Comments about Mens UK Gear XC-09 Trail Running Shoe: I've been running in these since June 2009, am now on my third pair, these are still the best trail shoes I have ever worn. Even better than Adidas Supernova, my previous favorite. Not only do I get the tough cushioning I need (I'm 46 now and have two knee surgeries behind me), but the traction is phenomenal. I run on rough trails, in all weather, to include snow, ice, mud, downed tree limbs...I have never slipped once (tripped over rocks in the dark, yes - slipped, no). The Bundeswehr got this one right.

I've been an Adidas trail shoe (Supernova Trail, Response Trail, Rave) for years, but these are even better. After two knee surgeries I have to be careful about cushioning and distance. These shoes were great right out of the box, and even on runs that should be too long for my knees (ten miles and more) I have no pain. Great traction too, on road, technical trails, up and down hills in the dark, mud, and snow. Reflective surfaces are great too (I can see them in the light of my head-lamp). Only negative is that the laces take a bit of getting used to. I'm buying these again! I developed shin splints in both shins. I had orthotics made, wore shin sleeves, iced religiously, did every exercise I could find but nothing seemed to help. I purchased these in October, most of the shin pain was gone by December. They could breathe a little better, but then they probably wouldn't be as durable. Despite not breathing well they do not retain any odor. I have had these for 7 months now; most of the traction is still there, the lining along the heel is shredded, and one seam is beginning to come undone. It is time for a new pair of shoes and I will not even consider buying anything else but these. Comments about Mens UK Gear XC-09 Trail Running Shoe: I like the shoe for trail running. It felt real stable in the dirt. It also had traction. Didn't feel much slipping when going down hill. These shoes have eliviated the pain in my knees and has afforded me the ability to increase my mileage. Good buy if your a Foxtrot Alpha like me! They offer comfort, stability, cushioning, and ruggedness all in one package. I have put my XC-09?s through some pretty rough training and they have performed very well. They are not only tough, lightweight, and comfortable, three characteristics I demand from running shoes, but stylish as well. If you are looking for an amazing running shoe get a pair of the XC-09?s, you wont be disappointed.
