Comments about Mens ASICS GEL-Nimbus 16 Running Shoe:

After running with Nimbus for 10 years, I switched to Kinsei 4 after a horrible marathon experience with Nimbus 14. Then to Kinsei 5 which tore and split on top of forefoot soon after purchase. Back to Nimbus 16 and the magic has returned! Great fit and cushioning...like running on air.

Comments about Mens ASICS GT-2000 2 Running Shoe:

I switched to the GT 2000 2 after I developed some flexor hallicus longus irritation earlier this spring on longer runs in my Mizuno Wave Elixers. I was on my 3rd pair of Elixers (and was VERY unhappy that Mizuno no longer would be making them) when this developed. I mixed up my runs more, worked on some good mobility/strength/balance exercise and just couldn't get over the FHL pain once I got into the 9-10 mile range. I switched to the GT 2000 2 knowing that a bit more pronation control for those longer runs would unload that a bit. It worked like a charm and now these have become my go-to shoe for longer distances of greater than 8-9 miles. I rotate them with my Wave Elixers and Saucony Fast Twitch (sprint work, general exercise) and have been very happy with that group.

These shoes have held up extremely well compared to the lighter weight Elixers and Fast Twitch so I am hoping to get a whole lot of miles out of these. Thanks to the RRS team for answering a bunch of questions for me when choosing to head to the GT 2000 2.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Inspire 10 Running Shoe:

I had run in Brooks for almost 10 years when I started training more seriously and wanted to find some lighter shoes. These were recommended to me and I have definitely found a favorite that I will stick with for a long time. They are so light and fit to every part of my feet. I used to have problems when I tied laces too tighly that my feet would sometimes go numb. These I can tie tightly and they feel nice and snug and hug my feet so well, and I have no nerve-pinching/numbness problem.
Although many others have been mentioning that these shoes wear quickly, I have actually found the opposite. The Brooks I had always had before I would have to switch out every 350-370 miles because my feet and knees would start to feel the lack of support. These I have worn for nearly 500 miles and my legs still feel great at the end of every run. During marathon training I run 50-70 mile weeks on these shoes.
These shoes are definitely not cushiony or soft. They have a solid platform that provides stability and little to no soft, bouncy cradle. That is what I look for in a stability shoe so these are perfect.
I already have another pair waiting in the closet!
