Comments about Garmin Forerunner 210 GPS Monitors:

I consider myself somewhere between the casual/recreational and avid athlete categories, but not a "gym rat." I jog an average of 3.5 miles about every other day. I run a few 5Ks each year, but mainly jog by myself. I travel a fair amount, and have used Garmin Forerunners (205, 405, and now the 210) on six continents (all but Antarctica). I used a Forerunner 405 for over a year, but got fed up with the touch-sensitive bezel: almost every time I jogged with it, something unexpected (often bad) happened when the bezel was falsely activated. The 210 is smaller/lighter, finds satellites fast, and has all the features I need. And it's less expensive than the 405. I have a foot pod for indoor tracks, and use it for cadence data even when I'm using the GPS for location tracking, pace, and distance. The charging/download cable clip connection to the 210 is a little hard to get used to, and has to be reconnected once in a while, but I've used the 210 for over a month now and have gotten the hang of it. I use Garmin Training Center on my laptop to upload and store 210 data and Google Earth to produce location tracks.

Comments about R-Gear Road Runner Sports Go Stronger, Longer Compression Socks:

Was told by my vascular surgeon that I need to start wearing compression socks on a near daily basis. I have several pairs of socks that are true 25-30 compression socks, but I needed something that was easier to get on, and provides compression. These fit the bill. My new daily-wear socks. I have six pairs of them now, and love them.
