Comments about Mens Vibram FiveFingers KSO Running Shoe: They look a little goofy but I love these things. I will say however that they are not for everyone. I have been running/working out in the KSOs for about 3 years and have done 3 half marathons and 3 10k races. It takes a few weeks to get acclimated to these if you are coming from traditional running shoes. There is no arch support and you have to change your running style so that you are not striking your heels at all. You either have to run on the balls of your feet or more flat footed, this results in your muscles absorbing the impact and being sore for a while. I typically only run about 9 - 12 miles a week but use them in the gym 4 -5 times a week. I found them good for improving overall stability since your body can't rely on the shoe for heel support. I run on fine crushed gravel and on concrete but can't run below 40 d F. I tried running a few times when it was 29 d F outside and my toes went numb. It is awesome running on grass or softer ground, but have to watch out for larger stones. In traditional running shoes I am heel striker but found these more comfortable since it forces me not to strike anymore. The shoes are supposed to be a little tight. A friend of mine got the KSOs and they were a little big and his foot moved around and got blisters. I have to get another pair because after 3 years the fabric is just wearing out. You have to wash them periodically since they can get a little funk to them.

Comments about Mens Vibram FiveFingers KSO Running Shoe: I run five days per week in my KSO's. It took two weeks to get accustomed to the different strike of the foot and my calves had to get stronger as well. My feet now feel better in these than in shoes. I do not have the joint pain I once did with shoes. I love these shoes.

Comments about Mens Vibram FiveFingers KSO Running Shoe: I did a lot of research on this product. I 1st heard about it a year ago. I am happy to say it is exactly what I was looking for as a training shoe. I had no idea it would feel so great on my feet. It is like putting on a pair of slippers. My feet only took one day to adjust to the idea of the minimal sole. I would recommend they to all.

Comments about Mens Vibram FiveFingers KSO Running Shoe: When I made the switch from traditional running shoes to the Vibrams I started out with KSOs. I liked them a lot and they definitly convinced me to never go back. But, I always had a tough time getting them on. Once on my feet they felt great but it sometimes took forever. The soles are also pretty smooth and I found myself slipping in wet and icy conditions. A couple months ago a switched to the Bikilas and absolutely love them! They slide right on, feel great and they have a slightly more aggressive tread which helps a lot on the road. I run about 60 miles a week and they are holding up great. If you're a road runner, I recommend you try the Bikilas.

Cons Best Uses Comments about Mens Vibram FiveFingers KSO Running Shoe: I've tried all kinds of expensive running shoes to limit/minimize shin splints, and they've all failed until I tried these. I used to get shin splints in the first half mile of running, however now with these I can easily put in 2 miles with no issues! I love these! Plus they look pretty unique...
