Great all around shoe...

5

I'm 6'1" and 185lbs and typically run about 30 miles per week on average. I train mostly for full and half marathons and I'm currently on my second pair of Kayano 15's. First of all, the cushioning is sublime. Truly. I've been in Nike, Mizuno, Pearl Izumi, New Balance and a few others, but the K15's offer the best impact protection of anything I've run in previously. The fit is really nice, for the most part. Good heel cup and the arch wrap area is nice and snug without being restrictive. However, I do with the toe box was a bit roomier, but that's just preference as everyone has a different foot shape. Support is good in these as I tend to be a pretty severe over-pronator, but combined with my orthotic the K15 does a good job keeping me on the straight and narrow. The biggest drawback that I can find is that the out sole wears somewhat quickly. After about 200 miles the toe off area is almost completely gone, as well as the outer heel area. I know everyone wears shoes differently, but none of my previous brands wore like these in those areas. They're still usable, just be aware that you might get a lot of sole wear. For what it's worth, I'm considering buying a 3rd pair before they're all gone.

Kayano 16 Is Not the Kayano 15!

5

I had the Orange Kayano15's before these Red 15's. I put well over 350 miles in them while training for my 1st Marathon. I loved the snug fit. After 350 miles it was time for a new pair. I went and bought this years model Kayano16, ran in them twice and was experiencing ankle pain. Turns out the lacing on this model was changed significantly for me to where I had a lot of movement in the front part of my foot while running. The snug fit was gone. So I returned them and bought 2 pairs of the 15's again. I just ran my 1st marathon this past weekend with no significant foot discomfort. Here's to hoping Asics brings back the 15 lacing style!

On my 3rd pair

2 years ago I had to move to the Kyano 15 because Asics kept messing with the design of the 2110 and 2130. The "new" designs were boxy and stiff and poor. So up I went to the Kayano 15. LOVE this shoe. Control and fit and comfort are great. I had to deal with the added weight the gel adds. My only knock on this shoe is that the rubber on soles wears out too fast. The rest of ths shoe is in great shape, but the soles wear down to the padding in a few hundred miles. I have a pair of 2130 with over 1,000 miles on them and the traction is in better shape than my 5 month old Kayano 15. With that said, I'll stiil buy them...have a new pair in the box waiting to go.

great shoe!

I use these shoes for running, and have been getting each successive new pair of kayanos for each year. i liked the kayano 15 so much though that i bought it again this year despite the fact that the new kayano 16 is already out. they fit great, and handle my training needs. the only con i've found is that the bottoms wear out pretty quickly. even after one day's use, i can see the black rubber starting to wear. this could be due in part because i run on a treadmill and the excessive friction wears it out quicker but i'm not sure. also after about a month or so the area near the top lace eyelet wears out a bit. this is not a problem for me because i buy a new pair every year, but if you are planning on keeping them longer it is something to think about.

Incredible Deal

5

This model really is better than the Kayano 16 for someone who does not need as much extra ankle padding or weight. It is no speedster by any means and I can't imagine running a 5 or 10K in them, but I have worn this model in multiple marathons and had no discomfort from them whatsoever. FYI: I am 6' 155-160 LBS. Normal Arch, nearly neutral runner who runs and trains in these shoes, Kayano 16s(when I want a softer shoe), and Gel DS 15 Trainers(for shorter distance events and training runs only). I run between 50 and 80 miles a week depending on the time of year, section of my current training cycle, etc.

Super Shoe

4

I'm on my second pair. What I love about this shoe is how good it feels out of the box. I don't feel like they need to be broken in at all. I was able to run six miles without any friction spots or blisters. My previous pair did seem to wear quickly, though. Specifically, the mesh above the right toe developed a hole. Weird spot for it, I know, but it was there nevertheless, and overall it felt like the shoe wore a little quicker than previous models I've worn, especially the cushioning. I do love the shoe, though, and I'm currently cycling it in with a couple of other models--none of which I like as much. But hopefully the shoe will last me a little longer this time around.

great shoe, poor durability

4

this shoe is great in so many ways but durability is not one of them. i've been through at least 6 pairs and love running in them. the durability is terrible! a large hole has been worn in the heel area after a month of use in every pair. another problem is in extreme heat they become very "squishy" and it totally changes the feel of the shoe. i had many foot problems (plantar fasciitis, neuroma) before running in these shoes and haven't had them since and that is the reason i keep running in them even with their awful durability. hope this helps.

