Allows ambient sound for better personal awareness of things happening around you
Without a doubt, these yurbuds Inspire Bluetooth earphones deliver what they say they do. Great sound, wireless convenience, good battery life, comfort, and quality. I've had these for about a month, including running a marathon with them, and here's what I think. First, most negative comments I've read are about either sound quality or comfort/fit. As far as sound quality, they are really good and still allow you to hear ambient noise (important for street runners). Are they audiophile quality? - No, but for sure they produce pretty darn good sound (especially with the right EQ setting on your device). I would even say better than the wired yurbuds I've had for over a year. One thing to note is that they may have a skip or two in sound semi-frequently if you wear your phone on a waist belt (I've tried both front and back). It isn't enough to be a huge deal, but I do find it somewhat distracting. Oddly enough, at home I can walk away 20-30 feet and not get that so I don't know why it happens when running. This has NEVER happened to me with the phone on an armband, so that's what I switched to. No biggie to me, but you may think differently. As for comfort/fit, if you've had wired yurbuds before these are pretty much exactly the same. Just find the size enhancers (the plastic earforms) for you and you should be good to go. The one thing I was worried about before I bought these was weight, but that has not been an issue. Yes they are a bit heavier than wired versions, but with the right size enhancers I have found them to basically disappear from notice after a few minutes. I have found personally that I like to wear the cord in front of my neck because I don't feel it at all that way. Also, make sure that the enhancers are rotated on the buds so that when in place in your ears, the phones are hanging straight down because I found that if they are slightly rotated they may tend to rotate the buds just enough to have them slip out after you're really sweaty. With the right position, this just doesn't happen. The battery life seems pretty good. In my experience so far I get about 6-7 hours on a full charge. Another point that has turned me off of other wireless phones I've looked at is the ease of use and location of the controls. There is a nice BIG button on these that controls pause, skip forward/back, and phone. Very easy to feel and operate, even with gloves. Volume up/down and on/off buttons are pretty well positioned but a little small. Still very usable, just not at all with gloves. Fortunately, I don't mess with them often while running so no big deal. In sum, if you have and like wired yurbuds, you'll like these. If you haven't tried yurbuds, it may be a leap of faith regarding the comfort/fit, but I bet if you have a little patience to find the right enhancers, you'll end up really liking these. I highly recommend these for runners who want wireless convenience, good sound, and great fit and comfort.

I bought these in the store, because I needed some cheap-ish earbuds. The #1 problem with them is that the part the goes around the ear, slips out of the earbud constantly. It is hard to describe, because I've never had earbuds with this design and never expected any earbuds would be like this. From the ear-inserted piece, there is a post that extends upward. The part the wraps around the ear slips over that post. This two-piece system is terrible. Example 1: the cord got caught on a shrub I was running past. The ear piece got yanked out and the little ear-hook part stayed behind my ear. I had to stop to reattach the two pieces. Example 2: at the end of an exhausting run, I bumped into someone I knew. I quickly removed the headphones and started talking to them as I walked back to my house. The next day, I went to put my headphones on for another run and noticed the ear-hook piece was missing. I had to backtrack my steps and luckily found the ear-hook piece, dirty and in the street.
Recommendation: don't buy these! I am hoping they fully break or get lost so that I can justify new ones!
Good sound, but horrible design.
I'm a college student and I bought these because they were one of the only brands sold at my campus' bookstore when my other headphones broke. While the sound and durability of these headphones is of decent to good quality, the design of them is horrible. They're "adjustable" with 3 pieces (the part that goes around your ear, the earphone/speaker, and the cushion that goes on the earphone) which means that they come apart so you can make them fit your ear better. Unfortunately, they also come apart when you don't want them to..quite often. There have been MANY times when I'm using the earphones that the speaker falls out of the earpiece and I have to catch the earpiece before it falls to the ground. There have also been NUMEROUS times in which the cushions on the earphone have fallen off while I'm getting the earphones out and unraveling the knot in them (you know the knot that all earphones magically get the second you put em in a pocket or backpack lol) to put em in my ear. I can not tell you how many times on campus I've had to retrace my steps for atleast a few minutes just to try and find the cushion to one or both of the headphones because it had fallen off somewhere. It has happened so many times that I got fed up and HAD to write a review on these headphones just so others can heed my warning. One time, I was walking from class to work, which is about 12 minutes, and I was unraveling the knot in the headphones only to get halfway to work and realize that the cushion had fallen off somewhere, so I had to retrace my steps all the way back to my class, which is where it fell off. Wasted at least 15 minutes...and I couldn't leave it because the earphones are very uncomfortable and not loud without the cushion. So, all in all, the sound on these is cool, but if you buy 'em, be prepared to retrace your steps a LOT!
