LOVE these wide shoes (I bought the D width). I had bought Brooks wide shoes but my toes were cramped. This has plenty of room, even after foot surgery. Felt perfect right out of the box. Thank you Saucony and Road Runner Sports!

Comments about Womens Saucony Ride 7 Running Shoe:

After wearing the Shadow 6000 for 15 years or so I was forced to try a new shoe bcause Saucony discontinued the wide version of the Shadow. Roadrunner suggested the Ride 7, and it is as close to perfect as possible. Comfortable, size is true, good cushioning, fits like a dream. I do about 8 miles a day on a treadmill at a 4.8 mph pace, 40-50 miles a week So far I've got about 100 miles on the Ride 7 and I can't find anything I don't like. They're not just wonderful and comfortable, they're also 21% lighter than the Shadow. I am a very happy woman, and I would recommend this shoe. I just hope Saucony doesn't change it for a few years.

I have always worn a 8.5 in the rides, to my surprise the design has changed they have made the toe box wider and slightly narrower along the sides , I went back and forth between the 8 and the 8.5 and the 8 's were just too small, I have to lace the 8.5 a different , tight on the bottom and all the holes on top . Hoping this works

New Overlay caused blister - heartbroken

Comments about Womens Saucony Ride 7 Running Shoe:

I've run in several Saucony shoes - the latest being the Kinvara 4 (hate them) and the Ride 6 (love them). I was so excited to try the Ride 7 as I loved the changes they made the cushioning.

When I tried them on they felt perfect. They fit exactly. They have a wider toe box and more room in the toe box than the Ride 6. The heel is snug and comfortable. The tongue is perfect. Everything felt absolutely perfect so I plopped down my money and left. I've taken them out for 3 runs now and I just cannot get beyond 6 miles in them without blister and irritation on the outside part of the foot below the big toe (you know the area - if you have a shoe too narrow it always irritates this area). This happened in the Ride 6 but I put in some custom soles and it went away (I assume they moved my feet enough for it not to be a problem). However on the Ride 7 they've added an overlay running horizontal to the ground that "meets" up with the overlay coming across the shoe and the intersection there has a bump inside the shoe and that presented all sorts of issues. The horizontal overlay is right at the edge above the foam and it runs around the toe box through to the other side. You can see where these overlay's meet in the pictures that show the inside perspective. I've tried "rolling" the overlay's that intersect there out and stretching it but nothing helps. When I took the shoes off after a 9 mile run this morning there was actually a very clear indentation on the outside ball of my foot and it was tender to the touch and blistered. This piece of overlay appears new (it is not on any of my other Ride's and I have 2 pair). I've tried with the custom soles and with swapping out the sock liner and no go on any of it.

For a traditional trainer I think they look awesome. For the first time the toe box is wide enough, my high volume foot fits in it perfectly. I've tried different socks too - didn't work. I tend to think when this happens the shoe is too narrow but when I pull the sock liner out and put my foot on it my foot fits in it like a glove. NO Overlap outside the sock liner at all. I mean literally it's just perfect. I'm actually quite heartbroken because I wore my last Ride's for my 1/2 marathon in April and they really needed replacing. Unfortunately these are not going to do. For casual walking and very short runs these are o.k. -- but I usually use much more minimal shoes for those. I really only go for the 6-8mm drop with cushioning at this level for my 8 mile - 16 mile runs. Now I've got to find another shoe with great cushioning for my long runs. Sigh.

Comments about Womens Saucony Ride 7 Running Shoe:

I used the Ride 6 and loved that shoe. I wanted to give the new 7s a try. I love the upgrades that Saucony did. I feel they are just a hair lighter, more responsive and I like the rounded toebox. I have noticed that the rubber is a little harder than the 6, but that makes for a more responsive shoe, which love. Right now I am training for a half marathon and will be training in these for a marathon later this year. If you enjoyed running in the Ride 6, then you will love the 7!
