probably the best first run i ever had in shoe. Fit very well and responsive

This shoe has a good transition from front to rear and plenty of cushion; however, not as mush cushioning as the Mizuno I usually wear. Also, a very comfortable shoe in general.

I started with the triumph 3, then 4 and now 5. I have had 2 back operations. The others were good for shock absorption but not this one. Feels like I am running barefoot. I know opinions differ, I have been running for 30+ years and for me this is one of the worst shoes I have tried.

Just finished the Chicago Marathon in these. I trained in them and have found them to be a great pair of running shoes. Tried on the Triumph 6 at the Expo--they are more cushioned than the 5, but I'll move to the 6b when the 5s are no longer available. Until then, I will stock up on this shoe--gr...

6'5", 210 lb midfoot striker 40mi/wk. These shoes have plenty of cushioning, however they have a strange feel in the ball of the foot that is incredibly annoying on long runs. They're just plain uncomfortable - I recommend Mizuno Wave Riders instead.

On my second pair, and am a supenator. Run 30 miles per week and like the ventilation. I will not buy this shoe again because the outer heel wears far to fast after about 250 miles.

This is my first Saucony purchase ever..190 pound midfoot striker..the arch lock seems to work by preventing torsion at midfoot as opposed to meeting the arch from ground up...I have a high arch and that is what it feels like compared to Mizuno creation, ASics Cumulus and Brooks Radius...it is very...

Fits me perfectly, Moderately Firm heel, and well cushioned forfoot. 40 miles a week, 165 lbs, mild pronation. This is my replacement for the new balance 991.

6'5" 210lbs 34 year old male doing 40-50 miles per week with mid-high arches. This shoe did not have enough coushining for me. As well, rocks were constantly getting in the tread which was a bit annoying. Suggest either the Brooks Glycerin or New Balance 1062.

I just recently started running again, after a long hiatus and typically do around 25 miles a week and wow this shoe is great. I was running in another brand that didn't do my legs justice and I had a lot of knee and shin pain. After two runs in these shoes, the pain is gone and these shoes have d...

I truly enjoy this shoe. Use to run in Kayano-13s, and then ran in Hurricane 10s. So far have only run about 50 miles in these, but I am sold on them.

Thu, July 10,2008:
I am into my second pair of these and I notice the wear on the outersole (midfoot) area is not holding up well only after 75 miles. I run on pavement mainly long run. I like these better then the 4's lighter, more flexible. But if your looking for firmer, more cushioned, more stable shoe then th...

I am a 190 pound midfoot striker with a real high arch..an an orthotic wearer in my left foot only...I normally wear a nine ..had to go to a 9.5 in these...real comfortable out of the box..not as soft as the Vomero but a little too soft for my personal taste..I agree with the reviewer who commented ...

It's not the Triumph 4. Less stable and just not the same. Sending them back and hunting for Triumph 4s on the net.

Overall I'm happy with this shoe. The fit is a bit snug, but nobody makes 13.5's. Additionally, the stock laces are flat awful, but that is easy enough to fix.

177 lbs, 6 1" neutral runner. I have 327 miles on them. (retiring them shortly, and buying them again) I like these better then the 4's. Not as stiff as the 4, just the right cushioning and lighter. Great improvement. Buying my second

I had been running in Glycerins for a couple of years. My doctor recommended getting something more cushioned because I have some sensitive nerves on the ball of my right foot--when I run on trails and step over rocks, I get a sharp pain up my entire leg. I decided to give these a try and boy am I a...

Wrote a review in December after the Memphis St Jude marathon and was impressed with this shoe. I just now had to get another pair due to wear. I ordered 2 pair and am still impressed. I loooooove this shoe!!!!

I have been a lifetime Asics runner however was disappointed for the first time with my last pair of Asics. I decided to break away from Asics and try the ProGrid Triumph 5. WOW! What a shoe. Stability was great as well as comfort while on the road. This is a winner. Thanks Saucony for putting tog...

Saucony did it again! Between the Sinisters and these Trimph 5s, i'm training in the best looking, best fitting running shoes EVER. These Triumph 5s are my shoe choice to carry me over the finish line of my first Marathon. I *heart* Saucony!

I have been through a few other shoes before trying the Saucony Triumph 5. Before I had knee problems, achilles problems, shin splints. Now I just ran a half marathon and my legs felt great. There may be a better shoe out there, but I'll stick with these!

Didnt really like this shoe. Thought the 4 was a lot better. The 5 feels very unstable and even too soft. Good for walking maybe?

I've only got about 50 miles on these shoes but I absolutely LOVE them! Not too heavy and cushioning is great... Only thing I added to them is the superfeet insole, otherwise a perfect shoe for me.

Mon, April 21,2008:
I don’t understand Saucony: “If it's not broken, don't fix it!”. Triumph was a great shoe since model 2 through 4 with minimal changes, mostly esthetics. Model 5 has not ANY cushion on forefoot, I just have bought some Triumph 4’s for stock and I will start trying other brands. Neutral, 180 pounds,...
