The FiveFinger SeeYa LS was my first pair of barefoot shoe. This kind of running definitely takes some getting used to. The Fit expert in my local store told me to start off with low mileage and work my way up in this shoe.. A must. I could feel the difference immediately, and doing too much too soon could have caused serious pain. I am now running primarily in these shoes and couldnt be happier. They really change the way you run and what muscles you utilize.

I am learning to run correctly and these shoes are really helping me. Unlike the other reviewer, I am directly opposite. I bought the original SeeYa's and these new SeeYa's. I promptly returned the original SeeYa's. The original were not comfortable. The single velcro top strap dug into the top of my foot when I ran. These SeeYa's are night and day more comfortable for me. I just ran 6.3 miles in them and it felt awesome! As I strengthen my calf muscles I will increase my speed and distance.

I run 15 miles/week. Compared to VFF Classic, the Seeya LS is more cushioned (less road feel, but much better protection from bruising pebbles); better toe ventilation due to mesh rather than stretchy fabric; and cutouts on the sole reduce weight yet increases traction on loose surfaces. This shoe is for running fast on pavement, road, or cross country (@165 lbs, there's enough protection underfoot).
Keep the fit comfortably snug lengthwise, so it won't roll or chafe when running. I recommend going a size up for sitting-around wear so your toes can relax; go true-to-length for unbelievable shoe-control when running.

I bought the SeeYa LS because I have a pair of the original SeeYa and I love the sole and the glove like feel, but I am not a fan of velcro or the bright colors. I thought they would the same or better than the original just with laces and without being neon yellow. The fabric is not as as stretchy or comfortable and they bind across the top of the foot. I really wanted to like these. They are better looking than the original, but just not comfortable.
