I have the Hurricane 15's and they worked and are working great for me but they are worn out. I have low to medium arches but I mid foot strike. I am training for Marine Corps and needed a long distance shoe. I know for a fact the 15's would work but was not sure about the 16's because initially they felt stiff when I put them on. I went out for a 5 mile run and all I can say is this will be the shoe for the Marathon. Also, I have tested the NB 1260v4 - hated it! After two miles of running my legs, hips and ankles were sore. The Kayano 21 lite Show - love the looks the arch support is somewhat bothersome on 1 foot upon initial fitting but my feet seem to adjust.
I would say they are a good comparison to the Hurricane's in cushion throughout. It seems like they are designed for those that heel strike but are flexible enough to be used for those that mid-foot strike.
Out of the Box Comfort!!
This is a great shoe! Feels soft and firm at the same time. Accommodates orthotics beautifully. Hugs the heel but ample room in the toe. They were instantly comfortable the minute I took them out of the box.....like the Hurricane 10, which I wore only three times before running the Boston Marathon. I did find I needed to go up a 1/2 size from the previous model, but those were a bit snug, so the sizing may be comparable. My only partial criticism is that there is a little more space in the shoe opening, which means more mobility in the ankle. However, the heel box fits nicely, so my foot does not ride up when I flex. Another wonderful component of the recent Hurricanes is the slight stretch in the laces, whihc means no pressure spots. I'm considering buying another pair.

Recovering from Hamstring Strain
I bought the shoes because my big toe was rubbing up against a pair of Hoka One's I purchased online. I thought I'd try out the Sauconies. So far I haven't been able to really test them out due to a hamstring strain. I got a light 4 mile jog in on them over a spring break trip to Hampton Virginia and they felt great. I wear Platinum Fit orthotics on the inside of them without the original insole so I can't speak to the arch support of the shoe. I'm a bigger runner 230 lbs. so I'm going for maximum comfort. I've taken several walks in the shoes and they are comfortable for me. I have a wide foot and low to medium arch. I'm not a pronator.
I will be using these shoes for daily workouts such as in the gym and my casual run's. I use to do 5k, 10k a couple of half marathons and my first Saucony shoe was for the SD Marathon. Most comfortable shoe I have worn to date. Trying another brand just 3 months ago with no comparison. Hoping to train one last time for a half marathon. Haven't ran on the shoes for an honest longevity answer. Past performance of Saucony shoes, this pair is starting to outperform. Not the hard plastic feel older shoes have had. I have always had to purchase shoes for flat arch.

Saucony Hurricane 16 vs. ASICs
This is the 1st time I've run with Saucony's - the shoe was Endangered and the sale $price$ was great. However, the sizing is off compared to ASICS. With ASICS Stability or Stability+ shoes I get the 10.5 2E/Wide shoe and the fit is always the same. With the Saucony's I ordered the same size and the shoe fit is too big and not consistent with other recos for the shoe. I've done 3 10K Road Runs with this shoe and I feel like I won't get the same mileage out of these shoes as well...
The Sale $Price$ was great and I would order the shoes again but adjust size...
Stabilty to the MAX
Very good stability shoe with the right amount of cushion where you need it. These far exceeded my expectations. The only down fall is they can feel a bit "clunky" at times. Seems to be a reasonable trade off for the added stability. This shoe keeps your foot from rolling inward "over-pronation." Would like to see more color offerings. That's my only legitimate complaint for this shoe. If you're a heavy runner, 200LB+, looking for stability, I recommend this shoe over any other on the market right now. As always, RRS did a great job shipping this shoe to me super fast. VIP membership is awesome!

Another Great Saucony Hurricane
32 years ago I started training for my first marathon, and came upon an obscure brand named Saucony which was well-reviewed in running magazines. 32 years, 32 marathons, and tens of thousands of training miles later, all on Saucony, I'm still a big Saucony fan. I've been through virtually all of the Hurricane models, and with very few exceptions among some of the earlier models, the Hurricane has served me very well. The Hurricane 16 is yet another outstanding running shoe in the Saucony line, with great cushioning, comfort, and stability for long distance training and racing.

