This is the 3rd version of the Triumph I've owned, and I absolutely love everything about them - except one thing: the outside edge of the sole is too soft. I have a tendency to roll out (way under-pronate), and these shoes have no support on the outside edge of the forefoot. The heel is nice and sn...

Wow! Just came back from my first run in my new 5s and I ran without heel pain from my plantar facsitis (spelling?) in I don't know how long! Whatever they did to the heel in this shoe is just perfect. I wore the 4s before this and liked them, but my heels always hurt. Thought I was just going to ha...

I like the fit and the light weight.Cushioning is just enough for what I love, but I believe it is a better shoe for an efficient runner and I would say it is more a neutral than a neutral+.But I've ran long run with it without any problem.I'll recomand it.

bought the gold 5: likes: softer upper than the blue 4 which gave me toe blisters. nice fit and light weight. Dislikes: These 5's have noticeably less cushion than the #4. My worn out blue 4's still have more cushion than the gold 5's after about 1 month of 30 miles/week. Bottoms of my feet were s...

I LOVE thi shoe! Ran 6 miles in them out of the box. Am training for my first half marathon in June and have been training in these since January. Alternating with the Saucony Progrid Trigon Ride (which actually hurts my pinky toe!). Was trying to save money by not buying two pairs of PGT5 and wil...

I am buying my second pair. I have had no complaints - the cushioning is fine for me. I usually buy neutral shoes and these are neutral plus; they lasted quite a bit longer than my last pair of neutral shoes. I only run in saucony and am currently training for a marathon.

I have the Triumph 4 and was very confident that I would love the Triumph 5. I was right...it is lighter and I can feel the flexibility through the toe region.

I use to run in Asics, the nimbus 7 to be correct but I did not like the nimbus 8 so I tried saucony 4 and like it but they wore out very fast. They then recommend me the saucony 5 and I really love this shoe especially the fit and the heel.We are visiting San Diego in May and I will definitely buy...

this is my favorite shoe, i run between 90 and 110 mpw and find its holding up better than most of my shoes do. i like that its soft but light enough for quicker runs.

What happened to the forefoot cushioning? In search of another shoe! The 4's were great (except, yes, I too noticed the green 4's were softer than the blue 4's-thought it was my imagination). Just bought my last pair of 4's and will be looking for another shoe when they wear out.

I have not run in Saucony in many years, thought I'd give them a try again, and what a pleasant surprise. I alternate these with Asics Gel Nimbus and have not had any problems, had been alternating with Mizuno wave creation but they were breaking down too quickly for the $$$. I have a very high ar...

I don't love these shoes. I have worn them on a short run, long run, hill and speedwork. Little to no forefoot cushioning. This is actually the 2nd pair of Saucony I haven't been super pleased with, the last being my 2nd pair of Progrid 4's, although I was happy with the 1st pair of those. Maybe...

I had the 4s, but it was time for a new shoe. Tried these 5s and they're awesome. Light, squishy and comfortable. I definitely feel springier in my step. I like the new laces--easier to adjust for comfort. I'll definitely get another pair. I got the gold/black combo which is very neutral.

wow. Wow! WOW!! Just pulled these out of the box and did 5 mi. (after not running for 9 wks.) and they are amazing. There is no point on my foot where I can actually feel the shoe, but the support is awesome. No heel slippage! Thanks to NB for the 1061, but Saucony is back, at last.

love these shoes. I switched from the Asics nimbus 9 (liked the 8) because Asics increased the stability of the shoe and they started causing knee pain. I have had no issues with the cushioning and they feel very light. Have ran a half marathon and 15K in them and couldn't be happier.

No forefoot cushioning. My legs and feet were sore after a 7+ mile run. Never had that problem with any other Saucony I've had. These are going back. Not worth the money.

BUT, outsole feels supportive and yet cushioned, it it has great medial foot and arch support is excellent, without a high arch that digs into the bottom of my foot. Still ugly though. woul...

I loved the 4's! They were the best shoe I had every run in with plenty of cushioning and support. I had gone through three pairs without a complaint. I was excited for the 5's to come out, put very disappointed. The cushioning had disappeared and the shoes were not responsive. Feels like cushio...

I had the same situation with my Triumph 4s.I had to purchase the mens gold to fit my orthotics. They were great.I purchased the blue version and they were much stiffer, not to the point where they cannot be worn but there is an obvious difference.I thought it was just me.

Seemed much stiffer and with less forefoot cushion. No heel blister like with the "4"'s. To me, they are too "hard". I returned them and bought the way heavier Mizuno's. I'm a 30+ mile per week runner.

This is a "question", not a review. For those who wore the Triumph 4, is the 5 "noticeably" lighter? I loved the cushioning in the "green" 4s, but seems like when I got the "blue" 4s, the shoe was much stiffer than the green ones. I thought that it should have been only a color change. But overa...
