I really need a wide for my bear paw feet and these work. I got used to the support slowly, and agree they can be hard but for me the support works. I have to disagree with the reviewer.

I bought two or three Superfeet inserts and they did not help my plantar at all. Too hard. My two chiropractors (one in Fla one in Mass) did not like them either. My best inserts have been $12 road runner inserts. Even better than three sets of orthotics I have spent $1000 on!!! Go figure.