The only running shoe line I purchase

5

After breaking bones in my feet playing indoor soccer, I searched for the perfect shoe that offers the complete support package for my imperfect feet. The Kayano line is it. I started with a few pairs of Kayano 13's and now on to the 15's. I ran a half marathon in training yesterday and my feet feel great. Now, if they only made Kayano's for my knees, then I'd be even happier! Great running shoe, I will continue to purchase unless something more amazing enters the market.

Love these shoes!

5

I'm 6'2", 190# and run up to 60 mi/wk and marathon distances. I started developing a bunion on my right foot and needed a bit of pronation control. These shoes have fit the bill and been really comfortable when sized up to accomodate foot swelling on long runs in hot, humid weather. Retired from running after 400 miles, they remain very comfortable on-the-job and casual shoes. Only "con" is poor breathability, resulting in hot, sweaty, stinky shoes in the Arkansas August. I'd buy these again and again (if I can find good pricing).

No reason to go to the 16!

5

These shoes are terrific. I've only been seriously running for a couple of years, but I'm glad I found the Kayanos. To be honest, they have a little too much support for somebody with an average arch if you plan to run on pavement, but I absolutely love these on the trail. I wish I had a neutral shoe for road running, but the Kayanos are my go to when I hit the trails. Great shoe for runners who need a little extra support but don't want to take the jump to the motion control category.

Kayano's Kick Bottom!

5

I consider myself a heavy runner (195+) and have been looking for a pair of shoes that truly support my feet under my larger frame. I first started with a pair of these two years ago and loved them but branched out to see what else was out there. Well, after a couple of other pairs of shoes I find myself back in a pair of Asics Gel Kayano and it's like having my old running partner back. They are comfortable, support my feet and lower body well and, as an added bonus, they look pretty good as well.

Still a good shoe

5

Before these shoes I had knee and shin aches all the time. These shoes helped a lot with that. They cushion and support well. I hope they keep making them forever. Haven't tried the new (16's) ones but I believe in if it isn't broke don't change it. These work great for me. Cons: they do get pretty dirty looking rather easily and on some pairs I've had an issue with my big toe rubbing thru the top mesh.

The Best Running Shoe in the World!

5

I am a larger runner (6'3" and 215 lbs), a segment that I believe is overlooked by almost all running shoe manufacturers. However, so long as ASICS continues to sell the Kayano, I will be a loyal customer. For a neutral runner such as myself, the Kayano simply cannot be beat. I am not sure how Asics does it, but this shoe keeps getting better every year. The Kayano is a beautiful shoe - well made, comfortable, and built to last.

Great stabilty and cushioning.

5

First, my vitals: male, 205 lbs., newer runner (less than 2 years). I am on my fourth pair of Kayanos. I used these to train for - and run! - my first marathon. I logged over 300 miles on my Kayanos during training and they still provided great support and cushioning during the marathon. I use cushion inserts and enjoy an incredibly plush and supportive ride. I love the off-set lacing!

Been using the Kayano since version 11. Liked the 12, hated the 13 and skipped the 14. The 15 is awesome. It is the shoe for me. Great stability with cushioning. Does the 10km runs with no problem on concrete and asphalt. Does not overheat when running in Singapore and Hong Kong tropical heat. Generally lasts moderately well - the shoe is well constructed. Me likey this one velly much!!

Cushy support

5

I run about 40 miles a week and have plantar fascillitis/ blown out arches. These shoes really give me the support that I need for my road running training runs- you can literally feel the cushioning continue to hold you up during some of the later miles of longer runs. I highly recommend these shoes for someone looking for cushioning and support for mid to longer runs on the road.

