Women's SAUCONY® PROGRID&trade HURRICANE 12 :: Your favorite long-time cushioned stability shoe, the updated women's Saucony® ProGrid™ Hurricane 12 has better flexibility and even softer cushioning to give you a plushy, cushioned ride run after run. 11.4 ounces
Great update to this shoe! If you're a consistant Hurricane wearer you'll be happy to know that this shoe feels much more like the Hurricane 10 (which was my favorite) than the Hurricane 11. Overall the shoe has great cushioned support without being too hard or soft.

No shoe has come close to my previous favorite, the Hurricane 7, which is no longer made and cannot be found anywhere in the world in my size. The upgraded models since the Hurricane 7 had not worked for me. But, the Saucony ProGrid Hurricane 12 has far surpassed the Hurricane 7. This shoe is by far my favorite running shoe ever! I am an over pronator with wide feet and the arch lock support in a wide width on this model fits me like a glove - even with my orthotics. It is an out of the box, perfect fit! I didn't have to mess with the laces and inserts to make it work for me. In the past I had to size up from a size 9 to size 10 but with this shoe a size 9.5 wide worked and gave me just enough extra toe wiggle room for marathon and long distance running. Being lightweight with additional cushioning makes for an extremely comfortable run. I joked with my running partner the first day I put them on that I felt like I was running on a cloud! Seriously - I was late for our run, pulled them out of the box, quickly put in my inserts with no time to mess around - perfect fit out of the box! On a side note, because it is not a big, bulky shoe, my retired pair looks great with jeans! All around great shoe! Saucony, please do not change a thing.

This shoe rocks!

Finally a shoe for my low volume foot! I have tried so many shoes in the last year & I've finally found something that fits a narrow heel with adequate forefoot space. No crammed toes or sore metatarsals..flexible enough for midfoot running yet stable..I can't speak about it's pronation control as I don't need much. I prefer some stability in my shoes since I am older and injury prone, but this shoes is not stiff or controlling. The heel& midfoot are very low volume so orthotics may not fit. This shoe is a million times better than the 11; please don't mess with this Saucony!! I plan to buy them in black.

These shoes are great!

I bought these shoes while training for my first marathon, about midway through my training. I learned that I over pronate and that I needed a bit more support around my ankles. When I first tried on these shoes I could immediately feel a world of difference as far as comfort and cushioning go. No longer did I feel ankle pains after long runs and the traction seems amazing as well. I had always run on Asics before, but now am a Saucony convert!

WEAR THEM RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX!
5
I WAS ABLE TO WEAR THESE RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX! I AM NOT A RUNNER, BUT WEAR THEM EVERY DAY TO THE GYM AND USUALLY THE REST OF THE DAY AS I RUN ERRANDS AND RUN AFTER MY GRANDCHILDREN! I HAVE HAD TROUBLE WITH PLANTAR FASCIITIS AND THESE SHOES OFFER GREAT SUPPORT WITHOUT AGGRAVATING THIS CONDITION. I HAVE BEEN WEARING HURRICANES SINCE THE 4 OR 5 SERIES AND THESE ARE A FAVORITE. THEY ARE SO LIGHT ON YOUR FEET YOU FORGET THEY ARE THERE! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!

I have owned multiple versions of this model, I have been happy with this latest version of the Hurricane 12. I have back issues, so I need the cushioning and the stability. I have been able to put the shoes on and go right out the door for a 6-7 mile run with little or no breaking in time. I also wear these on longer runs. The biggest con with any hurricane is life of the shoe - although I do put a lot of mileage on my shoes, they tend to wear out in approx. 3 months.

I am a personal trainer and have recommended the Hurricanes to my clients. I have been wearing them for years and have stocked up on the Hurricane 7 as none of the newer ones fit as well until NOW with the Hurricane 12. It is absolutely perfect in every way! Cushion and stability over all surfaces! Wow!I wear an orthodontic in them as I have low arches, so I need a 1/2 size larger. I have bought several pairs to rotate. I look forward to running in them every time!

