Comments about Mens Zoot ULTRA TT Running Shoe:

At first glance the medial post looked to be overkill. Combined with the siping under the forefoot I thought it would isolate the flex at the base of the toe joints. (RRS needs more views of this shoe on the website) Fortunately, they had a much better running feel than expected. Weight seemed similar to the Asics Ohana Racer or Banditos I typically wear. I prefer to wear no-show socks because they are quicker to pull on in transitions. As noted by another reviewer, the high back rubbed my achilles. In my case, into a bloody mess. I now must wear higher socks with all my shoes until the scabs heal. Maybe my skin will be tougher as a result. The design could be improved by using a ring or string to pull them on as opposed to the rubber grip. The time saved from the no-tie laces is lost on the clumsy tab on the back. The shoe seemed a little long but otherwise fit true. Despite what may seem like a lot of complaints, the look and design of this shoe compels fast running. A few tweaks and

Comments about Mens Zoot ULTRA TT Running Shoe:

I use this as a racing shoe and have been very happy with the performance. (2 5k's and a half marathon) Although others have rubbing issues with the high heel tab, it has not bothered me. Lightweight and responsive. Very nice ride for mid foot striking.

Comments about Mens Zoot ULTRA TT Running Shoe:

Bought this shoe last summer to try out in sprint Tri. From the first run I could tell it worked very well with one exception (which has been noted by almost all reviewers) - the high tab on the heel. It did rub more than it should, though no blister problems. Have run up to a halfM in them with no issues except the heel rub and for some reason one shoe would squeak from the insole somewhere when it got a little moisture after the swim. Socks never used with good result. Overall I'll buy again and hope they change the heel tab!

Comments about Mens Zoot ULTRA TT Running Shoe:

This is the best shoe I've had in a long time. It is super comfortable...almost like wearing a sock. I really enjoy the pull tight lace system. Laces strech with your foot movement. I live in the desert where running in summer months means running in hot weather. this shoe has loads of ventalation to keep my foot cool. I like it.

Comments about Mens Zoot ULTRA TT Running Shoe:

It's still a little early to have an opinion on this shoe, but since it's so new I thought others might like a brief opinion anyway.
When I first picked up the shoe, I thought it looked and felt kind of cheap - not too impressed, except the wild styling looks fun. I've now done around 5 - 6 runs in them in the 5 - 8 mile range. They actually feel very good running. They feel very light, and are just very smooth to run in. They seem to give me all of the support I need. I'm a neutral 165 pounder. The toebox feels a bit snug, but so far hasn't caused any kind of problem. The lacing on top peels off to the inside of the shoe, and seems to help.
My one large complaint about these shoes is the "pull tab" type back of the shoe. I don't do tri, so not into the transition benefits of pulling on the shoe quickly. The rear tab runs very high up my achilles, and is uncomfortable. I've started wearing taller socks & seems to help.
Overall - interesting shoe. Fun & functional.

Comments about Mens Zoot ULTRA TT Running Shoe:

I sometimes worry when I try new lightweight shoes that while they might be light in weight, it comes at too much a price in support for me. That is, even as a neutral runner without any issues, sometimes I feel that the there isn't enough shoe present and lightweight shoes can feel too delicate. However, I found the TT to be a little more substantial than it's light weight suggests, which gives me confidence when I run in it. I suspect it will become my standard lightweight training/marathon shoe. I think it compares to the Asics DS trainer.
I haven't tried it without socks yet due to our cold weather, but the lack of seams on the inside seems very promising.
The lacing systems works very well for me. The eyelets have plastic bits in them that allow the lace to slide through, so when I pull the lace it seems to tighten equally across the shoe, not just at the top.

Comments about Mens Zoot ULTRA TT Running Shoe:

Returned it after two runs. Too snug in the toes and the comfort wasn't there in the heel. Might be better for training on the grass, but not in the mountains. Felt every pebble. Not light enough to be a good racing flat, but too light for high milage. Looks cool though...

Comments about Mens Zoot ULTRA TT Running Shoe:

I first put on the Zoot and I thought wow this is as comfortable as a slipper. Then I thought this to good to be true, there is no way it will give support for running. But I was wrong, they give support and they are comfortable. I will use these shoes for my short runs and races such as 5K and 10K. The only problem I have is with the heel, it comes up so far it rubbs your achilles and causes blisters. I have started to wear taller socks, but hope that I will get used to it. I highly recommend people give these shoes a chance.