I run a couple miles a couple times a week. Shoes are new to me and have previously used Brooks Adrenaline (another good option) also from Roadrunner. These have a better feel especially in the heel cushioning and don't sacrifice any noticeable weight or comfort. Good shoe worth the money (if on sale) for heavier runners.

Getting a Second Pair

5

This seems to be a great shoe. I run 25-30 miles per week. Only 70 miles on this new pair. I over-pronate like crazy, and these shoes have really helped me with knee and lower leg pain. I am getting a second pair as I get ready to run the SF marathon. Would recommend this shoe to medium milage novice runners like myself.

About my 20th pair of kayanos!

5

I have purchased about 20+ pairs of these over the years. I purchase a pair of womens 9's for the summer months(i hate socks in the summer)..and mens 8's for the winter(I love thick socks in the winter). I will never run in anything but Kayanos. I have knee issues and these give me the shock absorption to keep my going. Best shoe ever!

5

I buy Gel Kayano's for knee and lower back support because I have pronation issues and a bulging disc. These are my 3rd pair and by far the most comfortable shoe ASICS has made. Great support and quality [...] Would buy again and again. I'm thinking of getting another pair just for backup!

Great training shoe!

5

I have been running in Kayanos for years, and I will continue as long as Asics continues to make them. They have great pronotion control for those that over pronote and provide great stability. I have run Brooks Adrenalines and Saucony Pro Grid Hurricanes, but nothing matches up to the Kayano yet. Definitely recommend!

Quality Running Shoe

4

This is a solid running shoe that provides stability and cushioning without adding excess weight. These shoes have held up well to heavy use and I have purchased a second pair after the other ones served me well for about a year. I would recommend these shoes as a strong value for the average runner.

I run about 35 miles a week and once I switched the the Kayanos a few ago, I can't imagine running in anything else. I have tried the lower model 1160 and2250, but in my opinion the Kayanos are definately worth the extra money.Very stable, comfortable, good cushion. Just an all around great running shoe, and I cannot think of anything bad to say.

5

I am a heavy runner with a past history of plantar faciitus in both feet and have had surgery on both knees. I love Asic gels. I do about 5-6 miles a day. Walk 2 to warm up. Then I run the rest. These shoes are the only ones I will wear to run/walk in. Been that way for at least the last 8 years.

5

I had a foot surgery and any shoe I purchased would cause me pain where the incision was made. The off set lacing patern on this shoe is the only shoe that does not cause unwanted pressure. I am also a big guy and find this shoe to be very comfortable for pavement or the treadmill.

5

These are my core training shoes for marathon training. As a 165 lb, sub 3 hour runner at 70 mile average / week, I have not found a pair of shoes that cushions and lasts as long. Nothing else has come close for the price. A little heavy to race with, I switch to racing flats on race day and just fly.

4

Good supportive and cushioning shoe for my running gait. This shoe is comparable to previous Kayano models though do feel the extra cushioning in the heel. My only issues are that it might be a bit too soft for me, and I do see outsole wearing out faster than I prefer. Overall, this is a solid shoe for Stability + category. Another solid model from the Kayano line.

I have always purchased the Asics GT-2000 series and this is my first purchase of the Gel-Kayano. I like the additional cushioning it provides and the overall feel. The lacing system also seem to provide better support than my 2140s. Most of my miles so far have been on the treadmill, but with spring here I am looking forward to more road miles.

I've put about 200 miles on these shoes. Cushioning and stability are very good for long runs. I did not think they are over cushioned as other people have suggested. Toe box and length are a tad bigger than same size Nimbus. Could not tie strings as tight as I like due to it causing major pain. Never had that problem with other shoes. Worth buying at sale price but not full retail.

