 16 and feel like socks compared to my ASICS Gel Nimbus 15. I was afraid these would not provide enough cushion, as I do carry about 20 lbs extra weight, but so far they seem to work quite well. I typically run 5-10k each time out. I'm not sure how well my feet will tolerate longer runs with these but on the shorter runs, they're great.

Comments about Mens Saucony Kinvara 4 Running Shoe: This is an amazing shoe! Saucony really improved the fit for the kinvara 4! The previous versions had a little narrower toe box, so the slightly wider toe box makes it feel like it fits better. I don't run crazy long distances and I'm not really fast but I run about 25 miles per week or more if my schedule allows. This shoe makes each mile better; it's super-light, minimalistic but durable, and has a great FEEL to it (it's not flimsy and not marshmallow-y!

Comments about Mens Saucony Kinvara 4 Running Shoe: I have never gotten blisters this bad with another shoe. I've worn Adidas for years, but decided to switch things up and try the Kinvara 4. They worked well for runs under ~7 miles on pavement, but when I ran farther or off road, they chewed up my feet every time. The sole is also so thin that if you step on a stone or piece of gravel anywhere but the raised pads on the sole, it's almost enough to drop you mid-stride.

Comments about Mens Saucony Kinvara 4 Running Shoe: The reason I didn't rate the 5-star is because I have only used the shoes twice in the gym. So far the shoe has been great. When I first ordered this shoe, I ordered a half size bigger based on reviews and the sizes of my other shoes. I am trying to transition to a lower heel drop (from a 10mm) and realized when I got these shoes that my 11.5 shoes (10mm drop) have more cushion in them and fit a little more snug. But when I wore the Kinvara 4 that has much less cushion around the foot, I had to ship them back for the 11.5 size (making it true to size). The 11.5's are great! I like the shoes so far and look forward to wearing them more.

Comments about Mens Saucony Kinvara 4 Running Shoe: I'm on my 4th pair of Kinavara's since 2010. I've tried other shoes but keeping coming back to the Kinavara. I've had each of the 4 generations of the shoe and Sauncony has it just about right with the latest version 4. The uppers in the early versions wore out too early. The treads still wear a little too quickly but then again they are probably not built for full marathons. I've ran NYC and Chicago in Kinavara and plan to do Boston 2014. If you like a light, fast and comfortable shoe with mimimal support and heel height, you should try the Kinavara.

Comments about Mens Saucony Kinvara 4 Running Shoe: I switched ot Nutral shoes a few months ago. Firt a pair of Cortanas, but then I decided to try Kinvaras for someting a little lighter and minimal. I intended to use them for long coruse racing (Ironmans), but they've become my go to shoes for my medium (sometimes tempo) and long runs and now I only use the Cortanas for the treadmill and shorter recovery runs. They do seem ot wear fairly quick. I have 105 miles on them in the last 3-1/2 weeks and tey are probably 1/4 to 1/3 worn on the outsole. I can live with 400-500 miles life. IT doesn't seem any worse than my Cortans. But my previous heavily padded, thick sole trainers could get 600 miles. Traction is really, really good, however, expecially on wet pavement. Cold weather hasn;t been an issue in them. No blisters at all. Perahps a first in any shoe I've owned. I might try them sockless for shorter tempo runs this spring.

Comments about Mens Saucony Kinvara 4 Running Shoe: I use my kinvara almost every day. I run with it ( 4 x a week, about 15-20 miles a week). I wear them at work which requires a lot of walking and standing for long periods of time. My feet doesn't feel tired after running and after work. I recommend these for runners who wants a light neutral shoes.

Comments about Mens Saucony Kinvara 4 Running Shoe: I use the Kinvaras since Kinvara 2 with an average of 20 Miles a week. This is a vote of confidence that can't be dismissed... There are many similar models in the Saucony line which are hard to distinguish, so I just stay with these proven shoes that already took me, on and off-road, to multiple half Marathons.

Comments about Mens Saucony Kinvara 4 Running Shoe: I have been wearing Kinvara's since the begining. I have the originals, a couple pairs of 2's, three pairs of 3's, and a pair of 4's. I love them and will continue to wear them as long as they stay the same or improve (if they can). I rotate through my shoes, and I still wear my 2's from time to time. I have logged over 500 miles on each pair (except the 4's, not yet)...and I am very happy with them. They are the perfect balance between minimal and still having some cusion and durability. I sometimes run in other branded zero drop shoes and I always return back to the Kinvara's as my go to shoes!

Comments about Mens Saucony Kinvara 4 Running Shoe: Loved the shoes at first. Comfortable, light and good for all around use. After about 3 months, the uppers tore. My son who had the kids version of the 3 tore in the same spots, should have taken that as a hint, mine would do the same.

Comments about Mens Saucony Kinvara 4 Running Shoe: Good road trainer for those of us that spend most of our miles in spikes, flats, minimal shoes, or just barefoot on the infield and have trouble adapting to higher healed trainers for the road .

