Keep baseball the way its meant to be, NATURAL. Just because people can't swing properly you don't make a bat that automatically makes them better. You should work to make yourself better rather than taking the easy way out. If you use this bat it doesn't show skill it shows lazyness and lack of passion for the game. You will never see a major league ball player with a rotating handle because they WORKED to get to where they are and don't take shortcuts. I'm disappointed that Easton would make something so disgraceful to the great game of baseball. I'm sure anyone who cares about the game and who has worked as hard as I have to get to my level of play is just as upset as I am. Also you can't put a price on skill. A lot of people cant afford this bat, putting them at a disadvantage to privilaged players.
Best bat on the market
This is the best bat I've ever had in my life. So much pop in this bat. I've used all kinds of bats and this one is key to having a great season at the plate. For high school and college players I recommend this bat. Trust me amazing feel and pop.
Bat Has Very Good Pop
I weighed the Pro's and Con's along with the price tag and decided to purchase for my Son. Watched some College games and noticed some of the Players using this same bat. Prior to removing wrapping off bat I reminded my son the price & to be sure he wanted this bat. Bat is amazing! My son plays Varsity and absolutely loves this bat & claims this bat's almost not fair to use . The handle helps him get his hands & bat around quicker with very good pop, ball flies off his bat. It's still early, not sure about the durability. The tape on the handle seems to be inferior & should of came with Lizard skin for this price. ( maybe ther's a reason for the cheap tape, too early to tell) Overall, I would recommend this bat.
Spring Branch Texas
My local store just got in the new mako torqs and I was excited to go see them. I felt the little league, senior league, and BBCOR models and noticed something they all had in common. The twisty handle was very inconsistent for example one of them was so stiff that actually trying to twist it was a problem and some where the handle spun when you flicked it. Overall I believe this was a terrible idea especially if your adding 100$ for something that in my opinion messes up your swing. Hopefully Easton will not bring this back.

Amazing bat with lots of pop
I used a prototype bat in a camp before it released, and the handle was neat and maximized barrel space. This bat is loaded with pop and i recommend it. Sexy.

Great Bat For Almost All Ages
I really enjoyed swinging this bat! The knob didn't take long at all to get used too and doesn't really affect my swing much anyway! The grip is the only concern I have. considered the handle is a rotating handle I have no clue how to retape the bat and make it look good but other than that I thought performance was great! Me not being a power hitter and having never hit a homerun out of the park made me wondering if the bat could help me gain some power which is did! My first year playing High School ball I almost sent one out the yard just barely hit the top of the fence and stayed in! So for me this line drive bat brings some power with it! My only concern would be for younger kids that don't completely know how to swing a bat well or kids that are still learning because while this bat can save you from rolling over in a game it can also cause bad habits if you aren't cautious with your swing! Overall I love this bat and would recommend it to any above average fundamentally sound hitter!
To all of those who think this bat Isn't a good bat think again. This bat is the same exact thing as the easton mako besides the handle. The bat has great pop after breaking it in a little and you just have to get used to the rotating handle and you will be hitting great. That being said, you have to be a good hitter to hit the ball. A bat changes only a little when It comes to baseball. This bat gives the hitter quick swing speed because it is the SAME barrel as the mako. The mako and the torq are great bats and if you need improvement on ur hands then get the torq.
Central New York
The 2015 mako is the best bat I have ever owned do not get the mako torq it's the worst bat I have ever swung and way to over priced, for the money definitely get the regular mako
Takes getting used to
At first I wasn't sure about the rotating handle until I took some cuts with it and absolutely fell in love. Easily the best bat I've ever owned, somewhat pricy but if you can afford it, I recommend it.
Takes time to get used to, but once you get the feel for it, the bat is gold.
The bat barrel is the same as the mako. If you can afford it, she is a nice bat. The handle takes a little while to get used to, but once you develop a rhythm it becomes an extension of your hand. Only con (and this isnt even confirmed) is that im scared that it wont last very long because of its handle.

palm up/palm down?
overall this is a cool concept for a bat. i would say though, do you really need this? it has massive pop and a great look but all the handle does is force you to go palm up/palm down. you can do that with a bat that has a handle that doesn't move already, and save a couple hundred bucks while you're at it. this would be a phenomenal bat for the players who need the help getting palm up/palm down cemented into their swing, but if you are already there, i wouldn't recommend getting this bat. also the price is way too high but and way more than i would ever be willing to spend on a bat.
very fast and has great pop
I bought this bat at the beggining of december and i have not hade any prfoblems. I should swing a 32 29 bat but i swing a 33 30 bat because of the handle.