I've been asked many times, where I purchased this shoe and how I liked it. I am in the airline industry and needed a black shoe with many features for rigurous outside work. I have put this shoe to the test and it is still standing with much more use left. I have no doubt it would be a suitable shoe for trailrunning as well.

Finally!

Used to only run in Hurricane 7 because I liked the more narrow toebox. When it went away I tried others but was always disappointed (asics hurt my ankles, mizuno caused hip pain, etc). Glad the Hurricane 12 is back to the more narrow toebox (note that it is not AS narrow, but better than other Hurricanes) and a color other than that yellow Hurricane 7! Thanks Saucony for FINALLY coming back!

I have always loved the fit of Saucony running shoes. The roomier toe box allows for comfortable running, particularly as distances increase. I don't much care for the insert and usually replace with Sorbethane (sp?) insoles. Once that is done, it becomes the perfect shoe for my purposes as a recreational, slightly large runner.

I run on the treadmill out of necessity, but on the road whenever I can. I love this shoe. I was starting to feel some aches, and less enthused about my runs. I bought these shoes and they clearly are amazing. They cushion, they stabilize, but they aren't too heavy. You can accurately tighten the laces and have a snug, secure, but comfortable fit. I highly recommend.

I am training for the 3 day walk for the cure and these shoes are comfortable even on the long training walks. I use custom insoles so I can't speak to the arch support but the cushioning and pronation support is excellent. I wish the toe box was slightly wider but my toes are comfortable even on 90 degree days after 3 hours of walking.

I would buy this shoe again

I needed a running shoe that would be better for me, having plantar fasciitis in my heel. I bought the Saucony Hurricaine and the Brooks Trance, both of which are fantastic. I get the stability and cushioning I need as a runner who is 5'10" and fluctuates between 150-165lbs.

I've been wearing Hurricanes for 8-10 years now. I've mixed it up here and there with Asics Kayanos and a Brooks shoe but I always, always, inevitably return to the Saucony Hurricane. THIS version, the 12 IS A KEEPER! One of the best versions in the last few years. Keeps me comfy and injury free.

I have run 11 marathons, many half marathons and done some triathlons with this shoe-- I've strayed once or twice to try something new and always regretted it. I've always come back to the Hurricane for it's comfort, support, and durability. This is the only shoe out there for me!

Wish They Kept Hurricane12 like the 11..

I am addicted to the Hurricane. Unfortunately, I got a pair where the right shoe was defective on top. The top rubbed and caused pain. I chose to go back into the Hurricane 11 before upgrading to the 12. Sometimes I wish they would stop upgrading shoes and keep them the same.

I'm an avid runner - I run 60-75 miles/week. These are extremely comfortable, supportive shoes that last. I started wearing Saucony over a year ago and have found them to be an excellent shoe.

This was the first shoe I tried on, and after trying on every other stability + I always came back to this one. It's like walking on air, and the support is amazing.

I run about 20 miles a week, and have bad plantar fascitis and these are great with my orthotic inserts. I need a wide toe box and these are perfect. I have owned about 5 pairs.

Running in this since the discontinuation of grid stabil. Ideal for over-pronator, longer distance runner. Wide toe-box and narrower heel. Everytime I stray I always come back!

I have plantar fasciitis and this shoe has the cushion and support that I need for my heel. I'd like to buy another pair to trade off instead of my Asics.

Have been buying Hurricanes for quite a few years. For the first time my heal wiggles around in the shoe. I have never had that happen with this shoe before, but other than that they are still good shoes that I will continue to buy and use (hopefully frequently).

I originally ordered a Medium width in this shoe; but since I have toe "issues" I exchanged them for a "wide" because my toes need more room. So far this shoe is everything I need in a running shoe. It's comfortable, breathable, offers support for my mild pronating, and performs well overall. So far, I do not have anything negative to say about this shoe and am looking forward to running comfortably :-)
