I live in Minnesota and I run outside all through the winter. When I was younger, I never had problems with cold feet, but nowadays I can feel the icy wind coming right through the mesh on my DS Trainers. At first I tried duct tape, with varying success. Then I found these Stormsocks. WOW! No more cold feet. Plus, they protect my ankles and lower legs when the snow is more than ankle-high, and keep my feet dry when the temps get above freezing and turn the snow to ankle-deep slush. I'm buying more! Comments about Seirus Stormsock Sock: Received these as a gift, not expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. I wear them over a ski sock and have not had cold feet on a run since. Including 12 miler in single digit temps. Will take them on my next ski trip also. Comments about Seirus Stormsock Sock: I am rating these based on size as it has not been cold enough to wear them. I ordered a medium as that was the only size available and it was too tight. I could get them on but my toes were too snug, can't imagine wearing them. I am a woman's size 10 so would definitely need a size large in the socks. I will be returning them sadly, as I was hoping these would be great in our Maine winters. Comments about Seirus Stormsock Sock: After 2 uses, all the seams leaked(length of foot, heel.... These do not stretch and until mile 2 or so feel very tight. Comments about Seirus Stormsock Sock: I was a little worried at first, because I ordered the suggested size, and the socks were a tight fit and seemed kind of thin. However, upon wearing them, they felt great, and my feet were completely dry on a 1:30:00 run in snow and slush. I wore a thin sock over them because I was afraid my feet would be cold, but I was fine. I'm glad these worked out, since they were kind of expensive, but now I see that they're worth it. Comments about Seirus Stormsock Sock: I wore these socks while cycling in cold temps, and they felt great. Pros

Comments about Seirus Stormsock Sock: Went on a run with it snowing out and was 20 degrees out. My feet were never cold and were dry!!

Comments about Seirus Stormsock Sock: I bought these socks for cool/cold weather cycling. I decided to splurge because they were on sale. I was surprised at how thin they were, and was dubious that they would be warm enough, but they were. They would be especially good for close fitting footwear, but I didn't need them for that reason. I also tried running in them on cold rainy days. They really did keep my feet dry when I ran on wet ground and through small puddles. I didn't run through any deep puddles. Other reviews indicated that they were hard to get on/off, and this was true, but it got easier after a few times. Overall, the socks were surprisingly good, but not a breakthrough revelation.

Comments about Seirus Stormsock Sock: These are the only socks I wear for long winter runs - when the temps drop below 30 degrees. They fit perfectly which is remarkable as I have small feet (women's size 5.5). They keep my toes warm--important as I have gone on several runs when the temps have beeen b/t 3 and 7 degrees. They keep my feet dryer than regular socks--but when I run in slushy snow--I wear these socks plus my neoprene toe warmers--and my feet remain dry and warm! I went out for a 3 hour run after a wet, sloppy snow--my shoes were soaked but my toes remained perfectly dry and toasty. i highly reommend these socks.

Comments about Seirus Stormsock Sock: I wear for outdoor running in the Northeast. They keep the wind and most water off of feet. They work great. The only con is they are a little hard to actually put on and take off. Worth the effort for a warm run.

Comments about Seirus Stormsock Sock: I have circulation issues and found these 3 or 4 years ago. I wear them in the winter with a thin running sock on top, to keep my feet from slipping inside my shoes. They keep me warm and mostly dry. I wear them daily and they still have held up for the time I've owned them. They take time to get on, but it is worth it!

Comments about Seirus Stormsock Sock: Socks preformed like a champ in my 5K race today. Actually kept me warm as my toes are frost bitten and get cold easy. Ran in 35 degree rain/snow mix and did not get cold. Everyone else was wet and had cold feet but me! Hurray! Socks are hard to get on and off due to material and not having much elasticity but did the job flawlessly. I will give them a 1/2 marathon test on January 16, 2011.

Comments about Seirus Stormsock Sock: Two reasons why I gave this product 3 stars rather than 5: Comments about Seirus Stormsock Sock: Just received these as a holiday gift. Was very excited, as I've wanted waterproof socks for a while now. Very disappointed that with the first puddle I ran through last night, water immediately soaked through the bottom/toe area in both socks. These are NOT waterproof. They may be water resistant (doubtful even about that) and certainly seem like they'd offer good wind resistance. Maybe my pair is defective, but I don't care to hassle with trying more of this brand out. Comments about Seirus Stormsock Sock: I am very happy with these socks, but you have to understand that they work more like a wetsuit than like a drysuit. They do not claim to be waterproof and they clearly are not. That doesn't mean they don't work. With a layer of thin socks underneath, I have found that although my feet do get wet on cold slushy runs in these socks, the socks retain the heat and keep my wet feet warm and comfortable. Comments about Seirus Stormsock Sock: I have worn these stormsock's through two winter seasons now and I love them. They do require a little extra effort to put them on. However, they must fit snug to work properly. My feet do not get cold or feel wind. I have never had blisters or experienced any problems with them. I am looking forward to my third winter in the Northeast with them, and I am still on my first pair! Comments about Seirus Stormsock Sock: these socks are fantastic - saw me through my first winter of running in Chicago! Comments about Seirus Stormsock Sock: I am only rating this based on the size, since it has not been cold enough for me to try the sock out yet.