Proved To Be Less Durable Than Expected
Upgraded to a new phone back in March and turned my iPhone 5c in for $100 in Verizon credit. With the store credit I bought an Otter Box case and these Yurbuds Inspire 300. I was looking for a reasonably priced exercise-oriented pair of headphones so I picked these out. I run on a regular basis, from 5k training runs up to 10k runs, averaging 4-5 days per week. The headphones proved to be excellent at staying put in my ears, and it was a little weird at first because I am used to having to adjust my ear buds frequently throughout my runs because they start coming loose from my ear. Although the Inspire 300 advertise as being sweat resistant, I think the left ear bud shorted out because after about 4 or 5 months of using them, it started to cut in and out. I have to tap it a few times for it to cut back on and start outputting audio. I never abused these earbuds and kept them in my backpack when not in use. Never submerged them in water or dropped them either. Honestly, I should have tried to return them at an earlier time and get a discounted/free replacement, but instead I just stuck them in a drawer and resorted to using my old cheap pair of JVC gummies, which have given me no problems. TL;DR They perform as advertised when it comes to staying snug in your ears, but the durability turned out to be not so great. I'm not saying you shouldn't buy these because for 40 bucks they produce great sound and are comfortable to exercise with. Maybe I got a defect or maybe I sweated too much and it accumulated in the rubber covers and shorted the speaker out. Either way, test a pair out and see for yourself.
Great fit and sound quality, but terrible controls
I bought these headphones in February 2016. The control button had issues from day one, but the sound and fit were excellent, so I dealt with it. Within a month, the control button stopped working. I could no longer answer calls or change songs, but that's not the worst part. The control button started sending random signals to my phone, hijacking the screen, launching apps, launching and controlling the camera (hundreds of bust shots in minutes while I am running and my phone is put away) and randomly dropping the volume to zero or cranking it to max volume (ouch). For months, I thought there was something wrong with the audio jack on my phone causing this, as my phone had been dropped during a run a day before it started. Then, I finally tried my headset on another mobile device. When the same thing happened, I knew it was actually the headset. So frustrating! Sixteen months later this headset still sounds great and fits well, although the ear covers frequently fall off. I'm still using this headset on my computers, where the control button has no effect, but I can no longer deal with it during my morning runs, so I'm looking for a replacement. I am debating getting another unit, since the headset fits me so well and the sound is excellent, but I'm very weary of the poor audio control on this headset. I may go with the Inspire 200, which lacks a mic and control button, just to avoid it.

I LOVE these headphones. Some of the hard plastic earbuds begin to hurt your ears after an hour or so of use. I‚??ve also never been able to get the ‚??in the ear‚?Ņ headphones to stay in my ear for more than 2 minutes. These are a totally different story. The whole twist and lock thing is really quite genius. They rarely fall out and are very comfortable. These headphones have lived longer than any pair I‚??ve ever owned. As a college student and avid runner, I use them pretty heavily which is impressive that they are still working after 3 years. I also have a tragus piercing (the little nub that goes in front of your ear hole) so one of my concerns was that they would get in the way of each other. This is not the case, it does get a little sore if I wear them for hours on end but for the most part it is not an issue. The only down side to these headphones is that the little rubber ends tend to fall off pretty frequently. It doesn‚??t usually happen while they are in my ears though. They usually fall off in my backpack or in my purse which can be a bit of a hassle to find. That means if you aren‚??t careful you can easily lose those. I have not found a place where you can get just a replacement for the rubber pieces, so odds are, if you lose them you‚??ll have to buy a new pair. All that being said, I think this is a great product and I plan on being a lifetime customer.
