Comments about Timex Marathon GPS Monitors: I am not good with electronics so have been hesitant to get a GPS, but I had to try this because of the low price and it turned out to be simple to use and very accurate.

Comments about Timex Marathon GPS Monitors: I've owned plenty of non-GPS Timex over the years;so i expected ease of transition...I was wrong. The directions don't even tell you how to turn off the GPS feature after your done running. I wouldn't recommend this watch to anyone.

Comments about Timex Marathon GPS Monitors: My Garmin 305 died and I needed a quick inexpensive replacement. This watch is easy to use and after setting to track by miles it performs as good as my old faithful Garmin. One nice feature is it has a regular watch setting so I can tell the time after a work out. Bought a second one as a backup.

Comments about Timex Marathon GPS Monitors: great product and delivery
Comments about Timex Marathon GPS Monitors: Initially I had the same problem as the first review listed here. The problem wasn't with the watch, but with me. The watch came set up in metric so an 8 mile run would be 12.6 km. Consequently what one is expecting as a 9/mph pace is actually 5.45/kmh. Once I changed it out of the metric mode it was fine. However, it seems slow to find a satellite---3-4 minutes. I have used my cellphone with running apps and never noticed the delay. Maybe that to comes down to just getting used too operating it. Pros Cons
Best Uses Comments about Timex Marathon GPS Monitors: My 8 mile run became a 12.56 mile run. My 9 mile pace became a 5:45. And this is the second watch I am trying. I sent back the first one for the exact same issue. This one is going back as well. Do not waste your money. I will go back to using my old Garmin. It may be old. It may be big. But it works.