great training shoe
I am very pleased making the change to this shoe. I run 4 marathons per year and in the past did all my training in the Saucony Mirage shoes, which were leaving my legs feeling very tired and sluggish. With the help of the shoe fit expert, I was recommended these shoes and my training has rebounded back to the levels I was able to sustain in the past. Great cushioning, light enough to wear everyday for training and will likely use them for my next marathon also. Overall I am very happy with every aspect of this shoe. Plenty of room in the toe box, unlike the recent changes to the Mirage.
These shoes rock
I bought these shoes to train for the 2014 Capital to Coast Relay. So far I have been very pleased with the fit, comfort and feel of the shoe especially on my longer runs. My goal was to find a shoe with better cushioning because of worn knees. These shoes by far have the most cushioning of any running shoe I've worn and have really made a difference in reducing knee pain. They also offer great stability. I am 52 years old, 5'08" and weigh about 162 lbs. I would highly recommend this shoe.
Keep on running
Awesome shoe with great cushioning
I've been wearing saucony hurricane 15's for the past few years they were great but not very durable as the top seems to get worn out easily. The hurricane 16 is more durable without sacrificing the light-weight feature.I took it for a 9 mile run the first time I laid my hands on it,the ride was smooth, comfortable, fast with great stability.I felt great after my run and did not want to take off my shoes because they were so comfy.
I am an older and slower casual runner, as I have been wearing Saucony running shoes the past fifteen years. I am in the pachyderm class 6ft. 5 inches tall and 230 pounds. Saucony shoes offer great support and are very durable. I run an occasional 5K and 5 mile runs, but getting older (60's) has slowed me down. I recommend the Hurricane 16's for their support. Saucony works for me
I have been through numerous Saucony shoes and decided to try Asics Kayano 21's as I am about to run a marathon soon. I had to return the Asics after 30 days due to a bad burning sensation in my feet from the Asics. I decided to stick what has worked well for me. The Hurricanes are perfect in comparison except I would say the Asics have a more bouncy feel to them. I have never had complaints about Saucony.
When Ascics slip, Saucony is the fit.
My wife really likes Ascics shoes. However when I tried them, they slipped in the heel despite fitting well in the other areas. The Saucony were recommended to solve the problem. No slip and work well. No cuts on the Achilles which was the problem with some Avia shoes I had before. I'm using the road runner custom inserts so I cannot comment on the arch. These shoes do come in wide width, which I needed.
Runs with beergut
I decided to give a different brand of shoes a crack after suffering Shin Splints. I noticed an immediate difference after wearing these shoes on the first run. The good support and arch assistance resulted in hardly any pains along the shin which meant I was a happy purchaser, keeping me on track to train for a marathon. The shoes also felt light which is also a positive.
Superior, lightweight cushioning.
I am a 74 year old, 2 to 3 mile jogger, a few times weekly. Shock absorption is important, and well taken care of by this shoe. Stability is also important because I take to the grass regularly. This shoe does it all. I ordered it because of good performance I experienced with a previous model. The 16 seems lighter but equally solid to earlier model.
Darn Good Shoe
These are really comfortable shoes. They have great support and good cushioning. The only criticism I have of them is that they wear out a little quicker than other shoes when you use them on pavement. In spite of that, I am on my third pair and I have another pair waiting in the closet. The cushioning is fabulous. My back does not ache near as much using them.
Great shoe. No issues whatsoever.
I am 5'10", 188lbs. This shoe fits really well and has great cushioning. Nice amount of forefoot width. Some other Saucony shoes run narrow in the forefoot, while this is perfect for my feet.
I've gone for a few runs and haven't experienced any fit/function issues. Would recommend giving it a try if you're looking for a pair of shoes.
Nick the Runner
Very comfortable shoe, that keeps my back from aching. They look pretty sporty, not too splashy and I would rather wear them than any other shoes I have. The only negative comment I would make about them is that they wear out in the fore foot quicker than i would like. This is my 3rd pair so I am pretty satisfied with them.
Love the New Hurricane!!!
I like to run is several types of shoes during the coarse of a week and I'm a big fan of many of the Saucony shoes! The new Hurricane 16 is a great update! I use it for my long runs or on days when I feel I need just a little more cushion (I also run in the Saucony Guide 7 and Mirage 4). I had the previous model Hurricane and I really love the new upper on this version!
Saucony Hurriccane 16 shoes are great
Out of running for several years and wanted to see if I could start up after joint replacement surgery. I use these on the upright bike, the treadmill and the pavement when I am walking. Not up to running yet but these shoes feel great.
I have been a runner and a customer of Road Runner Sports for over 30 years.
The Saucony Huricane shoe is a great shoe, one that I have relied on for many years. I average 25 miles per week, have been as high as 50 miles per week when training for marathons.

Great shoes for heavy runners
Has been over 15 years since I last ran (knee surgery) and time will tell if I am able to run on a regular basis. So far so good. Even if running doesn't work out I like the fit and feel and the shoes will make a great walking shoe.
St. Louis Area
I decided to buy another brand of shoe when I realized it wasn't working for me. So I went back to the Saucony Hurricane 16, and I realized that I will never go to another shoe again.
Virginia Beach, VA
Comfortable and light
Been using these shoes for a month now and think they're great. I have low arches but find myself hurting a lot less in these than my previous shoes desiged for low arches. They're light wieight and feel fast.
RUN LIKE A HURRICANE
I have run 6 full marathons in these shoes. I usually change out the stock insole and put in a better cushion insole and have no foot problems.
Great stability shoe.

Very happy- great shoe!
I bought these for my husband. He runs about 4 days a week, 6 miles per day. He loves them! They are lightweight with a nice cushion. We ordered a size up for proper fit.
Heavily Cushioned shoe!
Got these to replace my usual Brooks running shoes that seem to be having quality issues. Very pleased with the cushioning. I have taken these out 10 miles so far and all has been well.

Best Stability Plus Shoe on the Market
For some reason I tried some competing brands after running in these for years - none provided the same comfort. This is the only show I will run in.
Palm Beach, Florida
Everything they promise
Super cushioning light weight, no breaking as they feel great out of box
Has been everything advertised so far!
I run and walk in them, they provide great arch support and broke in very easily!