I just purchased this shoe, having previously run in the Gel-Landreth 4s. Because I'm over 180lbs (6ft 4in height), I thought I would try this shoe instead of the Landreth 5s. Big mistake in two ways: 1) The shoe isn't as cushy as my Landreth 4's which was a big, but disappointing surprise. 2) When I tried them on, the shoe immediately cut into the outside of my ankle (where there is also precious little cushion). I didn't even try to run in them, as I didn't want a blister and a sore ankle! Back in the box for an exchange for the Landreth 5. I read on a previous review of the Kayano 15 that the shoe was longer, which then cut into the ankle. I suppose this is precisely what I experienced. Good luck to the rest of you!

Have worn Kayano's for as 7+ years, unfortunately I can't wear the 15. The new lace pattern runs diagonally across the top of your foot wich for me resulted in pinched "little" toes. Very disappointing--I had to find some classics. I only wish the 14 was avaiable--it was the perfect shoe!

I am 6'3", 220 lbs, and run about 30-35 miles a week. I have run in all stability plus shoes that come in 14E (not very many). I got hooked on the Kayanos back with the 12s. The 12s and 13s were great. These shoes are much more stiff than those and feel less cushioned. The new lacing scheme is ok...I don't see a lot of value added there, but it doesn't bother me. In general the fit is looser than the previous models, particularly in the forefoot. My biggest complaint is the stiff heel area. These shoes work for me, as I am able to run in them without any issues, but I really don't care for the stiffness of it. I also run in New Balance 1220 series shoes and have followed those from the 1220 to the 1225. I used to always slightly favor the Kayanos over the NB, but with this model, I prefer the NB 1225.

I'm 5'11" 145lbs, 20-25 mi/wk. I was looking for a stability shoe with superior cushioning to help battle some stress fracture problems in my feet. These have very good heel cushioning, however, the forefoot cushioning is not very good in my opinion. Also the forefoot cushioning felt like it completely wore out after about 250 miles. For the high price I was hoping they would last longer than that. I would have rated them a 5 if they lasted longer.

I have now ran 2 marathons in my pair of Kayano 15's. I am 5'11 and 180-190lbs and these shoes work great for me. My arches tend to collapse when I put weight on them, but these shoes still provide enough support for them to keep any soreness to a minimum. The shoes do a great job at minimizing my overpronating and overall I have very little bad to say about the shoe. The only bad thing I can say is that I don't really like the lace pattern. To me it seems harder to put chips, runner id's and or now my Nike plus chip around. I am not sure the contoured lace design really provide much benefit, but in the end I still love this shoe.

These great shoes with their ample cushioning helped me while I trained for and ran in my first marathon. I bought these shoes at a local rrs. I spent a while trying on a lot of the stability plus shoes. I was currently running in the brooks adrenaline gts 7, 8' and also the asic 2140. the asics tend to be more of a cushy shoe and since I have had knee surgery and gained some extra pounds i thought why not go with the kayano since its a bit more cushy than the trance. I took them out of the box and went on a 6 mile run and to my dismay i had very bad achilles pain. Mind you in all my years of running approx 16 years I have never had pain in that area from a new shoe or any shoe for that matter. I will say that I am using a rrs insole as well which I think is crap too. . . i am going back to brooks and using downunders orthotics which are the best that I have used to date and at 29.95 far better priced than anything on road runners site or store. anyway i am giving the shoes a two because well it just not that great at all.

It seems that people either love or hate these shoes. Well, I am part of the camp that isn't a big fan. I'm 5'8" & 150 lbs. and I run 40-50+ miles a week. These shoes were good at first, but after several hundred miles in these shoes, I began to notice some big flaws. I was last using some Trance 8s. While the new lacing system seems good in theory, I can't count the number of times that I had to stop and adjust because I was in pain. Second, they were good for the first several hundred miles, now I'm beginning to feel that the cushioning is all but gone - my knees tell me. I don't ever have knee pain until the shoes are shot and I've felt it on these too soon. I am going with something else next time.