I bought this particular model of Yurbuds because it has the button that works with Android phones. The button has always felt flimsy, but it worked well for a short period of time. After the first few uses, it started becoming unreliable. At this point, it hardly ever works. Also, there's no way to secure the rubbery covers (the part that actually goes into your ear) to the main earbud part. I didn't realize those covers came off - until one completely disappeared a few weeks ago. I found it a few days later, but now it comes off everytime I wear them. The Yurbuds do stay in my ears well while I'm exercising, sound quality is good, and I haven't had any problems with the cord tangling up - maybe an occasional knot here and there, but it's easy to fix. It's a great idea in theory, but this model has a "beta" feel to it. Maybe one of the newer versions will be of higher quality. I would recommend Yurbuds, but not the Inspire Talk line.
These are my favorite headphones for working out! I bought a pair.. but a few months after using them.. the mic and button stopped functioning completely. But Yurbuds really takes care of their customers.. I contacted them and told them about my broken pair and they sent me a new pair :) and the new pair hasn't had any issues.. I love how easy they are to use.. the adorable color... and the fact that I can still hear ambient noise around me when using them (very important for outdoor runners and cyclists, for oh so many reasons) I have only 2 complaints about this product. First that I do wish the sound quality was better... they are a little tinny and bass doesn't really come through very well. Secondly The button function can sometimes be tricky when trying to change tracks, i often end up pausing my music when i'm really trying to skip a track. but other than that i love them!!

Very PLEASED indeed !!
Most of my workouts are very strenuous in that I have considerable head movement and, therefore, need earphones that won‚??t ‚??pop out‚?Ņ all the time. I‚??ve found that the ‚??twistlock‚?Ņ technology of these wireless earphones prevents that from happening as they have never fallen out! In addition to exercise workouts, I also enjoy jumping routines on the trampoline. Needless to say, that kind of activity really puts this product to the TEST and they have never failed me yet. Beyond that they are very comfortable and have never exerted any kind of pressure on my ears. I am very pleased with the 3 button control & mic for music and phone calls on my iPhone. The battery life is excellent and although I‚??ve never had to use it I like the lifetime warranty. I would highly recommend these earphones to use with any kind of physical activity.

I had the yurbuds wired and the fit was awesome. I wanted wireless and yurbuds didn't have them yet. I bought many others and none fit probably. Always popped out. Finally yurbuds came out with bluetooth. I bought them and they fit great. It was no doubt. The only thing I could never find is bluetooth that gets loud enough. These are as good any any I've found but the fit helps me maximize the sound. I wish they were louder. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars. I'm not sure if it's limitations with bluetooth or what. I use android. This particular phone is samsung note 3. Same phone with wired headphones are plenty loud. Anyway, I am happy with the purchase and refer anyone that has the standard round ends pop out of their ear canals, these are for you. If loudness is more important than wireless, go with yurbuds wired.

I received these as a Christmas present, and was very excited to use them as I sweat a LOT when I work out. First, the earbuds part of these work as advertised: I don't agree with a lot of the other reviews in that I thought the sound was great (maybe more bass would be nice, but really, what do you expect from such a small driver?). Also, this part was definitely sweat-proof. Unfortunately, the mic/controller on the cord is NOT sweat-proof. Once my shirt got wet from sweat, the thing started skipping all over, and became so annoying that I had to take them off. Tried these on 3 other occasions, and always the same thing. I've read this same problem with other Yurbuds earphones that have the mic/controller on the cord. Unfortunately, it seems that this part of the design is flawed. I'm exchanging for the less expensive Focus 200's, since they don't have the mic/controller on the cord, in hopes that these will work, but I'm disappointed that, since these were gifts (no receipt), I have to "trade down" in order to get a product that will work.
Best for comfort and ambient noise
I bought a set of these about a year ago, and have been very happy with them. I wear them while walking the dog and appreciate that I can hear traffic and other noises around me while wearing them. This is also the most comfortable earphones/mike combination I have tried. Unlike others, they stay in my ear without giving me a headache. I did have a problem with the original blue covers coming off when they needed washing, but I ordered the replacement covers (one got lost) and have not had any problems since. The design has been greatly improved, I hope the improved covers can be found on the new headphones now. I bought a pair for my 18 year old daughter, unfortunately her ears are even too small for the small (4) size, but she does have small ears. One size smaller would be great for her. Overall, well done!

