I find the stability excellent and the wide toe box very comfortable, would recommend.

Mon, April 14,2008:
When I found the Hurricane IX I was ecstatic. They were the perfect combination of stiffness and cushioning. I'm fairly flat footed, 170LBS, 5' 10". I was running 30-40 miles a week in the IX on pavement with no injuries or strains. The X is a totally different shoe. It is EXTREMELY flexible and, ...

Much better impact cushioning than my old Hurricane 8's. Toe box is larger, but it's not that big an issue. They're lighter and my stride feels more free and natural - the 8's were very restrictive.

Gerat out of the box feel for about 100 miles then mid-soles start going flat. I went throught 2 pair. No problems like this with the previous Hurricane models. I'm 185 lbs and trail running only. Too bad, these are the best fiting shoe for me......

Sat, April 12,2008:
I have run in Hurricanes for years. I have always liked the stiffness of the Hurricane but the 10 is more flexible. The heel is also not as snug and the shoe just overall fits bigger than the others. I can't quite get comfortable in this shoe - the 9's are still my favorite.

Thu, April 03,2008:
I wear down the outside heels of my shoes which seems to make me an outward (under) pronater. The ProGrid Hurricane 8's worked great for me, providing excellent cushioning and support. When I went to reorder, though, I discovered they had been discontinued and I was stuck with the Hurricane 10 which...

Do not buy half size up. That is not correct. These run large. Feel great so far. Will update after a few more miles.

Nice shoes, but the toe area was too wide for me and the shoe material buckled under the lacing by the toes.

Great shoe that feels great on first run. I have problems sometimes because I take a wide shoe that the shoe can be a little too wide at times in toe area. I do not have this problem with this shoe.

I agree with P-Runner- The stability is way too much. The fit is much tighter in the heel. It feels more like a motion control shoe. The colors Yuck!

I am diehard Saucony runner. This is a very poor update. The 6,8, and now 10 are just aweful. I quess even numbers are no there thing anyway I will have to stock up on 9's until 11 show up.

I've worn the last 3 Hurricanes, and this is my favorite. I wore a 12.5 in the other versions, but take a 12 in these, so be wary about sizing up. The fit is a little more snug, but this shoe feels very plush. Great job Saucony!!!