Comments about Mens Saucony Kinvara 4 Running Shoe: I ran into problems with my Achilles' tendon using the Kinvara 3, so I ended up going back to ASCICS DS Trainer 18 (a great shoe with lots of cushioning and a little more heel lift), but I was still bothered a bit by the tendon problem. After reading more about the Kinvara 4, I decided to try it again, and I am really impressed after several runs. It has great road feel, some very natural cushioning (so you still get the minimalist effect but no harshness in the ride). The key is the transition design. I tried on my old Kinvara 3's again and could really tell the difference and the reason I hurt my tendon in the first place. The Kinvara 4 has a roomy toe box, very nice and snug heel counter, and lacing that makes the shoe snug up consistently on my feet. It also provides a little more pronation control and a tad more heel lift than the older Kinvaras did. But you still get a nice, minimalist ride. So far, my Achilles' tendon is holding up well. I also recommend exercises for reducing pain in the Achilles tendon specified by Egoscue's Pain Free (look it up!).

Comments about Mens Saucony Kinvara 4 Running Shoe: I run about 30-40 miles a week in these. Most runs are between 6 and 10 miles. These are lightweight very comfortable shoes.

Comments about Mens Saucony Kinvara 4 Running Shoe: I've put 50 miles on this shoe and so far, so good. I bought the first Kinvara but soon gave them away due to a tight fit. However this feels like a different shoe. The shoe is comfortable from the toe box to the pads that hold the heel snug. Traction may be suspect; we'll see how they fare in the snow and slush.

Comments about Mens Saucony Kinvara 4 Running Shoe: I have been running marathons for the past ten years. I recently ran from San Francisco to San Diego to raise funds for our foundation. This is the perfect shoe for me to use on my next planned long endurance run ( Seattle to San Diego) it allows me for a more natural foot strike and very comfortable, the only drawback is that it seems not to be a very high mileage shoe.

Comments about Mens Saucony Kinvara 4 Running Shoe: I'm a first-time runner (a transplant from cycling), and these are my first ever running shoes. As a result I have no experience in other shoes to make a comparison. I was fully expecting to have issues with these shoes in one area or another and have to try out a number of shoes to find a pair that I liked, but fortunately that hasn't been the case. They've proven to be light and very comfortable, and I'm finding myself looking forward to my evening run.

Comments about Mens Saucony Kinvara 4 Running Shoe: Love this shoe! I put about 30 miles on them right away - no break-in really needed. I really like minimals & these are SO light & comfortable. These are my first Kinvaras, but I have been a Saucony guy all along. I found a new fave!

Comments about Mens Saucony Kinvara 4 Running Shoe: I use the Kinvara 4 as an everyday training shoe as well as racing shoe logging 35-45 miles per week. I have also run marathons in this shoe with no problems. I really like the compromise between light weight and cushioning. I would definitely recommend it to a fellow runner.

Comments about Mens Saucony Kinvara 4 Running Shoe: I was a faithful Asics runner for over 8 years, that was until the Kinvara 1 came out several years ago. After purchasing, I fell in love with the feel, fit, and look of the shoe. Unfortunately, the shoe had some durability issues as the upper started tearing in less than 50 miles.

Comments about Mens Saucony Kinvara 4 Running Shoe: One of the best shoes I've ever owned. I primarily use them as my gym shoe and don't run outside. But when I hit the indoor track or treadmill to do my sprints and agility training they get the job done. They are a little wide in the toe box so lateral agility drills sometimes suffer but no biggie.

Comments about Mens Saucony Kinvara 4 Running Shoe: Regular runner who is on the bigger side--5'10" 185 lbs. I'm a former football player turned distance runner and log about 30 miles/week. I wear a traditionally neutral shoe with no support and really like these shoes. I'm transitioning from the Mizuno Precisions which are nice, but their hard plastic wave has bothered my calves (heel -toe drop is too big).

Comments about Mens Saucony Kinvara 4 Running Shoe: Wow are these shoes light! The heel wrap feels like retro tennis shoes. I didn't know if I could handle these. I've been running in Asics Gel lites or DS Trainers for 20+ years, but I've been working on a midfoot strike for the last 6+ months. The Kinvara 4 forces you to run with proper forefoot tech or it hurts a bit. I wasn't sure if it was in my head, but after 2 weeks of running in them, I def am running faster (proper tech is a beautiful thing). I don't know how they will hold up to higher mileage but so far I have 84 miles on them and they look great. I hope I can get at least 400 miles or so out of them.

Comments about Mens Saucony Kinvara 4 Running Shoe: Mostly use for short quick training runs, anywhere from speed work on the track to medium tempo runs up to 9 miles. Very comfortable and lightweight. Usually run in asics gel lyte 33, and these are pretty comparable. However the kinvaras in my opinion have a little less cushioning. Overall, these are a great pair of shoes and definitely worth a try if you're looking for a neutral minimal shoe.

Comments about Mens Saucony Kinvara 4 Running Shoe: I loved the Kinvara 3s so I knew I would love the 4s too. The bottom basically feels the same as the 3 although there is a new material in the midsole. Perhaps it lasts longer? The upper is he main difference. It breathes a lot better than the 3 and is more comfortable especially in the heel. My only small peeve is that the forefoot is slippery on wet or slick surfaces. Otherwise you can't go wrong with the Kinvara 4s for your training needs.