From Brookline Knights Baseball
On behalf of the Brookline Knights Baseball Club I am writing this review. Our team got our MAKO TORQs early, around Mid-June. We went into our cage to try it out, and were disappointing by the results. The bat seemed to basically be the same as the standard MAKO. It had no extra pop, and the new handle didn't seem to hold any real benifet. for possible players considering to purchase this bat, don't. Go with the regular MAKO, which is much better, and much less money. Thank You, Brookline Knights Baseball Club
Great bat and helps me keep consistent hitting
This is a great bat and very helpful for consistently hitting solid hits. Once you get used to the twist it helps you hit inside pitches yet get faster to the ball. I just bought one a few days ago and it has already helped my swing out a lot.(I am 13 years old) I hit for 6 1/2 hours yesterday and I already got used to it and break the bat in. It is a little overpriced but it is worth it once you learn to use it. I defiantly recommend it to anyone who roles over or has trouble hitting inside pitches.

TORQ: yay or nay?
I think that this bat has very good pop and the ball flies off the bat. The bat however does come across little bit top heavy. This isn't a problem for someone my size ( 180lbs and 5'11in. ) but it may be a problem to some. The rotating handle may not be the right choice for all people. I found myself going palm down and then popping balls up sometimes. Good bat but if you don't need e handle then I would recommend the mako!

This is a very well put together bat and does get through the zone quickly. The bat is however a little top-heavy which is a problem. The bat does however have a ton of pop and is a great investment if your child is serious about baseball. The only thing besides the bat being top-heavy is the price. However, if your son/daughter is serious about baseball like a mentioned earlier then you might be able to overlook the price.
This bat was made for certain players. I personally think it's a genius idea. I tried it and it was okay, I prefer the regular mako. But I seriously recommend testing it out for yourself. Don't take your friend or coaches intake on the bat because you will be the one swinging it. All in all, I really recommend trying it because you could love it like a lot of people I know.
Try it first.
I got to try this bat because one of my team mates got one. I did not like the rotating handle but otherwise the bat felt pretty good. This was not for me so try it first before you get it and if you don't like it go with the regular mako because thats the one i got.

what it does
the reason for the handle is to eliminate the barrel drop when your wrists break in a swing you get more power that way you sould not grab the bat with your middle knuckles in a line if you do it might as well me a regular mako
This bat is a terrible idea. I get it gives you power but if you really love baseball and you want to take it far don't get this bat. The major concern is it will make that transition to wood even harder.
Gets you in the zone fast!
birthday present for my 11 year old 80 lbs daughter was swinging a 18 oz 31" easton pb fs3 bat and moved up to the mako torq 21 oz. 31" swing is much more controlled with more power. Great bat!!
Amazing Bat Worth The Price
To those who say this bat has no pop, obviously don't own the bat. This bat is quick, and consistently hits the ball with intense pop and you can really feel the drive of the ball.
Martinsburg, WV, USA
I got this for my birthday and at first i didn't know how i would like the handle rotating but after swinging it in bp it feels amazing and is easy to adjust to overall 10/10
Used this bat for 2 seasons. Great pop, rotating handle was very helpful. This bat hit it considerably farther than my Louisville.
Love love love this bat. Very balanced and has excellent pop. Yet to find a bat I love more than my mako
This bat is really well balanced with a large sweet spot. Really good pop. Would recommend this bat.
Los Angeles, CA
I have own every power brigade bat, and out of all of them the mako torq is best.
This bat is amazing
I love the way the bat feels when you hit the sweet spot...

2015 Easton Torq BBcore
In my opinion absolutely the worst model easton has put out. The bat has not pop to it. It's more about the handle spinning. Easton forgot about the actual barrel. I believe my wood bat has more flex on it then the torq. Save your money and buy the xl1 or the mako.

BEST BAT BY FAR
This bat is very amazing!! Love the grip on the handle. I used this myself and it is worth every single dollar of the bat! Amazing bat!
