These shoes are great for both training and racing. They're designed very light without sacrificing comfort. The laceless design takes the hassle out of having to tie your shoes or having to worry about your shoes coming untied. Overall best the shoe I've trained & raced with in my life.

I wear them for races up to half-marathon
Low to the gorund feel = very responsive
Great witohut socks
Some runners may be annoyed by the high tab in the back but it caused no problems for me

I bought these shoes for tris but after using them for a few weeks I ordered a second pair for daily runs. I really like how light they are and the way they feel on my feet (no inside seams and feels like a sock). The speed laces are a great addition as well.

So far, I've used the shoes for running a 5k. It was about 45° and raining. The shoes were great and kept my feet fairly dry. I did have an issue with the laces on the right shoe. The plastic piece that hold the laces together came off. Zoot was quick to send a replacement pair of laces. I love the shoes and would recommend them to anyone.

I plan to wear the TT mostly for triathlon racing and some faster training sessions. I decided to try them based on recommendation from a few friends and how quickly they dry. I sweat a lot and poor a lot of water on me during races. Even my Newton's get a little too wet by end of a race.

I do wear a thin sock with the TT but would feel comfortable going without socks for a short race.

My longest run so far in them is 18 miles and they felt very nice. Not too soft or firm. Just right for me. I will wear them this weekend in IM WI.

I have several pairs of the Zoot Energy and I bought the slip on racers. I did not like the design of the new Energy and I could not get them online, so I chose this shoe. I like this for distances from 3 to 10 miles. I have not raced in them yet, but they are very responsive for me when accelerating. Also, I have Newtons and other Zoot shoes. These are almost my favorite shoe. The previous version of the Zoot Energy is still outstanding. I would recommend these shoes.

I was looking for shoe for road races and tris to be a little heavier and more cushioning than a racing flat, and these fit the bill. Only complaint is when your foot is wet they are a little hard to get on, and in the inner liner sticks to your foot a bit. Other than that they are fast and light, but don't kill your calves when you are done...I wish I had these in my college running days could've worn them during workouts rather than flats or spikes.
