I've had PF for 3 months, after a cortisone shot and stretches werent working I tried the Thermoskin. I find it runs one size too big and sometimes you have to readjust the velcro or your big toe hurts. Otherwise this product definitely works. No pain first thing in the morning and throughout the day the pain is less severe than before I used the splint. Definitely worth purchasing. Sometimes I wear it when I'm just watching tv.

This thing isfunny looking but about as close to a miricle cure as you can get!!... PF started in early feb for me and made me miss a race....Between the podietry treatment( cortesone shots, orthotics, stretching, ice) and this bootie, the PF was gone in about 2 .5 months. It really was not long before I could start logging 30 miles a week again. Its now been abbout seven months and although I can sometimes feel sensation in the pf area, its not pain or even discomfort, kind of a "shadow PF" i still use the bootie a couple times a week for maintenence ...In short... IT WORKS GREAT!!

I have had PF for about a year and this has helped me a lot, and in only a short period of time. A few comments: I wear 9.5 size shoes and have a wide foot, I ordered the size M and it is too big - the boot is about right (could probably be smaller) but the velcro is too long, but because of the design, the velcro cannot easily be cut to the right size. Also, it is very hot and sweaty at night, and the only way to make it all night is to wear a thin sock. Finally, it does take getting used to - the intructions are right in that you don't have to pull your toe very far back, and only a little bit helps.

Toe pain...This does help with heel pain. However, I find myself taking this off in the middle of the night because it is way too uncomfortable on my big toe on either foot. If I manage to wear it all night, it feels like I've run too far in small shoes where the big toe takes a beating. I've had no previous problems with those toes, only heel related pain.

While it hasn't totally cured my plantar fascia pain, it has been a HUGE help. So much so that I'm buying another one for my left foot.
Yes, it takes some getting used to (about a week for me). But now I feel funny sleeping w/out it.
If you're suffering from this pain, buy the Plantar FXT. Use it religiously, along w/ any other prescribed remedies for your pain, and you'll be running again in no time.

I am so surpised that these funny looking suports actually work! I have been battling Plantar Facitis for months. I had a cortizone injection 20 years ago. I flared up again last year - and thus another shot. Now I am trying to do the stretches the podiatrist taught me and using this foot stretcher at night. The morning after use, my feet still have pain but it was lessened. The 2nd night the pain was less. After about a week of wearing them on both feet my morning pain almost completely gone. I am happily in shock. They only bend your toes/feet slightly, but it begins to make a very significant difference in pain relief after a week of wearing them. I have very pleased with this product. Thank you Road Runner Sports !!

I've had (had being the key word) for nearly a year. Within one week of using this product I was 99% better. No more painful runs, no more painful first steps in the morning. It is a bit uncomfortable at night and I could only keep it on for a few hours each night but that seemed to be plenty. In all fairness, I also ordered the ProTech Athletics Achilles Tendon Strap (PRO002) and used it when I ran. I'm not sure if it was the combination of these products or this one alone, but I'm now cured after just a couple short weeks. And this was after a cortisone injection and lots of stretching didn't work. I was beginning to give up hope of ever being cured, since Plantar can be such a lingering injury, but this is why I felt compelled to leave a review. I'm extremely impressed.

This product worked well for me and was easy to use. The only real problem I saw was that is wasnt very Breathable. My foot really did sweat a lot because of the thick covering on the front end of the sock

I highly recommend this product. I felt relief after the night wearing it. I recommend that you buy 1 size larger than the product insert recommends.

This was well made but at times the plastic buckle on the top would cause pressure if it rested on the opposite leg. I did experience less early morning pain after wearing this sock.
I would recomend this to supplement plantar fascitits treatment. It is overpriced, your Grandma could make one for a lot less.
Physical therapy, stretching, cortizone shots, and custom orthodics may be needed as well as extensive time (up to a year).

After I figured out how to use it, I found this product to be exactly what I needed. At first I tried to pull my foot back too much, but all that is needed is a sight back-pull on the toes to keep the fascia stretched. This kept the foot from going to its normal night-time full flop, and allowed me to start running again in a few days.

Thought this might be more comfortable than the big boot, but it just doesn't work. Toe is in weird position and must be pretty snug around ankle to hold foot flexed. Not really practical for a night.
