Been using Sauconys for over 20 years, always found them the best for cushoning ans stability. 90% of my runs are pavement, 3D Grid Hurricane good but heals wore down way too quickly - would like to see more durability in the construction.

Mon, May 25,2009:
The last of the great running shoe by Saucony.
Been a runner for years and have tried many different running shoes until 4 years ago I switched to Saucony Hurricane 7.
By far, the most comfortable shoe I had ever worn.
Problem is, the shoe went away soon after and was replaced with the 9 and 10 models which were either too uncomfortable or too heavy.
I keep coming back to the Hurricane 7 because it is a shoe that Saucony has not been able to improve upon despite the fact that sometimes it gets difficult to find.
Fortunately I think Saucony sees that people still want this shoe and has kept them in circulation.

I am 6' 170lbs and run approximately 20-40 miles a week and the 7 series is the best. The 8 series is has a week soul I blistered badly with them - but the 9 was better. The 10 series is a joke - it was sized differently and does not fit as well as the 7. I started running 4 years ago and have run over 68 marathons and 6 halfs and countless of other races and the 7 series offers the best support. Tried Brooks Adren., Asics, NB - and they all gave me IT band problems or knee problems - but no problems with the 7 - it is a dependable shoe for me.

I put over 500 miles on the first pair that I bought a couple of years ago. For someone who's 5-7 and 180ish lbs with bad knees and shin splints the shoes are it. I ran two half marathons and many 5k's in this shoe. Why mess with perfection I'm buying another pair RIGHT NOW.

My knees started to bother me the first few miles I wore these shoes. They pitched me way too far forward. Free to anyone -- worn for about 20 miles.

The Grid Hurricane 7 works for me. Nice wide toe box and a narrow heel that doesn't slip with my orthotics in. I hope I can keep getting these.

Been running in Saucony for 20 years. Worst pair I've ever owned. Have a major blister on right foot due to the heel slipping. Doesn't matter what socks or lacing I use my heel still slips.

I have been running with these for about three months. It seems to cause me much tightness in my calves and hamstring while running. Even with stretching, I get the tightness. Pace is generally an 8 minute mile, but has been going up slowly. Shoe overall is well built, going thru some torture tests with fartleks, pyramids, etc. Do switch out the insoles, promise it will make the shoe better. Overall, not bad, but can definately tell a difference from the 8 series. Hopefully the next saucony will be better for us heavier guys.

I use my pair primarily on a treadmill and they absorb the impact way better than my Nike Air Conquers. No blisters no complaints...great shoe!

This is an after the first run review - This shoe is great. I had a pair of Brooks GTS 6 (I think), and although very good overall, they were a bit flimsy, and broke down quickly. These Hurricane 7s are much more firm right out of the box. The rear foot is very firm and stable, while the forefoot is flexible. Very good I think. I'll definitely be running in these for a while.

Wow..This is the shoe I've been looking for. Good cushioning and stability for a 210lber who runs about 40 mile weeks.

I'm 5'10", 175 lb and run around 40 miles per week. I've been running in Brooks Trances, but decided to try the Hurricanes based off recommendations. In the 7s, I've developed severe blisters on the bottom of my arch at less than 150 miles. Therefore, I'm going back to Brooks.

Tried a pair recently and found that the forefront cushioning was lacking. The Saucony insole was paper thin, so it might work with a good replacement insole.

I have tried dozens of shoes and the GH7 is the best. I recently ran a marathon without a single blister or even a rub. The arch support and pronation control are fantastic for such a soft and responsive shoe. After two broken kneecaps I can now run pain-free. I am now stockpiling this shoe.

I'm 175lbs with wide feet. I compete in olympic distance triathlons (10k run). I'm now ordering my second pair of these shoes. They are the most comfortable running shoes I've ever had and they fit great. I've probably over worked my current pair, running about 12 miles a week for the past 2+ years. I used NB previousy, and find the Saucony's to have less mushy feel and last longer.