I moved to the Kayano's after the new Nimbus didn't seem to provide enough support. The problem with this shoe is that they didn't last for my use. I was noticing a lack of cushioning in the fore foot area and checked my training logs and had a whopping 138 miles on them, there dead and now there just a kick around shoe. Wish I would've tried them earlier as I purchased two pairs but hadn't used them right away and missed the 60 day return window. 195 pound training for an ironman putting in 30-40 mpw. $140 msrp on a shoe that last a month is a joke.

Now, I weight 165 ibs and thought I no longer needed a motion control shoe so I purchase a pair of Kayano 15. I'm very happy with this shoe. I was afraid that I would get shin splints in a non-motion control shoe but so far my legs feel great. I ran 25+ miles/week with the temp. at 95 degrees this past summer (live in Texas). This causes my Asics Evolution 4 to break down within 250 miles and I believed this caused my hip injuries. I kept running in them because my previous pair latest 500 miles. Once I switch to the Kayanos my hip pain went away and I feel healthier than ever. I only wish this shoe was cheaper.

FANTASTIC SHOE! I've been rockin a pair of Pearl Infinities for the last couple months and I've started experiencing a some knee pain. These showed up in the mail a few days ago and I put 'em to a 6-miler that night. I was cruisin'! Perfect performance. And the way that they lace makes my toes happy. :)

Height: 5'11" Weight: 174lbs. I've had these for about 3 weeks now and I really love the shoes. Ran the Peachtree in my NB 801 which I always loved but got a terrible blister over an inch long on foot. The cushioning and transitioning in these shoes is amazing. The toe box is very snug allowing my forefeet no wiggle room for discomfort. Currently 38miles and counting but I look forward to having these for a long time. Not sure if asymmetrical lacing is necessary or not but the gel technology in the GK15 is far superior to many in the Asics line that I tried out. Looking for another pair soon!

Absolutely love these shoes. I'm 215 6'1" and put about 20-30 miles a week on them. The 14's were fine (ran a half in a pair), but they rubbed my Achilles until it bled. I hated the 13's more than any shoe I've ever worn. They were craptastic and felt horrible (only shoes I ever wound up returning). The 15's have been great for me though. No shin, knee or ankle problems and plenty of cushioning. I've never had a problem with the stitching blowing out either and I've put two halves on them along with my training runs. No blisters either, even after running the Marine Corps Historic Half Marathon in the pouring rain. I just wish RRS had the other color schemes in my size. Not a huge fan of the red. I'll definitely continue to buy these.

I have owned two pair of these for about six months now. I alternate on days that I run. I run 20+ miles per week (trails, road and treadmill) and am 6-foot and 180 pounds. They are holding up well and fit and feel great during every run. Highly recommended for heavier runners needing stability and cusion. I have run in the 2100 series previously and like these shoes just as well if not better.

I loved the 13s and the 14s, but the 15 just didn't work for me. Discomfort from the new lacing system and inner lining wore down quickly (I could see through to my sock-covered toes after about two weeks). Worst of all, I got a stress fracture in my fibula after about eight weeks of running in these. My doc says it might have to do with the shoes. Just thought I'd put it out there.

I run 25-35 miles per week 6'0 200 lbs. These shoes are the best I have run in for a long time. Asics got the cushioning and responsiveness just right. The toebox is just right for me and I hope Asics leaves this shoe alone.

These shoes are fantastic. I was running in some old Nike shox and compared these to comparable Saucony and Nike models...the EE fit was perfect. I just peeled off an 8 mile run in these things and my feet and legs feel fantastic. I've never had a more comfortable pair of running shoes.

I run 20-30 miles a week and this shoe performs. In previous years I have run in mizuno, brooks, NB, nike and adidas and no company makes a shoe that compares with these. The footbed is perfectly supportive and cushioned. The Kayano 15s are similar to the 14s. I have put over 1000 miles on my 14s and still run in them as an alternate to my 15s. I hope to get the same durability in my 15s.

