Good shoe overall, very heavy and clunky, but great for long easy runs. Excellent cushioning and stability. Did wear them for a speed workout and felt like I was wearing bricks - my own fault though.

Great cushion and very stable. 5'10" and 175. A bit narrower in the toe box than I'm used to from Saucony. Would prefer a little more room and they would be perfect.

I was a big NB fan, until after wearing the 1223 and 1224 I started to develop terrible achilles pain. I switched to these and the Brooks Trance 9. These shoes are extremely comfortable and plush. I was also very happy to get them in a wider width too. My only complaint is now the left shoe's arch squeaks. Although it has made me the brunt of a few jokes, I'd still never trade these in. Great shoes all around.

I've used the the new balance 725 and 827, and switched to Saucony because of the brand... Didn't regret to run on Sauconys at all! the fit's great and it feels really stable!

I moved to Saucony with the Hurricane 7 years ago after being a big Asics fan. The 10 was a bit of a letdown, but the 11 is the best yet! Great fit and cushioning. Colors are good, too!

Great shoe! I've worn the Hurricanes for years. I really liked the 9's, but the 10's did not work for me at all. These are extremely comfortable with good cushioning and support.

Almost perfect........Totally agree with what Jeff posted on Sept 09 . U can't stop raving about the shoe in the first few runs.. Mind you , technically this shoe has no issues. But slowly the narrowness of the shoe starts killing the long runs. Why can't Saucony make this shoe wider. They will nail the category of Stability / Stability + shoes.

Wed, September 09,2009:
Nice shoe at first but after a few runs in them it became very apparent that this shoe is very narrow, especially in the toe box. Narrow to the point where it actually becomes painful. Buyer beware as it seems to affect some but not all.

I love these shoes, usually i run in nikes or brooks and i was planning on buying the trance 9 when they came out but these shoes provide me with alot more arch heel cushioning and stability than the brooks or the nikes. i ran 40 miles this week in and at first it felt weird but then i had no pain on my arch heel nor pain on feet at all running 10 miles on the 3rd day. If you are the kind of runner that wears stability+ but need a little more cushion on the heels then this good shoe for you.

Tue, August 18,2009:
Loved the 10s. While the padding is nice, they have moved the arch back slightly (Sauciny quote) and now I have arch blisters after long runs. They are narrow and tight. Cannot wear a thicker running shoe.

Fri, July 10,2009:
I've been trying to make these work, but unfortunately it just isn't happening. Cushioning, stability, and structure are all good. But, let me warn you these run very narrow and very shallow. I cannot use inserts other than the default sock liner because anything else adds too much elevation, which the shoe does not remotely tolerate. Even when very loosely laced, the tops of my feet cry out in pain as if they were laced as tight as humanly possible. Since they are so narrow, my toes are jammed together and the upper outside of the toe box has started to roll out over the edge of the sole. It's just too bad these types of problems don't manifest until you've had the shoes on for 15 minutes or so. After that, they are torture...literally. Back to the store I go!

I'm always a bit concerned when I see a favorite shoe being replaced by a newer model. Before these I had Hurricane 10's (that I still use) and the 10s are by far the best shoes I've ever owned. The only issue I have with the 10s is that they are a bit narrow in the heel. I read a review that said that the 11s had less of a "slipper like" feel than the 10's. So while I could have picked up another pair of 10s for a significant discount I decided to take the risk and try the 11s. Oh MY! I've had them for a couple weeks and they are actually better than the 10s. The reviewer that said that they felt less slipper like was spot on. So the 11's remove the only issue I had with the 10s. Makes them pretty much a perfect shoe for me. I'm 6'1" and 240 and these shoes provide so much cushion and stability that I find it hard the believe that they could be improved upon. I also need a wide shoe - so thankfully Saucony offers these in wide. In the last 5 or so years that I've been ru

Great ride! Very comfortable and stable shoe for my frame: 6 ft - 215 lbs. Haven't felt this good in a running shoe in some time.

I was and am still a fan of the 10, but this one exceeds it. Still excellent stability but a bit more cushioning and a better more conforming fit. A little heavier but still not too much to take away from the improvements.

Great ride. Very comfortable. Much better than the 10, not as klunky as the 9.

Outstanding! Only minor changes needed for me to make it unbeatable...A tad more room in the toe box and a higher/longer tongue...Like I said the ride is awesome!

I wanted to find an additional shoe that I could alternate with my Kayano 15. I tried many as well as the Huricane X (not enough cushion or support for me, I'm 6'/180)and was told to wait for the Xl...Love them! Much improved in my opinion, with more cushioning and stability. I would put them right up with the Kayano 15. A great every other run exchange between the two.

Sun, May 24,2009:
OK, I just don't get it. Why do shoe makers screw up really nice designs? I have run 3 marathons in the Saucony X. I have a high instep which makes it really difficult to find a nice full fit. I am also a heavy runner so I really am loyal once I find a shoe that works. So when I heard that the update of the Hurricane X to the XI was a minimal change I was very happy - except that when I bought them that assessment is highly inaccurate. I have found that the toe box is not as roomy, the heel redesign is very different and the overall fit is just not as comfortable. I am going to buy as many X's as I can find!!

Hurricane 9's were the only shoe that has ever fit me like a shoe should..Had 4 pairs. When I ran out of places to buy the 9's I jumped into the 11's. Not quite as firm in the heal, and a little more flexible overall, but they feel good, breathe well and have enough cushion to let me run 2 days in a row as a 44 yr old. Behingd the 9's this is the 2nd best shoe I have worn.

I'm 6'2", 240, and have worn Hurricanes since the 7. I really like this one. It doesn't have that "slipper"-like (narrow) feeling of the 10. It feels more supportive, and cushion-y. If you like the old fit, and the old hurricanes, you'll like this one. No need to size down, like the 10.

I've only done one short run but tne 11 has much improved cushioning with great energy return. The forefoot fit feels slightly better too. VERY smooth and almost silent ride. The arch lock is a bit more comfy as well.
