Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Triumph 7 Running Shoe: I feel compelled to write a review on these shoes because of how well they performed during my last marathon. I recently ran the Los Angeles Marathon under the worst climate conditions any runner can possibly expect. A torrential rain came down on all of us before the race had even started and the rain did not stop for the rest of the day. My shoes got soaked wet from the very start but they did not lose any of their cushioning, traction or support during the race. The rain came down so hard at times that it created ankle-deep puddles and rivers of water along the way. I ran through them and these shoes did not become untied, not even once. After the race,I removed my shoes and socks and was surprised to see that I had not developed a single blister on my feet. I have been running marathons for 13 years and I have never used a pair of shoes that are so well built and comfortable such as these. They performed great during my training runs and they surpassed my expectations during the actual marathon. I haven't tried the Triumph 8 yet but when I do, I hope that they are just as great as these. I started using Saucony shoes about 4 years ago because their shoes are well designed and built with good quality materials.

Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Triumph 7 Running Shoe: After using this shoe's predecessor, sometimes an upgrade isn't a good thing. I have only been using these shoes for a few weeks now, but they do not have the fit I was expecting. From the Triumph 5, this shoe is seemingly much narrower. Still a good shoe, but not the great shoe I was expecting.

Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Triumph 7 Running Shoe: Great shoe especially if you don't have wide feet and an average arch. D size is more like a C

Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Triumph 7 Running Shoe: This has been my go to shoe(actually the 5 & 6, but these seem fine as well). Out of the box for a 20 mile run. No blisters or other problems.

Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Triumph 7 Running Shoe: This is my fourth pair of Progrid Triumphs. I am 5' 8" and have gone from 184 to the low 170's running in these shoes. Just tried the Progrid 7's today and loved them so much, I ordered a second pair! I have gotten 500 miles out of every pair of Progrid's so far, and I am sure this shoe will hold up as well as thier predecessors.
Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Triumph 7 Running Shoe: Trained for marathons, and went though about 6 pairs of the 6's. I looked forward to the 7's coming out, but I am displeased. The fitting of the shoe is completely different as indicated by every other review I have seen. the arch lock of the shoe definitey does its job, but is much more narrow than the 6's I have developed pain on the top of my tarsals and meta-tarsals on my right foot from the pressure. Also if you look at the sole of the 7's it is a solid piece where as in the 6's there is a gap between the forefoot and the heel of the shoe. This added section has increased the weight of the shoe and decreased the flexibily of the shoe. I am more of a forefoot stiker and the decrease in flexibility creates a more solid impact on the forefoot and less of a roll. At this point I will have to look for another shoe to keep on logging my miles. Hopefull Saucony will see the light and Go back to a model that is similar to the Triumph 6. Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Triumph 7 Running Shoe: I have been training for a marathon on the 6's and loved them. This was not a good update for me. They are more narrow with a bigger toe box so for a size 13 they were just not a fit. The cushioning got even better on the 7's, but i cannot wear them. Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Triumph 7 Running Shoe: Saucony must have changed their sizing because there is significantly less room in the toe vs. the 3, 4, 5, & 6. Also, the shoe is heavier and stiffer. Wore them for a week and went back to the old 6's (a great shoe). After several years with this series, will have to check out other brands. Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Triumph 7 Running Shoe: great shoe..my first saucony and i love them.it did feel a bit heavy in the hand but i must say on the foot it is perfect.i really like the cushioning...its not to soft like some of the other shoes. Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Triumph 7 Running Shoe: I have to defend my favorite shoe. the Triumph 5 was HORRIBLE. The 6 is my favorite. The Triumph 7 is sligtly narrow, so try the 2E width. I like the slightly stiffer ride. Pros Cons Best Uses
Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Triumph 7 Running Shoe: I had a problem with my one ankle getting very sore and painful while running. Doctor recommended this shoe with an insert (I use superfeet) and I have had no problems now for over two years. I used to run in the Hurricane.

Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Triumph 7 Running Shoe: Saucony got every thing right, but the tread. Great support, cushioning, breathable, all around awesome trainer. Thought this shoe could be "the one." But, the black tread on the heals wore down to the red cushioning at 120 miles. I'm not even a major heal striker either. I had these shoes for 26 days before I replaced them with another pair of training shoes. Too, bad.

Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Triumph 7 Running Shoe: I run almost every day at least 3 miles and these shoes have been great, very comfortable, fit great and good cushioning. I haven't found anything wrong with them yet

Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Triumph 7 Running Shoe: Regular Saucony wearers (high arch, narrow heel types) should love this shoe. Has more forefoot cushioning than the Ride 2. You'll need to double-knot the laces, but that's all I can come up with. I hope the Triumph 8 is this good, as I'm on my second pair of 7s.
Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Triumph 7 Running Shoe: I have run on the Progrid Triumph since version 4 or 5. Although this shoe is narrower than previous versions it still fits me well. After 30 miles I'm happy with the shoe. As a heavier runner (230) this shoe supports me well.

Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Triumph 7 Running Shoe: Recently changed from running as a heal striker to landing on the balls of my feet and these shoes are great, good support and cushioning, I run 61/2 miles each day six days a week. I'm pleased so far.

Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Triumph 7 Running Shoe: I'm 6'2", 205lbs and I wear custom orthotics. I'm a big fan of this shoe. The fit is much better than the Triumph 6. I've tried almost every running shoe out there and this one works for me.

Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Triumph 7 Running Shoe: I use these shoes 4 times a week for about 1 h. They are just great. I moved from my old Triumph 5 to the 7, and they are even better than the 5 I loved so much.

Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Triumph 7 Running Shoe: 10 years ago I developed heel pain. Since then I have been running in Triumphs. RRS recommended Triumphs because they are high cushion and promote a quality heel to toe roll without a significant toe break. Triumph 2s were great. Used 2, 3, 4 and went back to 2s because I liked them better than 4s. But now I have a new favorite, these 7s are terrific. Though they are cushioned, the heel is strong and stable with a gentle roll to the toe. Add Superfeet inserts and heel pain will be gone forever. Speed runners with no heel pain may prefer a quicker toe break but to keep heel pain away Triumph 7s are the best.

Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Triumph 7 Running Shoe: Another great product by Saucony. Saucony continues to put out a product that can go from box to a 10-miler without any/little break-in. If Saucony continues to field shoes like this one, I'll continue to buy them.

Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Triumph 7 Running Shoe: [...] recommended these to me for arch support because I was starting to have pain in my right arch and feared that it would be a long term problem. Well, she was right and the added support for my high arches has proven to do the trick and the pain is no more. Good cushioning, fairly light and comfortable. I also have a narrow foot and the fit is great.

Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Triumph 7 Running Shoe: My initial impression was not good, and I almost sent them back; it felt tight/narrow, and a little stiff. That all changed on my first run; the narrowness did not bother me at all and it had great balance between cushion and rebound. I will definitely consider these for my next running shoe purchase.

Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Triumph 7 Running Shoe: This is a comfortable neutral-plus shoe that is fairly well balanced: not too springy but not too soft either. I find it runs narrower than most shoes and is less well-ventilated than my Mizunos, but otherwise I was happy with it.

Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Triumph 7 Running Shoe: I have a wide foot and a narrow heal. I've been described as having a "Saucony Foot" by a footwear salesman. This shoe runs small so size up 1. I normally take a 13 wide but the 14 medium fits perfectly. I chose "feels true to size" because it fits as I expected but it does run small. This is my 5th Triumph model out of the 7 versions and 4 have fit perfectly including the 7. I really like the cushioning and the shoe overall.

Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Triumph 7 Running Shoe: Ran in Saucony Triumphs for years, thought it was time for a change. Tried Nike Vomero 4 and Brooks Defiance. Immediatly got hip pain, right hamstring and heel pain. Changed back to Triumph 7 and am pain free again. When somethings not broken, don't fix it. I learned my lesson !

Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Triumph 7 Running Shoe: I am 180lb runner logging 20-25 miles per week. Loved the Triumph 3's and 4's, hated the 5's and 6's. This 7 is getting closer to the old shoe design. The only complaint is the toe box feels narrow at first. Seems to be stretching after several weeks.