I used to run in the Gel Evolution because of my flat feet and pronating problem. This shoe has provided me with so much more comfort and support. I have no pain while running in them and it is the most comfortable and supportive running shoe i have ever worn. I can tell this shoe will last a while and when its used up I'll buy another pair.

These Kayano-15's are great! Im 6', 212lbs, I bought them yesterday and put about 7 mi on them today, I dont even feel them. I usually get that tingling feeling in my leg after about 4-5 mi. and felt nothing this time. I just upgraded from the 2140 and its just a more comfortable ride.

From the beginning I have really liked the Kayano 15s. Very good fit, cushioning, overall feel. I track the mileage on all my shoes and after doing a 17 miler with these shoes on Friday, for a total of 131 miles so far, I noticed that one of the heels has already worn down to the mid layer. My average shoe mileage before retiring is 300 miles for NB, Adidas, and other Asics so I'm definitely not pleased with the early wear of these shoes. Too expensive for such a few miles.

Wore the Mizuno Wave 7s last year (three pair). They were great. The Wave 8s now have a wider toe box and I blistered badly. Switched to the Kayano and all is good again. Digging the fancy laceups, taking pressure of the top of my foot. Solid shoe.

Had NB 1224, didnt like them. Started using 2130 Asics, loved them. Bought all I could find. Cant find them anymore. Bought 2140, OK but not the same feel. Got the 15, ran 10 miles out of the box, felt much better than the 2130's that had 250 miles on them. Like the 15 dont love them yet, more miles more love I hope. Good shoe.

I am 5'8" and about 180, running between 15-20 miles per week. I have had recurring problems with shin splints and thought I would try the Kayano 15's. The first pair I bought offered a slight improvement in the shin splints with the addition of some special insoles, but the stitching came loose on the trim on one of the shoes after running in the shoes for less than 2 weeks. I sent the shoes back and got another pair, and the same problem with the stitching on the trim coming apart within three weeks. I sent that pair back and am now on my third pair of Kayono 15's. I sent Asics and email telling them about this problem over a month ago, but they have not responded. For a top of the line shoe, Asics needs to improve the workmanship in this shoe.

I decided to try these out since I can never find the Kayano 14's in stock in my size. I run approximately 20-25 miles per week on different types of terrain. The Kayano 14's are a lot more stable compared to the new Kayano 15's. The colors are not my style for one and they lack the stability I am looking for. They felt very unstable right out of the box and on the track they were not very stable at all. I like to stick with a brand but the shoe has obviously changed in design and if I cannot find the 14's in my size I may have to move to another brand. Frustrating.

I have run 100 miles in my Kayano`s. I use them for distances between 7-26 miles. They have a snug fit.I have neutral feet, but they work for me though i need them for their great stability and cushion.I have run my first marathon in them, and they were great for my feet.No blisters at all. Two days after the race i was back in training agian and my body was in great shape because of the cushioning. For speedwork i use other shoes, but they work for that to because of the tight fit. My weight is 145 pounds.

I just finished my 5th run in these new Kayano 15's and I am extremely pleased. I run 20-25 miles per week and have been running in Kayano's for the last 4 years. I decided I was going to try something new and was about to purchase the NB1220's. At the last minute, I chickened out and got the 15's. I love the cushioning as well as the support much more than the 13's. I am not one to ever write a review, but the performance of the new Kayano 15's left me no other choice. You won't regret the purchase.

First run in this shoe. I run 15+ miles per week. The shoe is comfortable and light. Its a good looking shoe. I cant explain the why it costs more than the GT2130's I was wearing. The lacing is assymetrical with no apparent benefit to the runner. The initial blush, after 6 miles is that the are adequate but pricy.

I've had good luck with the Kayano 14s, but the new 15s seem a bit stiffer and I've developed some soreness in my hip. When I'd wear my old 14s the soreness went away. So I bought all the 14s I could get my hands on. Something has changed from last years model. These are great shoes but the 15s don't agree with me. I run about 45 miles a week and have completed 3 marathons in the last year. Always ask clerk if shoes can be returned and give the shoes a months test run.

