I bought these because I started wearing my running Bikilas all the time and they stank. I wear these almost every day and they don't stink and my feet stay nice and dry in the Florida heat. Walking in these and running in my bikilas has strengthened the wimpy muscles in my feet and lower legs so I no longer get shin splints or have pains in my arches. No heel striking either. Like magic.

I usually wear a men's 8 and I wear a 40 in these. They fit very tight at first, especially at the back top, but after wearing a few days they are perfect. In grey and blue they go great with most of my pants/shorts and don't look nearly as strange in person. The only people who seem to notice have been thinking about getting a pair and ask me if they're worth it. They are. If you get a proper fit you will love these shoes. If you don't love them they might be a bit too big or the rear straps might be a bit too tight (mine are quite loose).

For over a year I have done alot of research of the Vibram Five Fingers. I finally broke down and bought a pair after going through false hopes of the Fila Skeletoe. Don't buy the knockoffs and dish out some extra cash for the real deal. Your feet will thank you. There is definitely a "transition" period. Wear the shoe for a couple hours at a time for the first week or so. But after a while they become a part of your foot. I never felt more at home and giggled like a child when walking through the woods or just in the grass. also running for games like ultimate frisbee made me feel like a champion as I had better control of my balance. All in all a fantastic shoe.

I like these shoes. That being said, if you are just getting into barefoot shoes (as I was) I recommend you ease into them. I have run in them already, but start off with small distances (about 10% of your weekly runs)

The shoes fit well, although the adjustable strap system is not perfect. But once you start walking in them you forget about that sort of stuff and focus on the incredible feedback you get from the road. Be weary of technical trails or any surface with lots of rocks or sharp objects. This sole is very thin and flexible, and won't protect your foot too well. Perhaps they are best enjoyed on asphalt or other hard, smooth surfaces.

I've purchased 4 pairs of these. They're the only thing that fits my uber-extra-wide feet, tho I still have to go a size up. However, that's compensated for by the velcro adjustment that keeps the heel tight. So it's all good.

I use these for walking, running, climbing public artwork, and shopping.

If you walk/ run through deep enough mud, your shoes will get mighty uncomfortable. Little bits of rock will get inside and scratch your feet, and there's no socks (at least in mine) to cushion the annoyance.

Have wore out 5-6 pairs. Own 4 new. Seems are not produced any more.

Have ran full marathons in it. Never use traditional running shoes. Since using sprint five fingers have cured from plantar fasciitis and tendinitis.

May not work for others. But for me it was the cure. I am 60 and run/walk 80-100 miles a month.
