Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Kinvara 2 Running Shoe: I'm new to Pose running and wanted a minimalist shoe to assist with mid-foot strike. This shoe fits like a glove and provides me improvement for Pose form over my Asics Gel Cumulus -- gets that heel out of there and provides good & comfortable road impact feel for training.

Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Kinvara 2 Running Shoe: The Kinvara 2 improves on the Kinvara 1. In the Kinvara 1, my feet would feel a little worn and my big toe would get raw when the running distance got over the half-marathon mark. The Kinvara 2 by comparison is amazing. My first run in them was 16 miles, and no discomfort at all. The toe box of the K2 has had the widest part extended forward a bit, and what a wonderful improvement this has made. The cushioning of the K2 seems better (less bounce but smoother) than the K1. Overall, the K1 was okay, but the K2 is great. I'm 5'6" and 140 lbs with a mid-foot strike. I've been running for 34 years, and this is the first time I've felt compelled to write a review of a running shoe.

Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Kinvara 2 Running Shoe: This shoe is painfully close to the perfect shoe for me. Just too narrow. Not so narrow that I can't wear it, but I can't take it on long runs. And, that is what I really want this shoe to do.

Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Kinvara 2 Running Shoe: Love the shoe for its low heal to toe profile, lightness and minimal support. Helped clear up some shin-splints and were the perfect shoe for marathon training and marathon running. Definitely buy 1/2 size up.

Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Kinvara 2 Running Shoe: I have been transitioning from Heel Strike to mid foot strike for about the past 1 1/2. I had heard about the Kinvara's and gave them a try. Being a "seasoned" runner (read old guy), i kind of viewed them as a modern version of racing flats and was scared to use them (K-1) beyond a 10K. However a trusted advisor told me he had used them for up through a half so I used them for a 10 mile race then a 1/2 marathon with great results. I thought what the heck and started training in them for a marathon. Zero problems on training runs up to 23 miles nor in the marathon itself. I do get a touch of tightness in my achilles, but I think that is more my physical makeup than the shoe. Bought the K-2's and love them even more than the K-1. Great job Saucony!!!!

Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Kinvara 2 Running Shoe: These shoes are great! I first tried the white pair and loved them so I figured I'd buy the orange pair as well.

Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Kinvara 2 Running Shoe: One of the best running shoes I've ever experienced. Just ran 8 miler with these shoes right out of the box. Felt fantastic. These K-2s were to temporarily replace my K-1's that I am returning to Saucony for a replacement shoe because of a tear in the upper. I've had the K-1's for 7 months, and I loved those shoes. But for as good as those shoes felt, these K-2s feel that much better. Same light shoe, but these feel more secure and supportive in the upper. I am thrilled with this shoe and with Saucony in general. The K-2 surely will be my primary road shoe. Sizing note: I typically wear a 9.5 D shoe but, following a recommendation, bought the Sauconys in a 10. That definitely was the right decision.

Cons Best Uses Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Kinvara 2 Running Shoe: Developed shin splints after wearing these and had to go back to my old running shoes. Bottom line was that after scratching my head for weeks after the injury, my wife finally convinced me that my shoes could be the culprit. Unfortunately, I should have done better research and used Road Runner sports to determine my ideal shoe. I am over 180 lbs and this shoe is just too lightweight. It does feel great and padded and I will continue to wear it as a walking shoe.

Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Kinvara 2 Running Shoe: I transitioning from Asics 2160 to Asics Gel Excel 33 and the Kinvara 2. I just bought two more pair so I am stocked up. My plan is transition to this being my standard shoe for running. It's reduced my heel striking on the left foot. I have a pair relegated for just "walking around" and others for running.

Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Kinvara 2 Running Shoe: Used to be an Asics diehard but these converted me. Can't say enough good about this shoe. The low heel-toe drop feels much more natural and gives a better feel for the road. Add to that cushioning and light weight and you can't go wrong. My only criticism is they don't last as long as other shoes but that doesn't bother me.

Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Kinvara 2 Running Shoe: A better feel than I'm accustomed to with mizuno prescion. Light than expected but no adverse feel after first week. Good for neutral runner, and probably best for lighter runner. Can feel diminished medial/lateral support so also probably best for predictable roads. I love the feel for the road that I get and after the first week, really love this shoe.

Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Kinvara 2 Running Shoe: Finally found a shoe that doesn't hurt my left foot. These are awesome! Just finished a 9 mile training run in them & couldn't be happier. Now I can get down and run without foot pain. Finally!!

Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Kinvara 2 Running Shoe: Have had 3 pairs of Kinvara 1's and 4 pairs of Kinvara 2's, put about 700-900 miles on each of them. No shoe has ever treated me better. Has strengthened my feet more and promoted a great light and quick footstrike. A very flexible shoe, I use it in all types of training.

Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Kinvara 2 Running Shoe: 20-25 mile / week indoor/road. Outstanding lightweight trainer and racer but developed a hole in the upper above the fifth toe area after 3 months which will probably need duct tape in another month or two. Despite this I would consider this the best shoe in over 25 years of running and would give it a 5 if It were more durable. I bought a second pair on sale and hope that Saucony will update with a more enduring fabric.

Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Kinvara 2 Running Shoe: I'm a fairly low-mileage runner, and not a racer; but I've always run in light-weight stability or performance stability shoes (ASICS DS-Trainers, for example). As I've changed to more midfoot running, I thought I'd try a more minimalist shoe. ASICS doesn't make one. So I turned to Saucony. This shoe really fits the bill perfectly. It has a really snug (in a good sense) and well-designed upper, very flexible forefoot and enough cushioning in the relatively low-profile heel to give you a comfortable ride. It is a bit short (I've always worn a 9D ASICS, and these are a bit snug on my toes); but I wear Wrightsox coolmesh, so they still work fine, and you do get great control in the forefoot with the snug fit. The toe box is definitely wide enough. It's possible that a 9.5D might work, too; but these are fine. A very well thought out shoe. And there is definitely a little arch support, so I have no pronation issues at all with these.

Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Kinvara 2 Running Shoe: I'm not completely sold on the minimalist craze as I don't think that it's "natural" to run on pavement so these shoes were an ideal compromise, where I could focus on eliminating my natural heel-striking while still enjoying lightweight cushioning. As such, these shoes are ideal for both training and racing. As others have mentioned, they are cut at least a 1/2 size too small - had to return the first pair I received but the replacements fit perfectly! I absolutely love these and plan to purchase extras!

Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Kinvara 2 Running Shoe: I normally use my Kinvara 2s when I race, but I also do speed work and shorter distance training (5k) especially on tracks with them. The best part about the Kinvara 2 is that they are flexible and easy to wear. It takes some shoes a long time to get broken into, but it took no time at all with these.

Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Kinvara 2 Running Shoe: Great light affordable shoe, comparable to Newtons. Minimal shoe without a lot of cushion, so if you like a lot of cushion, these won't be for you. Sizing was true for me(size 8) I run sockless all the time and have had no issues from day one with these cutting or blistering my feet. Ran in Mizuno precisions before, but could not run sockless without some painful bleeding at times, due to construction of upper.

Comments about Mens Saucony ProGrid Kinvara 2 Running Shoe: This was my first pair of minimalist shoes. They were far more comfortable and cushioned than I would have expected for a minimal shoe. I currently have 400 miles in my pair and they still perform great. My only complaint is that the outer layer of mesh on the uppers begins to tear over time. It started with a few micro tears and slowly progressed to several larger tears. This does not affect performance as the tears are only on the mesh outer layer which really only serves a cosmetic purpose. I would reccommend this shoe to anyone looking for a lighter, thinner, more minimal shoe.