I am sure this is a great shoe, just not for my foot. I purchased this model based on reveiws and though it might be better for my frame. I am 6'2", 225lbs and run between 15 and 20 miles per week. I have been in the 2130 shoe for about a year and had no problems to speak of. My first run in this shoe was uncomfortable, but I kind of made some excuses that is was more me than the shoe. On my second run I experienced significant pain in my forefoot and arch, not discomfort, real pain. Needless to say, I am sending these back and have already recieved my replacement pair, the Asics 2140.

There are so many good things about these Kayano 15's that I could compliment. For me, however, the best part is the new shape of the eyelet strips, shoelace path and the tongue under them. If you look down at your own bare foot and try to point your big toe at the ceiling, the large tendon on the top of the foot runs diagonally from your leg to the big toe. This is where Asics put the lace-up path...all other shoes run it straight down the middle of the shoe. All these years, I have been trying to put retangular profile shoes on my triangular (front profile) feet. This always put at least one shoelace eyelet on top of the crest of my foot right were a blood vien crosses it. Thank you Asics for this very, very comfortable running shoe. Please share this simple but excellent change with all shoe manufacturers... the people of the world will all walk better! And yes, I ran faster, happier, and better this morning.

I have to say these are a much better shoe than the 2110s, 2120s and 2130s for a Stability Plus runner. At first the heel felt a little tighter than I am used to, but after my first five-miler, they fit great. Good cushion and stability, but expensive. I started running in Kayano 12 and loved the shoes. Then, upgraded to Kayano 14 and within two weeks began experiencing knee problems. Tried to remedy with Superfeet insoles but it wouldn't help. For the last three months I have been battling excruciating knee pain when running and could hardly finish my regular 6 mile runs. I picked up Kayano 15 today and went on a 5.5 mile run. All I could say was WOW! Knee pain was still there but much more bearable to handle. I finished my run without much trouble. The shoe felt much more stable than Kayano 14 and provides ample cushioning for a heavier runner. I am 6.1 and 195lb. Highly recommend!

The best since the 9 or 10. The fit is more sleek and the ride is softer and more flexible with a smoother transition. A slightly snugger heel fit is noted. A pinch ligher, it also felt a bit quicker than the 14, which is good. Time will tell with regards to durability. A good mistress for my feet.

Anyone who would rate these a 1 has no clue about shoes. If you are looking for the most cushioned stability shoe, buy the Equalon 2 or 3. However, they are not as good overall as the Kayano 15. This shoe has a great deal more stability and the cushioning is great. I run close to 40 miles a week. Remember, these are for high mileage, large framed runners. If this shoe is not great, why do so many orthopedic doctors recommend them, including mine. By the way, he is a runner as well.

What a great update! I have struggled for the last 5 years to find a perfect shoe. As bigger runner (5'11" 200 lbs), I have tried a variety of stability + shoes from Saucony, Nike, Brooks and even the Kayano 13 & 14. Although some worked, they were never really comfortable. This shoe is as close to perfect for me as I have found. It's lighter, the lace system is great and the cushion is perfect for heavier runners. The heal is still nice and snug but the toe box offers pleanty of room without being sloppy. It did take a few runs to realize that I didn't have to tie my shoes so tight since they actually now stay tight.

First, let me say that I preordered these shoes and the Nike Equalons 3 back in September from Roadrunner. they were offering a special and I got the Equalons for $99.00 and the Kayanoes for $124.00. That saved me over $40.00. Also, the 15's were not available until December 5. I received mine on December 8. Pretty sweet! i have been in the Kayanoes for 8 years, all the way back to the VII. I ran 6 miles in these out of the box. Love the new lacing system. (much like the new Nimbus) The toe box is very roomy. Also, it does not crease like the 14. Nice cushion ride for big runners. I am 6'4" and 215 lbs. The real test will be the 20 miler later this week. I believe this is a good update and will prove to be a great stability shoe. Besides, my ortho doctor says stay with Asics. Believe I will.
