I started wearing this shoe 10 years ago when I began running seriously. After many miles and marathons, no injuries! I've tried different brands/styles, but always end up coming back. There is something unique about the rise of the heel that makes them perfectly comfortable and easy on the knees. Love the wide toe box, too. I know they're not pretty, and they don't hold up more than 300 miles or so, but I'll keep buying them as long as they're made.

Years ago this was my favorite shoe. Then I moved on to other shoes but could not find good heel fit. Thought I would try the Saucony Shadow 6000 again, a good fit, but terrible cushioning; awful even for walking.

I have been wearing these shoes since they came out maybe 20 years and haven't had any running injuries! They are great! I buy several at a time because I'm afraid they will quit making them.

The only shoe I can wear... for work(RN), play, dress up, running, for 37 marathons. Orthotics fit in well, look nice. Get "dirty" quickly, but price is reasonable and I can rotate from being the "dress" shoe down to run, play shoe - often, since I can maintain a stockpile of them. I'm 62 y.o. woman and started wearing the original Shadow and then 6000 (never could get use to Shadow Grid)so I've been wearing this shoe since I was in my early 40"s!! and I'm still running strong! Thanks, Saucony, please ALWAYS make the Shadow 6000! They are taking to Boston Marathon, again, this month!

This model has taken me over hundreds of miles, 10 marathons over 16 years...I've tried others, but always come back to these "perfect" shoes. I am so grateful they are still around!

I've been wearing these since the early 1990s. Every time I try another shoe I hate it and come back to these. Toe box is wide enough, heels a little loose but correct lacing fixes that. I'm 5'6", weight has varied from 145 to 175 but these shoes have stood up well no matter what. And as far as the appearance goes - I don't buy my running shoes to be fashionable!

This shoe is the worst pair of running shoes I have ever worn. My friend gave them to me as a gift and I thought I would try them out,I recommend you do NOT BUY THESE. Their appearence is very ugly too.

I love these shoes, including their appearance. I have been wearing them for 6 years. They are lightweight, but provide good cushion and support. I purchase one pair for running and keep another pair for "dressy" wear. I don't find that they wear quickly (three months). Running shoes get sweaty and should be replaced regularly. You can afford to with this fair price.

I'm so excited to find these again! Used to buy in bulk in my younger days when they were first made, because they were discontinued awhile.. They don't hold up to high mileage; they're really more of a racing flat...BUT they are absolutely the BEST shoe ever made for someone who really would rather run barefoot but can't in urban settings, has no pronation problems, needs flex in the foot (current shoes are so rigid!), a wider toe box that doesn't slide - and - the best of all - those little triangles for traction for those of us who run in freezing conditions! I've never minded the color, since mine get mud-colored pretty fast...It doesn't matter it wears out fast, because the price is reasonable for something you use more often than anything else.

I have been running in these shoes since 1991 and never had a problem except for large callous' on my big toes--but I attribute that to wearing men's shoes vs. women's. I have tried several other brands--adidas, NB, asics--and have ended up injured. For whatever reason, these do not aggravate my achilles tendinitis. Yes, they are somewhat outdated in appearance, but I choose comfort and function over asthetics. I average 30-40 mpw and they are kind to my VERY high arches. I am 5'8, 130#, 48 yo female. I have done 5 marathons (my PR being 3:29 a couple of years ago). I do most of my training in these, race in Saucony Azura and buy both in bulk. Please do not stop stocking these shoes!

Last year I finished my goal of running a marathon in every state. Every single time, I wore the Shadow 6000 - never even had a blister after 26.2! This has been the only shoe for me for as long as I have been marathoning - 1993! I don't care what color they are as long as I can keep cranking out the miles.

The shadow 6000 is the best shoe I have ever worn for my tired, sore feet. I also heard they were being discontinued, but was lucky enough to find them in Road Runner Sports. Thanks for still carrying the shoes.

I have been wearing these for almost 15 years, always try others and come back to these, they are the only shoe with a deep toe box, great stability and cusion.

Best shoe ever. I wish I hadn't wasted my time looking for a more fancy-looking shoe. They were all a waste of money! This one's the best. I echo the color thing. Too girlie looking.

Great shoe. Lots of room in the forefoot. The heel's a little wide, but with the proper lacing you can get around that. None of the foot or IT band problems I've had with other shoes. Tried others, keep coming back.

I have run in this shoe for over 10 years and have worn out over 10 pairs. I have tried other shoes, but always come back to it because I know it will provide me everything I want - comfort, durability and no problems. 155 lb male, 6 miles every other day.

I have been wearing these shoes for about 8 years - I never had a blister or a foot-related injury and I ran two marathons in the rain with these. I just wish they lasted a bit longer. They seem to wear out too quickly. I am afraid to change shoes since these have worked so well for me.

Nothing fancy just good cushioning, good fit and good price. I do 20 miles a week and unlike many other models I've tried, I'm pain free with the Shadow 6000.

I have worn these shoes since the were introduced. Prio to that time I wore the shadow. Typically run between 35-45 mpw and have only experience problems on two occasions when I tried a different shoe (NB-achillies/Saucony Swerve TI-IT Band). Will continue with this shoe as long as I run or as long as they are manufactured. I would like a long life from shoe, but will buy in bulk rather than switch.

What a great shoe. I was prepared to sacrifice some stability for the 6000's famous cushioning but found them stable enough even for long runs. They're a tad lose in the heal but with the right lacing technique you can get around this. I run 35 miles per week/5'1"/115lbs. These are my new favorite.

I have worn Sauconys for years. This shoe fits me worse than any I have ever worn. The instep is too big and the heel is loose. I wouldn't buy this style again.

Contrary to the information details given on this site, this shoe is not a product of the USA. Mine said China. That discrepancy irritates me greatly, as place of origin was the deciding factor in my choosing this shoe. Otherwise, I'd give it a higher rating.

Most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. The only thing I would change is the wear, if they lasted six months I would be happy. And I love the color combination, they're so cute!

I've been wearing these shoes since they first came out, and I've never found a better shoe for me--I've tried switching several times. I run 25 miles per week--6'--190. Change the color! I liked the black trim which came out one year.

These shoes are a pleasant surprise. Very comfortable, fabulous fit, and decent stability. Compared to the Omni II and the Shadow 7, I rate the 6000 to be the better shoe. Even after 250 miles, the shoe still feels great.

I love this shoe! I have been wearing it for 10 years and have never had an injury. This is a great shoe for those of us who have a thin heel and a wider foot. I ran Chicago 2002 blister-free, and had no blisters during long training runs.
