Comments about Timex Ironman Run Trainer 2.0 GPS Speed & Distance Monitors: I train and run half marathons. I am a masters runner and typically run 25-30 miles per week plus plyometrics and core workouts. I am also self-coached and trying to drop my PR by 10 minutes. I use GPS watches to track splits, analyze trends, hit workout goals and so on.

Comments about Timex Ironman Run Trainer 2.0 GPS Speed & Distance Monitors: I've had this watch for over a year now. Got it last year to use for Tri's I was doing, which had I known about the 8 hour battery life I wouldn't have bought. For a watch that's supposed to be "Ironman" watch, you'd think they'd have a better battery life. The GPS Sensors takes several minutes to sync, compared to my other watches which take 1/2 the time. Functionally it's ok. I agree with all the comments about the multiple clicks to get what you need. The only endearing feature is the fact it's waterproof, however the gps doesn't work well in the water.

Best Uses Comments about Timex Ironman Run Trainer 2.0 GPS Speed & Distance Monitors: I jog 60 miles a week,,the vibrate option is great(specially in cold weather when you cant hear alerts)and the night lite is beautiful--- BUT, if you had previous model you are not going to like this watch, auto start/stop hasnt worked at all,the option to start chrono as timer reaches zero is not avail because there is no timer, the altitude reading doesnt show,,just ascend and descend,1 alarm, no odometer, 1 time zone,I still cant get the web app to work,,keep getting a message saying I need to get latest Firm Upgrade even though I downloaded it,I went back to using Run trainer, the previous model

Cons Best Uses Comments about Timex Ironman Run Trainer 2.0 GPS Speed & Distance Monitors: Run Trainer 2.0 is not much bigger than a regular watch. Had the Timex Global Trainer and it was huge compared to this. Applied the latest firmware update before using and have had no problems. HD screen is easy to read, especially to those of us who are a little older. Uploads easy to Map My Run or built in Training Peaks software. Very economical compared to Garmin.......
Comments about Timex Ironman Run Trainer 2.0 GPS Speed & Distance Monitors: Watch arrived DOA, dead on arrival. Would not charge and would not power on. This is a similar experience from another review. I would think twice before purchasing this product. For me, it's back to my Garmin.
Comments about Timex Ironman Run Trainer 2.0 GPS Speed & Distance Monitors: I tried 2 of these watches and the battery would not charge in either of them. Never could get the icon that it was charging and it would not turn on after hours plugged in (yes- the USB port was powered). Timex is obviously having problems with the production of this watch. There are several recent reviews on other sites with the same problem. I would stay away from this until you are sure Timex has fixed the problem. Going back to a Garmin. On the bright side, RRS has been very helpful in dealing with the hassle of getting 2 lemons.

Comments about Timex Ironman Run Trainer 2.0 GPS Speed & Distance Monitors: In regards to the yes no commands. I love this watch, but moving between features and re setting the countdown timer requires many button presses and answering yes no to using sensors and then asking to save your workout every time. I just wish they would do an update where I can just reset the timer after each workout set without all the hassle. Because of this, the watch sits at home until its run time and the ambit comes with me to the gym.
