Comments about Womens Saucony Mirage 4 Running Shoe: took me awhile to find these shoes and grateful that I did. Size 9 in street shoes and it's true to size for me with the mirages. I did have to re-lace to allow more room in the toebox, felt more snug but I was used to altras which have huge toeboxes. I use the roadrunner custom insoles with my mirages which allows more arch support yet allows me to run in a more neutral shoe. I really like the minimal heel to toe differential. I really hope they don't change the mirage 4s like they did the kinvaras!

Comments about Womens Saucony Mirage 4 Running Shoe: The Mirage 2s and 3s were great shoes with a low heel drop, a touch of stability, but great flexibility and road feel. The sole of the 2s and 3s wore down quickly so even on just 100 miles/month, a replacement every couple of months was the norm. So Saucony updated version 4 with a more durable sole, this sounded GREAT in theory...in practice it's horrible. The sole is so stiff it changed my stride and even after attempts to "break it in", all I've done is ended up with knee pain.

Comments about Womens Saucony Mirage 4 Running Shoe: This shoe got great reviews and I was ready to be wowed when they arrived. Been on two runs of 6 miles each with them, and I'm seriously considering returning them. Both my ankles hurt during the runs. Whereas I am, usually a pain free runner. Shoe feels too wide for my feet with poor lateral stability. I have run in Sauconys for 12 years. I'm a size 8, but always buy size 9 saucony running shoes to account for feet swelling during distance training. I got these in 9 and all my toes are pressed up against the front of the shoe. So I'm wondering if I should exchange to a size 10??? Or return them altogether. I have been running in Mirage 3 and love them. The Mirage 4 is heavier, less lateral support, runs small, and the bottom sole material is harder, making my movement much louder.

Cons Best Uses Comments about Womens Saucony Mirage 4 Running Shoe: I absolutely love this shoes because they are really light but still provide cushion. They felt a little firm and snug when I tried them on at the store but decided to give them a try. I ran 7 miles with them out of the box and they felt great! they did stretched a little bit which I am happy about. They provide a smooth ride and I didn't have any hot spots at all. They are perfect for speed training and race day.
