Comments about Mens Hoka One One Bondi 3 Running Shoe:
I've been an avid runner since 1984. More marathons than I can count, many ultras, triathlons, etc. My point is I've tried a hundred shoes and seen the fads (can you spell "minimalist")come and go. But the Hokas are completely different. For the first time in 30 years I came back from a 20 mile training run, exhausted, but was shocked to find my legs were almost FRESH! No soreness. No limited range of motion. No compulsion to stretch them out. After a nap I could have gone dancing. That's never happened before. After you get used to them, running in Hokas is more like pedalling a bike. A nice even cycling motion rather than bang, bang, bang on the ground. Word of warning: You have to run more than the "out the store and down the sidewalk" trial. Took me at least two runs to get comfortable because they feel sooooo odd to run in. Until you learn to relax you almost run in an careful, guarded way. Only complaint is the tongue. Had to cut the weird end down so it didn't wear a hole in me (after it wore a hole in me). Come-on HOKA ... buy a pair of Zoots and see how they do it. Regardless, I'll NEVER go back to "regular" shoes again!
Feels true to size
Feels true to width
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
