Men's BROOKS® CASCADIA 11 :: Conquer the trails no matter how rough the road ahead in the Men's Cascadia 11. Tackle tricky terrain like it's no big thing in the 4-point pivot posts that balance your body and absorb shock much like an SUV's independent suspension system. Protect your feet in the BioMoGo DNA and Ballistic Rock Shield underfoot, and get loads of locked in, stay cool comfort from the Moisture-Management Mesh featured on the Cascadia 11.
The last couple pairs of Brooks Cascadia shoes have been disappointing--it seems like this company is cutting corners and cheapening its product. The Cascadia 10's were ripping out on the sides with minimal use. Now, the Cascadia 11 is super narrow and quite tight between the tongue and the toe box. This caused blisters to begin on the top of my foot. Something is different about this fit beyond it just being more narrow. I have used the Cascadia for 7 years and loved them. The last two versions have me looking elsewhere for a new replacement shoe. Also, they shortened the shoe laces making it very difficult to double tie the laces--an important feature when trail running!
Solid Performance in a Stable Trail Shoe
The Cascadia 11 is a solid, stable trail running shoe that deftly combines good traction, lateral stability, and a protective sole guard with relatively light weight. It is a pleasure to run in over just about any terrain. The fit is supportive and snug through the heel and instep, and there is ample room in the toe box. It handles uphills, downhills, and uneven terrain confidently. The cushioning is good but not overdone. The foot strike feels solid, with a nible toe-off. Overall, the Cascadia 11 is a comfortable trail shoe that handles varied terrain with ease. Hopefully, Brooks has solved the problem of tearing in the uppers that was endemic in the Cascadia 10s. My only complaint so far: the laces seem kind of short. And my feet are fairly narrow. Other than that minor quirk, these shoes are terrific.
Awkward fit sent me back to Hoka
Although the construction appears to be excellent, the fit of this shoe is very narrow. I usually wear a size 10 1/2 to 11. A size 11 here felt like I was wearing a 10. Returned for a size 11 1/2 hoping for a better fit and it was the same tight feel and I have an average width foot. Returned for the second time. Never have had this experience with a RRS product. I have worn Cascadias in the past and was very happy with previous models. Going back to Hokas.
These shoes work!
3rd pair in a row; all used off road on all terrain with lots of climbing and descending. I just finished my first ever 100 miler in 1 pair and they held up fine. I'll keep buying them because they work great. Good traction and stability and the uppers hold up well. I've put 250+ on the last 2 pairs before the uppers began breaking down, but it was time for new shoes any ways and the soles were still in ok shape.
I really like these shoes. They have amazing tread and the lacing system really has solid arch support. I read where someone wrote that they had a very narrow fit. I felt that when I first put them on but I think it is just how the exterior part of the shoe is shaped. The actual interior fit of the shoe does not feel narrow to me. I would buy another pair.
The sole is narrow at the ball of the foot which is great for trail running, less chance of rolling an ankle on uneven terrain.
Super trail running and backpacking shoe
This is a good running and hiking shoe for trails and unimproved surfaces. The fabric dries quickly, and the sole protects feet from rocks, roots and sharp points. I love mine..
Glad I did
I've been using the Cascadia 8 and skipped on 9 and 10 as they are too narrow for me but this new one....my feet fit rights in and super comfortable to run with!
Comfortable Right Out of the Box
HAve just used them to run around town so far. I'm looking forward to having an opportunity to run on some trails in them. Very comfortable so far.
The do everything cool looking shoe.
Yeah these are great..
Sturdy, comfortable and cool looking. Slight retro look. Running, cycling and hot weather golfing...the all-in-one shoe.
Too tight than their usual shoes.
The Too small'tight for brooks shoe. Had to return them and I wear a 11 woman's shoe but buy men's for Because my feet are wide.
The only one I will ever wear
I'm an avid hiker and this is the only show I'll wear!
Second pair I've owned in this model. Good as before.
Love the shoe, fits great lots of comfort!
