I liked the shoe, I had the first ones and these are a good upgrade, but after the first run my foot hurt a little but after that they were great.

I don't like this update, I went to the local running store and got these to replace my original Rides (500+ miles on them) and thought I would love them. After all, they look great, but they didn't work for me. I started having pains in my feet and hips (how that happened I don't know) but I am thinking it was because of the heel lift. The heel was too high for my liking. Anyway, its a very comfortable shoe, it just didn't work for me.

Bought them last night at RoadRunner in Tempe and just finished running the longest distance in my life: 13.28 miles in 2:03:10! I don't want a shoe that compensates for poor running technique and the Progrid Ride 2 doesn't try to. There's no arch support, which allows your own arches to provide the spring you need for efficient running. The shoe is flat -without a built up heel- so it doesn't get in the way of the mid-foot landing you need to absorb shock and reduce the risk of injury. My other favorite running shoe in the Nike Free, which is about as close as you can get to barefoot running. While the Free works for my middle distance runs, it doesn't have enough cushioning for long distance runs on concrete. I can't say that the Progrid will work for everyone but it works for me.

Traditional Saucony fit and feel. Very cushioned but also responsive. I've put 160 miles on my pair so far and they actually seem more comfortable than when they were new. I'm 5'9" and 185lbs. Longest run in them was a half marathon and I had zero problems.

1st time I have purchased the Ride. Wore it twice on shorter runs then wore them on a 15 miler. very comfortable. I am a very nuetral strider, so I don't like a real stiff shoe. This one suits me to a T. will be ordering my second pair shortly

I am a Saucony Ride enthusiest. I have use the original Ride since they were introduced. I purchased the Ride 2 with enthusiasm. Compared to other brands it's the best in production. Compared to the original Ride it was disappointing. If you want more cushion and a slightly stiffer shoe, you will love the Ride 2. If like me you love the near racing flat feel of the original you will sit confused as to why Saucony changed the perfect balance of cusion and feel for the road that the original has. I will sadly buy the Ride 2 again when I can no longer find the original in my size.

Very nice update to the original Ride. In my opinion, the cushioning may even be a little better in this shoe as compared to the original.

Great shoe. In my opinion, this version is much better than the original Ride. This shoe has great cushioning and a very comfortable fit. I highly recommend it!

Awesome shoe. I ran with Asiacs for years. Local running store turned me on to Saucony and I haven't looked back. I do between 30 and 35 per week with a long run of 12 to 15. Did a long run with these shoes after 2 5 mile runs and had zero issues. very comfortable. I am about to buy another pair and will rotate. highly recommended

After 100 miles on these shoes they are still holding up fairy well. Very Neutral "Which I like", one of the air pockets has broken in the heel, I can't feel it but I can hear it every time I take a step while I'm walking. I don't hear this running. Shoe looks like it will hold up fairy well for at least another 250-300 miles. Cushioning is great, fit feels good.

I don't like the update, I feel like the heel got jacked up a half inch. Too soft. I hope after a 100 miles they start to feel better.

Saucony ProGrid Ride 2: This version is much better than the one before it. The size is more accurate, I do not have to go up to a "to-long next-size-up" for a proper fit. Even if it does not last very long, the journey will be worth the $ 95.00. But Wait ! find another pair in a year at some discount place after version 3 comes out, for $ 59.00, eh? A perfect shoe for me, with a little Yankee heritage with at least some money coming back to the U.S.A. Frank
