A GORun Believer

These shoes are absolutely fantastic! I run around 60-75 miles a week and the GORuns have become my go-to shoes for EVERY training run and race (5k, 10k, half and full marathons). To date I've run 5 marathons, 2 halfies, a 10 miler, a 10k and a handful of 5k's in the GORuns. They're responsive, lightweight and most of all prevent that lazy feeling late in runs where all you want to do is heel strike your way back home. Prior to running in the GORuns I was an avid Adidas supporter, and specifically the Adios. But, I wanted a shoe that was a bit more flexible as the Adios can feel a tad rigid. The GORun has been the perfect solution. I promise you won't be disappointed with making the transition to the GORun. Above all they promote more of a natural midfoot to toe strike, which means you spend less time on each footplant and get off to the next stride much quicker. This is hands down the most efficient running shoe I've owned to date! Additionally, I've put 500+ miles on a pair and they aren't showing any signs of wear and still offer the same level of support as they did right out of the box. With my previous Adidas Adios' I could only put around 250-300 miles max on them before the sole started to deteriorate. At a cost savings of $30 and a lifespan twice that of the Adidas Adios the GORun has been a no-brainer. Apologies for the wordy write-up, but I hope this helps in making your decision to switch to the GORun a little easier.

Weird, but in a good way.

I am 5"7", 153 lbs, sometime marathoner, 20 mpw in the Miami summers, more when it cools off. I have always been a mid-foot striker, I'm a Chi runner, and have loved all the Nike Vomeros. I have been battling heel/ankle pain for about a year and gambled on these shoes after loving the original Nike Free Runs. The shoe exerts pressure just behind the peak of one's arch, just about where plantar fasciitis hurts. It seems to take the brunt of the foot strike and almost "tricks' your foot into feeling like you're running down hill. As a guy who could never run in shoes without a significant amount of cushioning under the ball of the foot it is amazing that I find these super light flats so comfy. The best part? While I still have pain the first few steps out of bed in the AM, I no longer have the pain at 1-2 miles that felt like my heel bone was going to snap. My foot strike is much quieter so they must fit my running style. Worth a try if you like minimalist shoes; I'm a believer!

Good lightweight shoe

I mostly use the Gorun for my tempo or interval training runs. It is very lightweight and has a unique feeling with the midsole. I like the feeling of some cushioning under my midfoot but without the built up heel. The upper is awesome. There is no pinching or extraneous support devices. It's super soft and comfortable and can be worn sockless with no problem. The longest I've run in the Gorun is 13 miles. I'm hoping to go farther at some point, just may take some time. The other shoes in my rotation include the Kinvara 3 and NB 890v2.

I am 6'2", 200#. I transitioned into these from the Brooks Beast in just one week! Plantar facsitis went away in days, it was unbelievable. I run 25-30 miles per week and use them as my main trainer on runs up to 13 miles without any problems. I still can't believe I am running so well in something so featherweight. After hearing my story, my running buddies don't laugh anymore about the Skechers brand.
