I'm too old for the split shorts but I refuse to go for a basketball length short. This short has been perfect for long runs and races with the back pockets. The back zip pocket is perfect for storing keys and cash, etc. Pros

Comments about Mens ASICS 55 Short Unlined Shorts: I really like these shorts....they fit great, and the zipper pocket at the back is great for a key. The gel pockets are great.

Comments about Mens ASICS 55 Short Unlined Shorts: I run about 15 to 20 miles per week for fun. When I run, I generally carry a car key, gel packs, ipod, and sometimes a cell phone for longer runs. The zipper pocket is great for cash, ID, and a key. The other four pockets I use for gel packs, IPOD, and my cell phone. The stretchy pockets are easy to get into and item in the pockets do not bounce around. The brief liner is less supportive compared to my Brook Sherpa III shorts (great shorts too) but the pockets make up for it. The Asics 55 shorts have great freedom of motion and are nonrestrictive. ASICs 55 shorts rock.

Comments about Mens ASICS 55 Short Unlined Shorts: Great shorts if you need pockets while running. I can comfortably carry 6 packets of GU with room to spare.

Comments about Mens ASICS 55 Short Unlined Shorts: Bought for the pockets. Wish they were slightly larger ( for gu , cube packs etc) but still better pocket wise than anything else I've found.

Comments about Mens ASICS 55 Short Unlined Shorts: Excellent short for 5k to marathon. Five pockets are perfect for phone, gels, keys and hold them in snugly. Great freedom of movement. Dries quickly. Durability is a little above average but I ran 50 miles/week in these.

Cons Best Uses Comments about Mens ASICS 55 Short Unlined Shorts: I don't like to carry anything when I run, but I needed shorts for a marathon that could hold 6-8 gel packs without the annoying bouncing against my thighs you get with regular front pockets. These shorts were perfect, with four lightweight mesh pockets across the rear waistband.

Comments about Mens ASICS 55 Short Unlined Shorts: I have been looking for shorts like this. Most are either too short or too long for my taste. These are perfect. Wish they came in more colors.

Comments about Mens ASICS 55 Short Unlined Shorts: Bought these for the side pockets. I love the easy access mesh pockets where I can stash my lip balm, gel, jelly beans, gym card, and even some toilet paper. The zip pocket is perfect for a key or cash. I've done all my marathon training in these with no problems. Will be doing a marathon in these next week.

Comments about Mens ASICS 55 Short Unlined Shorts: Great lightweight shorts and good "support". Air moves through these shorts so well. No chafing at all and very comfortable on long runs. My only gripe is the pockets. There are 5, which is nice, but they are all small pockets, for GU or a credit card. I like at least 1 or 2 larger side pockets to stash some trash and/or cups after passing water stations. I dont finish the water before the trash cans and I hate throwing the cups on the ground. Anyway...besides my nitpicking....amazing shorts. I will be running a marathon in them this weekend.

Comments about Mens ASICS 55 Short Unlined Shorts: These shorts are great - they're breathable, dry quicly and are the perfect length! My only complaint is that the pockets in the back are a little small for running outside and being able to carry key, credit card and ID.

Comments about Mens ASICS 55 Short Unlined Shorts: I use these shorts to run and do a cross fit work out the are to baggy and are not true to the size.
