The shoe is extremely durable and a great shoe. I also am prone to ankle injuries and this shoe has been fantastic. Can not believe it is on the endangered list. Have not found a better shoe to run in

Wow these shoes are amazing since I got them I have felt great. The breathable mesh and how light they are is amazing and maybe are the best running shoes I ever ran in.

I have ran, and reced in just about every shoe brand and type. I have had asics, nikes, nb's, mizunos, and pumas and no shoe can be compared to this! it has unbeatable cushion and stability. I suffer from constant injuries, shin splints stress fractures strained muscles and have yet to have a problem arise from these shoes!! Phenominal work saucony! And if you want an excellent pair of spikes get the saucony killkenny's they don't dissapoint!

I bought them after 4 years of Mizuon Aero. I prefer them for up to 10 km races but not enough support and cushion for longer races.

Light, soft, flexible - reminds me of earlier Mizuno Precision models. Forefoot bottoms out pretty quickly, though, so if you're big or run on hard surface, it's better suited for shorter speed runs.
5'8" 150# forefoot striker.

Comfortable shoe for shorter runs, toe box is a little smaller than the tangent 2. Good for 5K and under. Longer runs result in blisters and misery.

When I first ran in these shoes I got really nervous because the fit just didn't feel right and I felt like they were even changing my running mechanics. At nearly 200 miles later they have turned out to be an excellent shoe and are holding up very well. I normally don't have to break in shoes but I guess these needed it for me.

Love this shoe. Lightweight, comfortable, and no "hot spots" that have plagued me with other shoes. Have run two marathons and use them regularly for track workouts, and love them. I'm 6'0" and 155 lbs, and these shoes seem to have enough stability for me to be an all-around shoe, but I prefer a bit more stability for distance runs, so I would not recommend it as a trainer. I've used it in 5&10Ks, but it's not as light as a racing flat. Where it just works perfectly for me is as for distance racing and track workouts. Light, but with adequate stability. A wonderful shoe.

lightweight and responsive but too narrow. they really need a 2E option for their performance series shoes. Similar feel to the elixirs except narrower so I only use these for 400/800 interval days.

I ran 4 marathons with this shoe.
Light and comfortable, but the inside of the shoe/ back wore out quickly.
I would have given it a 5, but the cheap inner cloth. Also the black inside the shoe blackens my socks.

Would be 5 stars with some additional forefoot cushioning for longer runs/races. Very comfortable, like a slipper. Well-ventilated, smooth footstrike transition, excellent minimalist stability. Perfect for temp runs, track speedwork, and races. Haven't used it as a daily trainer. Sometimes while warming up for speedwork I find myself way above pace because the shoe is so light and comfortable I don't realize I'm going as fast as I am. Saucony, good job, and thanks for remembering that excessive plastic (see new Asics Kayano14) does not make a shoe better. The Tangent is so soft you want to wear it around all day.

Love it, love it, love it! I had a pair of Brooks Axiom 2's that I had to return b/c I got the hugest blisters on the outside of my big toes after running a 1/2 marathon in them. Not only are these lighter, but the heel is more snug, and the shoe seems to fit my foot like a glove. When I wear these, I can't help but go faster, and my form feels better to me. Saucony, you have won me over with this shoe . . .

Great shoe, I love the lightwieght feel, and love the low profile to the ground having dealt with ankle problems. The shoe is perfect for a mid-foot striker, but I will have to agree with the previous reviewer that the fore foot is only a tad bit too shallow. Also the tongue tends to fall to the side causing irritation on the top of my foot. THis is nearly a perfect shoe, it only needs more forefoot, and maybe try a glove fit and replace that awful tongue. They are very durable, and I am fairly picky on my footwear, this is the best shoe I've had in awhile. thanx saucony

I loved the Asics DS Trainer. Once I wore out my pair of Tangents, I wore a spare pair of DS Trainers. They felt aweful, unnatural, and less cushioned compared to the Tangent.
I have concluded that this is THE best shoe I have ever ran in after running in many, many lightweight trainers. They can handle a good amount of miles too(500 and still goin on my current pair).
I would not size up. They seem to fit true to size to me.

I bought the shoes at the Marathon Expo in New York, and my only regret is that I didnīt buy several pairs. They are great, maybe even the best shoes I have ever run in. Well, I will wait for the ultimate judgement after I have done some 20+ milers in them. So far I ran several times up to 120 miles and they are awesome. Light but well cushioned and responsive. They are excellent for fast running. I am 5ī11 and weigh about 150lb so I donīt really know whether this shoes can be worn by heavier people, but for light, efficient runners it is definetely a great shoe.

Much better than Tangent 2's. Great cushioning and stability in a lightweight package. I'm flat footed and love the low profile to get a better feel of the road. These were great for my Half Ironman and helped propel me to a PR!

I agree that this is the greatest ever Tangent. good cushoning, stability, smooth transition, and light weight. But the forefoot is too shallow for me and have a pain at the root of my big toe. this is the reason to rate 2 stars. if you have low profile feet, this model must be the best.

I went with the Asics Ds trainer after not being happy with the build of the Tangent 2. The Tangent 3 is lightweight and fast. I'm happy to be back.