Ill fitting and really bad sound
I bough these for use while working out. The sweatproof and removable/washable earpieces seem to work the way they are intended. However, the sound quality is terrible, especially for having such a large (15mm) driver. The Behind ear clip part is usually set at a bad angle that pulls the ear insert away from your ear, which only serves to make the sound thinner. It is adjustable, but it is still an awkward fit for my small ears. Either size of the enhancer is pretty uncomfortable (approaching painful if used for more than 20 minutes) in my ear and you will always be very aware that you are wearing these. The bass and sound separation are probably the worst I've come across (might be worse than the old stock apple ear buds). I thought the allowance of ambient noise would be ok, but these things are actually painful to use on airplanes with the level of ambient noise requiring the volume to be raised entirely too high. I will try to return these, but not sure if the retailer will allow it. I can't believe how bad these sound.
The only earbuds I want to use.
I've been using these earbuds for a few years now, and I don't know how I would get along without them. I am getting a little hard of hearing, and these earphones give me the best experience with both my music and my audio books. I am a little rough on them (I keep them in the back pocket of my jeans), and I broke the first pair I had, but I've gotten two more (one for backup). The two things I don't like about them are, 1) the tangle of the wires (they are rubbery and sticky), and 2) the constant adjustment of the little rubber bit that go inside the ear and the over-the-ear part. Every time it feels like an exercise spatial agility. However, I've gotten one of those little wire-wrap do-dahs that works great, and I'm about to glue the rubber bits into place permanently, so that should make these earphones perfect. Unfortunately, I haven't done the gluing yet, so I came here looking for replacement rubber bits. I might still find it, though; I haven't given up hope. Anyhoo, definitely 5 stars. I highly recommend them.
Great Earphone, but can improve
First off I want to make clear that this is a great earphone. The sound quality is better than other products at the same price, and it really sits in your ears regardless of the tough activities that you do, running, rowing, weight lifting, etc. However, the plastic cover will slowly starting to slip off really easily if you are not careful when taking the ear buds out. For example, when I put it in my pants pocket or bag, the cover would slip off when I take out the ear buds. This didn't happen to me at the beginning. Another issue is the material of the cord feels really great, very similar to Apple's ear buds but it's not durable. Avoid having contact with edges because they will tear somewhat easily. Avoid bundling them up, because they would eventually tear from that also. Mine has holes in them now because I put them in my pants when not using them. Besides those points, they are great for working out. I wish they would change the material onto something similar to plastic because those last forever.
Great first version, best on the market
I love my Yurbuds but was getting annoyed with the cord on my other pair when I ran. I couldn't wait to get these in my hands. They are extremely comfortable and wonderful sound quality. My only complaint is that the right ear consistently comes loose. I've noticed that when I do the twist lock on these, the outside is pointed more to the front than on my normal pair. But (I'm assuming) because of the extra weight on the right side with the controls, it falls back to vertical, loosens and the sound noticeably changes. So at times, I'm re-positioning the right ear bud several times in a short amount of time to get it back in place. Overall, however, I'm very pleased with Yurbuds first wireless product and I would absolutely recommend buying them over the other options in the market.

Truly the best earbuds ever!
I have tried numerous earbuds and have always either returned them, stored them, or gave them away. I was quite skeptical with the statements that these Yurbuds wouldn't fall out or hurt, as all the others had. I was surprisingly impressed with the outcome after trying these earbuds! They not only stay in, but they are very soft and extremely comfortably - even after long durations with them in! The value is superb for this product! This is a super product and I wish I had them earlier! The only add would be that the special connection to the earbuds can be lost easily when storing in a bag or pocket. This just requires a bit extra attention in regards to storage placement; other than that, Yurbuds are the only buds "Yur" gonna want or need!* *Trademark-author of this post!:)
Strong hold, weak Bluetooth, weak volume.
