Comments about Salomon XT Wings S-Lab 4 Trail Running Shoe:

Amazing shoe but runs too small. I bought the same size as my Salomon Crossmax Guidance, but the shoe was still 1/4 size too short. After a 13.1 trail race my toes were bruised at the ends from downhill. The shoe fits like a glove otherwise. Much softer for downhill impacts and very light for racing, this shoe is one of the best. The only other one I have found close is the Scott Grip2.

Comments about Salomon XT Wings S-Lab 4 Trail Running Shoe:

Out of the box I hated these shoes. But after using them to just walk around in they broke in and have now be come a very good hard core trail running shoe! It was too narrow and I had to loose the string pull laces in order to get a more custom fit at the balls of my feet. It could use a bit more cushing in the fore foot.

These shoes are rock solid on the worst of trails. I use them exclusivly on wilderness trail runs. They cling to the rocks dry or wet and do very well in scree conditions with minimal slippage. I don't get a ton of dirt in the shoe either due to heel design. For pavement running I would not recommend.

LADIES- these shoes are unisexed so take note that they are a D width although still a bit narrow. I have very wide feet and wear orthotics hence the "break in" period.
