Fantastic shoe! I use it for all of my workouts ranging about 90 miles/week. I'm 180lbs and supinate moderately but this shoe still lasts well.

Excellent shoe with a lot of cushion. I was addicted to Mizuno Rider from 2005 but after trying the Triumph I change to them (this is the 2nd pair in 3 months). I really appreciated the lacing system that I suggest for people with high arch feet (like me).

(continued from previous review) ...just as comfortable and have never experienced any heel slippage, toe issues, or any of the other problems previous reviewers have mentioned. I'm a lighter runner (140 lbs, 35-50 mpw) and certainly can't comment on the cushioning properties for a clydesdale; however, for me, the Triumph 6 has been a winner (soft, flexible and responsive, albeit a bit expensive).

It's really amusing to read reviews from people who either haven't worn the shoe, or only have a handful of runs in them. Isn't the purpose of these reviews to comment on one's experiences and to help guide those comtemplating a purchase? Regardless, I'm on my second pair of the T6 and think it's a well-cushioned, durable and versatile shoe. I put over 420 miles on my first pair before I started feeling any discomfort, which is a record for me. I was a big fan of the Triumph 4 (went through 4 pairs of them), but only got 280-340 miles out of them. Quite honestly, these are less clunky than the T4 (which I tended to wear mainly on long runs). This shoe works well for me on both longer runs (12-20 miles) and tempo efforts. It really is a great everyday shoe. Yes, the fit is a bit different than earlier iterations (I wear a 9.5 in the T6 and wore a 9 in the T4), but I find this shoe just as comfortable and have never experienced any heel slippage, toe issues, or any of the other p

This is the first saucony I have ever purchased. I took them home and ran around my apartment once and wanted to take them back. It is a super comfortable shoe, but they don't hold your heel at all. I felt like I was going to step out of them with every stride. I would not recommend them if you like a secure feeling shoe.

With Version 6, gone is the snugger feel of the previous Version 5. The shoe fits sloppy and I'm forced to switch over to the adistar Ride which is a good shoe but wears out twice as fast as the Triumph. And I'm a midfoot striker 5'9" only 140 lbs.

I really dislike these shoes. The Triumph 5 had a much tighter heel so your foot wouldn't slip out of the shoe. These are so bad I've actually had the shoe slip completely off my foot. I miss the snug heel.

Beav check out the ASICS Nimbus 11 for more cushioning and stabler platform. Do not know your weight but at a size 14, T6's sound like they are probably not protecting you enough..good luck!

Wed, April 22,2009:
I read the previous 4 and 5 star reviews and can only guess that these shoes have poor quality control - they're all over the place! I wear a size 14, medium(D)width, and have a very high arch. These shoes don't come close to having enough support to be rated a "neutral" and the toe box leaves my foot swimming in it. I feel like I'm wearing a triple E! These are the first pair of Saucony's I've owned, my wife did all the ordering and had to send back once for a bigger size. I didn't want to hurt her feelings by telling her how frustrated I am by the fit. So far the durability seems good so I'll give it a 2 star, but seriously doubt I'll buy another pair no matter how big the hype.

This shoe fit like a glove! Could it use more cushioning for heavier or higher mileage runners, perhaps, but it is designed as a LIGHTWEIGHT trainer...right? I recall back in the day when ADIDAS Marathon's were all the rage...Need more cushioning on the mid or forefoot then get the Jazz, the Ride, even the Nimbus 10. But if you want a nice heel & mid-foot fit, efficient transitions and quick step weight, the Triumph delivers IMHO...I echo the point on the previous review no shoe will make everyone happy. If it fits and feels good...buy it.

Nothing will make everyone happy but you all seem to have the answers, whenever I need a good laugh I just listen to you guys complain about shoes. the 4s, 5s, 6s...I've had multiple pairs of each (well, just one pair of 6s) and gotten over 500 miles on every one of them. there are differences but they are all good shoes.

You guys are preaching to the choir.
The Triumph 4 was a great shoe, I had 4 pairs. I got the 5 and they were shot when I got to 100 miles. Unacceptable.
I'm don't know whether or not to give the 6 a shot or keep going in the Nimbus 10's. Wake up Saucony, and bring back the things that made the 4 great.

ran in tri5 and loved the freedom of the toebox. Then Saucony did what everybody does, fixed it when it wasn't broken...too much upper crap in the forefoot. Just finished 14 miles and have second black toe from this model (had none from 5's and ran 1 marathon and several 1/2's and loads of other runs/races with no black toes.

I am 510, 195lbs and run about 15 miles per week. I have put about 50miles on this shoe. Very happy with the Tri6. I have owned the Tri4 and Tri5 and this model is the best. It has the perfect blend of cushion and responsiveness. The shoe seems to mold to your foot. Excellent shoe, very happy with it.

This my first pair of Saucony shoes. I got them to train for a half marathon, and they have allowed my mileage to increase without the pain I had been experiencing in my Mizunos. Really responsive for amount of cush involved. Great shoes. 6'4" 245 lbs and these have been great for the first 100 miles.

I hope Saucony reads these reviews; and not just RoadRunner customers. This review is a bit ahead of the game in that I loved the Progrid Triumph 4 -- bought four of them -- but when the Triumph 5 came out and I bought it, the 5 was a major disappointment; going "backward" in every way. So, I'm "reviewing" the 6 without wearing it, based on comments from the other reviews by Bob and the rest..I'M WAITING FOR THE PROGRID TRIUMPH 7...AND HAVE NO INTENTION OF BUYING THE 6. PLEASE GET IT RIGHT, AND RETURN TO THE VIRTUES OF THE 4; THE BEST SHOE I'VE EVER WORN!!!!

Loved the Triumph 4's. I'm an older runner, and loved the fit and cushioning. The 6's fit great, but the cushion is not close to the 4's. The same as the reviews of the 5's. Hope the 7's get it right again.

Very poor cushioning in the forefoot. Heel cushioning was fine. Not a very sturdy shoe, and it seems like it would not be very durable. Minimal use would seemingly trash this shoe in about 3 or 4 weeks. Lightweight and breathable, and fit like a slipper. Unfortunately it also felt like a slipper (poor cushioning) when running in them.

i'm 5'11, 170pds. high arch. enjoyed nike's, but the triumph 5, and now, 6, has edge on them. even better than the 5 series. feels lighter, more natural, and a bit more spring in each step. the memory foam soul really conforms to my foot. feels funny the first mile, but great there after. most of my runs are 3-7miles, but looking to increase. this is the sneaker to take me there.

I'm 6'6", 200 lb, under pronator, and run 40-45 miles per week (long runs to 20 mi). I was a huge fan of the progrid 4, but hated the progrid 5 so much I went to the PI syncrofloat. That shoe was too soft and was worn out by 145 miles. The progrid 6 is similar to the 4, but slightly firmer and seems to have a wider toe box. I've got about 100 miles on them and the soles are holding up well.

I Bought a pair of Progrid 5's and after 50 miles of trying to break them in I was unhappy with their fit. The store told me to come in and pickout anything. As a loyal saucony wearer I went with the 6's that had just arrived.
These shoes are great. My long runs are approxamately 7-10 miles and I have no pain what so ever. The extra cushion helped significantly.