I use these with the volume cranked up to 11 and it is not enough. Further, the Bluetooth connection is weak so the sound clips out often. Keeping the phone (or Google Wear watch) on the same side of your body is mandatory if you want any reasonable connection. Weak connection seems to be related to poor battery life as well. I had no problem with battery on the headphones but my wear watch (Sony Smartwatch 3) did drain quite a bit faster. Fit was excellent and the Yurbud method is applied properly. The largish size of the headphones was not a problem as they are light and, again, Yurbuds don't want to fall out. Looking forward to the new "Leap" headphones as they look smaller and hopefully have the Bluetooth LE and a better antenna, perhaps one that runs along the tether.
Bad sound, broke quickly
This was my second purchase after the over-ear style I first bought both: fell apart/over ear piece went missing, and channel stopped working/static sound developed. This was within first couple of weeks. SOOO, I gave them one more try. This pair did the same thing sound-wise. Horrible scratchy sound, must turn them up very loud to even hear music and then the highs hurt your ears. One channel dropped out. Basically a mess within the first month of use. Interestingly enough, my husband has the regular earbuds (not for smaller ears/for men) and they sound NOTHING like these ever did, even before they broke. The larger ear buds are sound so much clearer and richer, at the same price point, it makes me mad. Why are the women's so much crappier? We have two pairs of the regular ear buds in use at our house now, going on 6 months and they still work and sound great. Why can't the smaller ones be made with the same quality? Frustrating to say the very least.
Honestly, very disappointed
These new 300s just arrived today and I was very excited to try them on... Unfortunately, as some of the reviews are saying, these headphones have absolutely disappointing sound quality. I've owned a pair of the original, white IronMan Yurbuds for over 3 years now and have never had a problem with them. The sound quality in the Originals are amazing. The bass is wonderful and full, the sound is overall very crisp and clean. These new buds sound muffled and more piercing! The bass sounds very dulled as well! I don't understand why Yurdbuds changed their sound quality design. You guys could be doing much better if you hadn't changed to this muffled, bassless nonsense. Honestly, the only plus is the magnetic feature. But I buy headphones for the sound quality, not magnetic features. That's what headphones are for: an exceptional music listening experience. I'm just very frustrated with the change. I'll be sending mine back.
Earphones that need instructions????
Just bought these and I will be taking them back to the store, immediately. First of all, any earphones that need instructions, in my opinion, seem to be of a poor design. Horribly uncomfortable, but wait!!! I can take a picture of my ear and send it in for custom fit?? It was a cheap pair and its way quicker to go back to the store and exchange them for a different pair, they expect way too much from a customer. I was hoping it had a smaller or larger cushion to use since it was uncomfortable. The cushion itself is one size fits all, because that's how all people are made, right? Also the box says made for athletes and allows ambient sound. Why does anyone other than runners want ambient sound while wearing headphones? The whole point is to NOT hear anything other than what you put on the headphones for. I was excited about them being sweat proof and not falling off. Sorely disappointed.
Good, but can enhance the sound of wind
I have had these for quiet a while and own several different models of Yurbuds. All the models seem to enhance the noise level of the wind when speeds exceed about 15mph. I have experimented with different sizes of enhancers, no improvement has been noted in noise reduction just comfort of fit was either increased or decreased. Also, I lost the left "behind the ear" mount while adjusting the fit during a bike ride leaving the vertical post to jab me in the side of the head for the remainder of the ride (30 miles). Unfortunately, it appears as these are not available for replacement purchase. Overall, the magnets work great for tangle free storage and the cord length is just right to run under my jersey and into the back pocket without a ton of excess cordage. I will continue to recommend this product, just do not try to adjust while riding for risk of losing the "behind the ear" mount.
Fit great. packaging misleading
So I bought the 100s a year or two ago and loved how they fit and that they truly never fall out. I have never been able to find a pair of earbuds that will stay in my small ears even just walking down the street. I somehow managed to lose mine so I went to replace them. the allowing of ambient noise kind of annoyed me so today when I went to find a new pair I wanted to avoid that feature. I spent a lot of time debating whether I wanted to spend double the price to get the 300s but after searching the packaging nowhere did it say the 300s allowed ambient noise and so I decided to purchase them instead of just replacing my 100s. I got home and took them out and put them in only to discover that they too allow ambient noise, it's just not on the box like it is for the 100s. Very disappointed as I would have just repurchased the 100s if I knew they both had that feature.
I bought these earbuds about 3 weeks ago and I am really glad that I did. The sound is superb! I am a vocalist & my boyfriend is a musician/producer & I let him listen to them & he LOVED them! And unlike other earbuds, they're very comfortable to wear & don't fall out. However, my only problem is that I guess because my ears got a little sweaty from wearing them for so long that when I took them off the ear coverings slipped off & now I lost 1. I did take a picture & emailed it along with my complaint & they responded right away & shipped me out a replacement pair because the replacement pair that came with earbuds are too big. But again, these are the best earbuds I've ever worn & believe me, I've worn bought & worn a lot of them. In the future, I will consider buying the earbuds specifically designed for women. Thanks Yurbuds/JBL for making a great product! God bless!
These are great!
I bought these because I have small ears and most earbuds don't stay in my ears, plus they hurt. These however are great! I would have given 5 stars, but I had to take off the over the ears part. With those attached, I just couldn't get them in the right position and they were uncomfortable. Without them, however, they actually stay in my ears and they are comfortable. These are the first earbuds I have found that actually stay in my ears. The sound is great too. It is too bad that these ones don't have a microphone, but the ones for women's ears are specifically made for smaller ears. By the way, I know these are meant for runners, but I don't run. I hate running.
Fargo, ND, United States
I love the sound quality, the quick-click feature, and the fact that they are blue! I use them constantly, and I quite literally mean constantly. I have them in at least one ear all day, unless I am at work or asleep. My only complaint is that at times, they do hurt my ears, but not quite so much as the Focus 100's I have as well. Well-worth the price, and they are durable. Worn for both everyday and during workouts, I love them. Yes, I would, and have, reccomended them to friends. Just be wary that long-wear can cause some pain, but I expected that. Also the little rubber piece on the earbud pops off on occasion, it took me a while to figure out how to fix it. As soon as I figured it out, they are once again, excellent. Best sound quality on a pair of headphones I have yet to find, which is impressive. I've gone through a lot of headphones, hah.
Just what I was Looking for
I am a commercial truck driver and needed a headphone that does not completly block outside ambiant sound. I did a lot of research and these are exactly what I was looking for. If you are looking for headphones that block all outside noise then these are not for you. If you are looking to enjoy your music and/or be able to talk on the phone but still be albe to interact with the people and other outside auditory inputs then these headphones are for you. The headphones stay in your ear securily and fit comfortabley even after a full shift. I cannot be cut off from my environment completely as I would not be able to work. I can hear as much or as little of my abiant souroudings as i need to by adjusting my volume level. I cannot review there durability as i have only used them a couple of weeks but so far they a seem to be up to the talk.
Good for cheap earbuds
I have seen these in exercise shops all around town so I decided to give them a shot. The concept is pretty good. I like how they try to fit snug in the ear. Took me a bit to adjust the rubber parts to my ear and adjust the earpieces. The downside, to me personally is the sound quality. I am an audiophile so there has to be a good mix of highs, mids, and lows. Honestly, there isn't any bass. I like a lot of bass when I work out, especially since I workout to a lot of techno/dance based music. There literally isn't any bass in these headphones. To me, these don't sound equalized. Personally, I would use these for a last resort if I had a better pair of headphones. What really threw me off about this product is they are designed by JBL, which is a really good company for audio products, but with these headphones I was disappointed.
Get the right fit!
I bought these about a year ago because I have small ears and thought that these would fit my ears because of the smaller sizes. I opted for the smallest fit and had no problems until about 6 months in. They kept falling out. I emailed a picture of my ear to the company and low and behold it was actually too small for my ears and I needed the next size up! I had to have them send me a new set, I had GREAT customer service and was sent them promptly. So just make sure you keep all the silicone covers just in case you need to switch them. I LOVE them now that they fit great, great sound and I can still hear the traffic while running so they are safe!
Never fall out??
I received these as a gift from my daughter. I was excited to get them, as I never had any luck with any other style of earbud, they would not stay in my ears. My excitement was short-lived, however, as these didn't stay in my ears, just like all the rest. After several e-mails with customer service, they sent me different size enhancers, but I still can only expect them to stay in for maybe 30 minutes at the most. Not exactly what I would call "never fall out". I wear them while pressure washing at work, if I was a runner I would probably consider taping them into my ears, because I can guarantee they would fall out within a minute!
